  • Your birthday is the day before mines! Aquarius!!! But yea I used to get the same thing before I cut my hair and before I got my sew in. I constantly was asked if my hair was real but what used to get me is when I told them yes and they would say, "no it's not!"....like what? That would gring my gears!

  • I love your make up in this video its really pretty :)

  • You have GORGEOUS eyes, and you're pretty..

  • Comment removed

  • So relat to this....I always get this question too.."am I mixed?"no black to the bone, and with long hair, thats it....

  • And I am happy for you that you have and achieving longer hair . I can't wait !!!

  • hahahaha , I love this ! Sprouts !!!

  • Well I'm not a female...I'm a 16 year old male. I have nice, groomed straight & sometimes wavy hair when I wear a du rag... people always ask me am I native america or Hispanic just because of the texture of my hair..They ask if I use texturizers & perms! I've never understood im just always like "Damn, black people can't have nice hair" why you gotta be a different race to have a good texture of hair! That's so stupid to think that way....

  • @maliklik95 You should come to South Africa - you'll really fit in! There's a race called 'coloured' and they (we) have all different textures of hair and skin color - the most diverse ever lol

  • Great job on your hair care, You make us women of color proud!

  • i just wanted to ask u what did use on ur hair 2 for it to grow out that long and healthy

  • do you have a tutorial on this, jesus that is so cute!

  • Btw...what lashes are you wearing in this video?

  • I fully understand what you mean in your video. I'm on a hair journey and I've just grown my hair from neck length to shoulder length and some people think that I put in extension. Also, when I tell people that I'm on a hair journey I get comments that it is not possible to grow my hair that long because black people's hair can't grow that long if they aren't mixed and if my hair was never past my shoulders when I was natural. Smh..

  • @ElsHouse wait...youre a dude? And youre making generalizations about what black WOMEN do to their hair?......your probably just some ghetto uneducated clown so I can't even get offended lol

  • I don't have this problem with being asked if I'm mixed because I'd the length of my hair (sholder length) but more so the texture...because of the conditioning that africa americans were forced to endure, many if us believe that anything "beautiful" different or our of the norm had to come from some racial delusion...we were taken from all over the sub sarah. So of course we will range in color, hair texture- and features

  • What is your background, ethnicity, etc? I've been trying to find a video where you may have stated it, but I can't find one. :(

  • @Elshouse in a natural state black women have VERY THICK HAIR, so running a comb through it isn't always the easiest thing. Does not mean that their hair is nappy. Also! Black hair is also curly from tiny curls to big curls and curls get tangled. So I think your statement should be rephrased, just my opinion. I know plenty of full black girls who have longer than I do, and my hair when straight ends about an inch above my hips. So I think your world needs to be a little more diversed and open.

  • Funny cuz my hair wasnt even long n (black) ppl were like "what are you?" ----- that actually weirded me out cuz i dont look mixed and they jjust randomly put thier hand in my hair feeling around for tracks which just made me laugh actually lol

  • this girl is really cute

  • People think my best friend's hair is fake because there was purple in it. And shes white.....

  • "you gonna axe me that..." well, we know you definitely speak black!

  • assume? This dumb broad does not realize that majority of black women cant grow that kind of hair!!

  • @ElsHouse The majority of black women could grow their hair that long IF the take care of it correctly...You just have to know what you're doin

  • @CocoPuffpbpjc r u fucking 4 real? You putting perm in your hair. That aint fucking natural. Stop pl ayin. Black women naturally do not have long hair. They naturally have PUFFY hair, as in Afro. Fuck off with that shit for the thirsty nigga. U talking to a real man here.

  • @ElsHouse Yeah and even black women with natural hair can have long hair I've seen quite a few of them I could name some right here on youtube if you'd like :)

  • Very valid points. My hair was about as long as yours in middle school and I got that alot too and it did hurt my feelings but I got over it and took it as compliments in the end!

  • Its funny how people assume that blacks cant have long hair lol. my little sis and i both have long hair down our back and we are black no weave nada. i remember when i was at work a few years ago stocking the shelf when i felt my pony tail being pulled, i turned around and this little old lady was like "oh that is your hair" ummm duh rudeness!!

  • @jadesleo uh, it is a correct assumption. Black women, by and large, have nappy hair in its natural state.

  • I've been told.. Not even asked.. TOLD that my hair is weave -__-. It always pissed me off but now I just brush it off like watever think what yu want I told u its real. Sprouts, thats a good one loll

  • I Love your hair ! keep doing what you're doing and the people that give you those looks are just mad!!!!! :)

  • I watched one of your videos for the first time and clearly, one should realize that that is your real hair. I hate when people ask Black women " Is that your real hair?" I wonder if they would ask an asian,white...etc woman that.

  • @CarynAmber because it is mainly blacks that wear weaves. Stop being in denial.

  • @ElsHouse Denial? When you get some data that supports your comment, then I would support what you are saying about the hair weave. Seems like you are making a generalization about a group of people based on what you see in a particular area. I am sure you have not traveled the world and seen every African/African American woman because if you have you wouldn't dare make that comment.

  • Sprouts! That is a good one :)

  • you go girl!!!! its the same here! i wish i had a £1 each time a person ask me "OMG is that your hair...." or "Excuse me where did you buy this hair from" and i reply : well i am not too sure i ve got to ask my parents as i am born with it :-)

  • people in my highschool boy and girl always say i have a weave and the girls give me dirty looks but i don't care because i know my hair is real

P.S my hair is past shulder length

  • they*

  • @MissHelloKayla im glad i dont think of blondes like tht. tht seems very unfair for ppl to just assume things about ppl tht dont even kno.

  • when i first got my hair permed back in '08... ALOT of black women asked me if my hair was a weave n i even gained a few haterz too. so yea... thts always nice ;)

  • omg i'm so jelious on your hear.

i'm 100% african and lives in holland. when i have relaxt me hair, and no weave.

every body also ask to me is that you real hear. buth my hear is not so long as yours. exectly i thing i'ts realy short. buth i'ts realy thick. i do everything to got my hair longer i have 20 of diffrend hair products to let it grow. every 3 monds my hair grows a little bit. soo, i'm on the right way!

PS i love you megan you are my biggest exempel xoxo

  • Thank yo for addressing this. People seem to think that being mixed is some sort of compliment. Plenty of us dark and lovely's have long hair. Thanks for the video.

  • growing up I had that question all the time!

  • When i first grew my hair out it was long and thick people kept wanting to touch it and i got so furious i chopped it off and now i cant get it to grow back that length what i would say is is they say are you mix say yeah its called y and x chromosome and mom and dad......and the name of your weave its called genetics try it....lol i think your personality is what surprise them because u are not quick to flaunt it in their face and be like yeah its real unlike yours. Just keep being who u are.

  • I understand why you would be annoyed especially when you have put so much time & effort into making your hair healthy & growing it. I get the same assumptions because my hair is long & thick. People have gone so far as to run their fingers through it or grab it to check to make sure it's really mine. Smh.

  • well next time someone ask if thats a weave, ask if their tits are real ;) and if they say your mixed, tell them "oh? and thats a nice curvy body you got going on(no homo) you MUST be mixed somewhere down the line" said that to a read head and she was furious, then winked and walked off. when people ask you questions, ask them the same questions but attack something on that isnt natural for them to have unless its fake or they are mixed somewhere down the line to have. put em in check

  • @Naruto4479 oops, I mean "red head"

  • I get this question lately too. I dont really take care of my hair alot. You motivate me to take care of my hair more so i can let it grow. Your hair is wonderful.

  • "Sprouts 020889." Lol.

  • please tell me you have a tutorial for this makeup look :)

  • I usally have my hair in a bun and alot of people ask me if its my real hair or if im mixed ecspecially when i get my hair done at first but technically i am mixed because my father is mixed with white and black so i have a little white in me but mostly balck. But my sister and my brother and alot of my cousins have curly hair but i dont

  • Aint no shame in being mixed though...

  • i hate that even at work a co-worker would see that i got my hair done and ask me if thats real ..and im like why does that matter ...he was like it must be fake..so rude.. maybe next time i should ask him if his face is real or not

  • I GETT THE SAME THING ...."IS THAT YOU'R REAL HAIR?".....MY AUNT,MY MOM,AND I GET ASKED THAT ALL THE TYME......IT IS ANNOYING.....TO ME ANYWAY ...ANYWAY GREAT VIDEO

  • umm for the record Somalis and Ethiopian or east African for that matter do not have no arab blood in them these are indigenious ppl of africa somalis are muslim yes but so are other ppl in other country like indonesia but they are not arabs. Somalis are a Cushitic with so many ethnic groups and tribe within it self And ethiopians are either habesha, oroomo or the Tigrays that borders Eritrea. And dont get me started on the rest of Africa cause i dont have enough space

  • Yes all my life, strangers I understand because my hair is very dense and course but my family still scrabble my roots for tracks...They even try to say I am mixed from my fathers side lol

I grew out my bangs because it made my hair look fake, I am only apl goodness knows what they will say when I am waistlength.

  • Beautiful Eye Look!!! would you please do a tutorial on it ...you are an inspiration to young girls...my daughter is 12 yrs old and we watch you and a few of the other young ladies on you-tube all the time....I'm trying to raise a young lady and not a hood-rat, so I constantly show her young black women who take care of themselves and love themselves. So continue on your journey and be blessed in everything you do!! Thank You

  • I'm glad that you also said a certain health of hair. I've been asked if I was mixed because of how healthy my hair appeared to be and its only NL and almost at CBL because of the tips and knowlegde that I recieve from your videos. I've also seen lot of girls with hair as long as yours and would most likely not be asked these types of questions like "Are you mixed?" and "Is that your real hair?" because their hair appeared to be soo unhealthy.

  • i don't wear weave and people ask me all the time if i do because my hair is very healthy and jet black . they say " omg, what kind of hair is that ?" i reply " mother nature " haha !

  • yes i have had people ask if i had a weave and say oh u just got GOOD HAIR.. WHAT? When my hair is straight and relaxed I really get that because I have thick hair that grows long.. People are just stupid!

  • THAT IS KINDS STUPID ur hair dont look like a weave at all..too thin..

  • i absolutely love your makeup!! its beautiful!! and when i was about 14 someone on a public bus questioned if my hair was real, it was about shoulder length but is extremely thick, I let the women touch my head to show her is wasnt a sew-in lol

  • 0:41

  • Honey you inspire me them people just hating that think African Amercians cant grow long hair.

  • I like her!!!

  • i think people assume because some black women still dont know how to take care of their hair.

  • I get the same bkuz my texture and length but I am mixed ...but still

  • I get asked if I have a perm and I am fully black. No I dnt. I just blow dry.

  • My hair is just past my shoulders (straightened) and I mainly wear it unstraightened so it looks shorter.

I get weave/wig questions and "are you mixed" questions too. Long length will get those questions more, but sadly even hair that just appears to be very healthy can get questioned too.

I don't let it bother me. It's one of the negative sides to human nature. Pure ignorance. Even many people with the same textures don't believe their hair can grow long or even look healthy.

  • Can you plz do a makeup tutorial on this makeup look, it' stunning !!! I lOVE IT!!

  • How did u get ur hair to grow?

  • I love this video its sooo true!

  • i like the eyes shadow....i dnt kno how to apply eyeshadow...TUTURIAL

  • just tell those 8trs to kiss yo @ss!! i get that all the time mainly from white girls. It's called jealousy, dont let it bother u. i dont anymore it just let me know i must look really good for u to hate so much!!

  • @jacienz same here, only sometimes even though your smart you feel insecure and think about colouring it.... i haven't though thank god, lol

  • Hahaha I love your "Sprouts" answer, I am bsl and never know how to answer so this (+ my own bday) will be my new response

  • You look soooooooooo gorgeous here, Meg!

  • I had a weave... It wasn't even that long or anything but my co worker called me out and was all like "thats not your hair!" Like I didnt know that or something... So I had to set her straight - "how you figure its not my hair"... so we got into ... "just because I'm black I can't have nice hair" (she's white). I don't know if I convinced her or not... but don't try to call me out in a crowd.... lol :)

  • I get the same questions and my hair isnt even that long -_- I hate because I have curly hair because I am jamaican /indian and when I straighten it people think I got tracks I hate that because it really is not that long

  • Yessss I've been asked if I had tracks in. But I don't even understand why because my hair is only a lil past my collar bone. I guess they don't even think that black peoples hair can be even that long lol its sad...... My hairs not even that long anyway!

  • I've been asked if I put a weave in my 6 y/o daughter's hair. Seriously? Who puts a weave in a baby's? As if little black girls can't have long hair.

  • @andypandyelizabeth Girl u b surprised I have witness little girls barely even walkin with them like crochet brads n there hair.... shit is tragic cuz they doin more damage to the babys hair.

  • Megz, you are so cute and funny. Hey, what is your sister doing? I mean, you are sisters. Does she have a channel, or are you just into different stuff?

  • wow u were born on my sons bday except his is 2/8/05

  • I get that question SO many times! People assume I'm wearing weaves and I've had strangers come up and ask for the number of my hairdresser or who did my weave for me. I'm as African as they come- born to 2 African parents- no mixture in our family, but people keep trying to say I must be mixed with arabs, indian etc... its so funny!!

  • Just like: If your blonde your dumb. WTF? I'm blonde and I love science, math and art thank you very much:) And I think your hair is beautiful.

  • @MissHelloKayla know what you mean, worked with a blonde and she was so super smart, they called her dumb because she was a blonde, and talked about her behind her back, and hated her guts, but I understood it all had to do with jealousy. Go figure.

  • Your hair's beautiful. I agree with you that it's really silly when people ask whether your hair's real or not because you're black. Girlfriend, you are proud of your long, black hair because you apparently worked damn hard to achieve that and further you've motivated me to take better care of my hair so that it gets to the point of being long, pretty and more importantly healthy. So thanks :-)

    Regards,

    Trinidadian chic

  • Hi, agree with most of the things you say. If I asked you if your hair is real, would you find that offensive? If you would, can you explain why? Because I don't understand why it is such a taboo for most African American women to be asked such a question. I think it's all based on pride, and I personally think that's a problem. But can you explain your side please?

  • Random people ask me what am I mixed with all the time. They say that before even saying hello. I met this girl before & she asked me that right off the bat. I am mixed, but its still annoying. And I hate when people tell me because my hair is long & straight, I'm tryna look like a white girl. Thats not even the case. I wear my hair straight & curly. Its my hair and i can do what i want with it.

  • Even short healthy hair, some pple don't think it's real. What? Black women can't have healthy hair??!

  • 3:34-3:38 LOL....

  • I remember one time I was at school && I had just gotten my perm && I over heard this girl making a rude comment about my hair " Now she know that's weave " it just shows you how ignorant && jealous people can be ! I was like between SL && APL @ that time . . I'm now almost bra strap length so who knows what people be sayin' now haha

  • Im multiracial.. But by just looking at me, I look black. When ppl find out I'm mixed, they're say ohhhh that's why you got long hair.. Whateverrr. I always felt like my hair could only grow to my shoulders.. But now that I watch your vids.. I started my hair journey && I'm so excited to get it healthy && long. Thanks for your inspiration Meg!! Tell Ash I said Heyy! Lol

  • What pisses me off is when people have the nerve to come up to u and actually pull my hair to see if its real omg i lady did that to me once and it hurt!!!! i wuz like yes it is my real hair u dont have to pull it!! could just ask n i could show you! goshh

  • Hi I had this same problem since i was younger, and unfortunately people are ignorant and dats da world we live in. And I dont even have fine hair its just always been long and thick over the yrs.

  • lol i asked if u were mixxed on a diff vid my bad lol bt ur hair is very fine n mine is not so....yeaaa

  • i have waist length hair. curly n thick. i get hate, and weirdo chicks following me around the stores as i am shopping. it was worse when i was a teen and in my early 20s. i am black first and foremost. my mother is multiracial. representing long hair chicas.

  • I know exactly what your talking about people would think im dominican just cause i have long hair

  • Great Video! When I had a relaxer I have had relatives pat the top of my head to see if I was wearing weave. I have had people say my hair resemble Barbie or a wig. I have had coworkers walk past me and touch and pull on my hair when I would do a wet set. I am natural now and wear my hair in a fro and people still touch my hair. These are Black women and men.

  • You remind me of keisha knight .. I think that's her name anyway..

  • You should do a tutorial on make up

  • Well meg i feel sad that women think it's weave when they see a black women with length or even healthy hair.

When i was in the 5th grade I was the only black girl and my white teacher asked "Is that all your hair" I said yes. And she was like "Wow".High School..some girl yanked my hair on the bus and said "I just wanted to see was it a track" wth.

Keep in mind i never had "long hair" in my eyes and i'm on a journey right now to get YOUR length lol.My hair is past shoulder approaching armpit.

  • omg , i deal with that all the time . im completely african american , yes i can have long hair

  • Your hair is healthy and beautiful:) You are gorgous, keep the videos coming. God bless you!

  • Comment removed

  • @olexia07 i couldnt agree more

  • @ i couldnt agree more and @jilljhonson this vid was for u we can grow hair we just have to be more carful with our hair

  • i have been trying to find a video about a girl who has relaxed hair. I came to this video and I watched the video and completley understood. I'm going into 7th grade and I got my first perm before 5th grade. When I wear my hair down people always ask is that weave but I know that is a common question with african american hair. Also we get the other comment that we are trying to be white and thats why we get a perm. We only get a perm so our hair is more manageable and easier to do everyday.

  • yess! i get this comment all the time! i am a dark skinned african & ppl think my hair is a weave b/c it's really thick and long (about bra strap length)... i def stretch out my realxers & i deep condition my hair when it's out. about 3 months post, i usually get braids. currently i am 7.5 months post my last relaxer. i currently have senegalese twists in. i will get a relaxer at the end of the month & im excited to see how long my hair has gotten. :) i love your vids! u have a new subbie!

  • People ask me that all the time.

  • Very good answer.

  • @ulovemegz hey so i got a perm and my best friend got weave in hair and at school they say i got weave in my hair my hair is 2 the bottom of my neck and on the bus they be like is that fake and i say no and when i get my hair french braided they be like is that weave and i just say i know my hair looks nice

  • have you ever cut your hair? to get it that long, did you go natural (noperm)? do u trim, if so how many times? I once had Long thick hair until my first year of college, then I cut really short(like rihanna short). that was about 4 years ago and now my hair comes to my shoulders. im just in love with your hair (nohomo) lol U have a new Subbie! thanks and stay beautiful :)

  • @nikkinicole901 thank yoou Yes i self trim when needed...no i didnt go natural at anytime

  • @ulovemegz thanks :)

  • I agree with everything you said. I remember being in school and I had side swept bangs and a headband on and just the rest of my hair pulled back and this girl asks me "Is that your real hair?" I just glared at her and said " When I take my headband off my hair comes off to, so no" Very deadpan and then I jokingly said no this is my hair. All my life I've been asked if my hair was real and what's funny is my hair isn't that long. maybe only to my collarbone now. Black women can grow long hair.

  • well arent like almost all black americas kinda mixed and if u were fully african its mostly the eritreans ethiopians and somalis that are black and have beautiful long hair but they r kinda mixed with arabian blood so u c again. so non mixed africans/ african american dont have long hair so stop getting offended.

  • @jilljhonson Most Black Americans have some sort of mixed blood due to slavery, but it's not like being directly mixed and being 50/50. You tell people don't get offended but what you are saying is not only ignorant but it's also offensive. Black women can grow long hair. Look at all those African women in Namibia women with long thick and beautiful hair and they aren't mixed. So stop being ignorant and educate yourself. You end up sounding like a jackass.

  • @olexia07u think i didnt know that its because of slavery most black americans r mixed hahahahaha wow. who cares if its not 50/50 ur still mixed if u have less or more loool. its not offensive its the truth. namibia really haha stop playing ur not telling the truth and if they have those people r mixed anyway most africans dont have long hair u know it i know it, thats why this video had to be made because its not common. u ended up sounding like a jackass not me im not being rude like u.

  • @jilljhonson Uh google Namibia women genius and you can see, unless that it to much for you and you just don't want to believe Black women can have long hair. All the Black women on youtube and a lot being naturals have super long hair maybe you should do some research. This video was made for people like you who don't think Black women can grow long hair. Most Black women do serious damage to their hair which can stunt growth but it;s not impossible to grow long hair. You are being rude,

  • @jilljhonson Very rude and generalizing a whole ethnic group of women. It does matter if you have less or more are you that dumb?. You must be a troll and just saying things to annoy people or a person who can't grow long hair yourself and is jealous and delusional. Do the smart thing and since your on here go look at videos of all these Black women who have long hair, it's not that hard.

  • @jilljhonson Most Africans WOULD have long hair if they 1.) Didn't have schools and parents that make the younger girls shave their heads for class and 2.) Didn't pick up the American trend of applying relaxer to their hair. (Relaxer on naturally kinky, prone-to-dry hair hair in that harsh weather climate would definitely prevent any sort of length retention.) You probably know all of this, but I didn't know if you did when you said "most Africans don't have long hair" comment.

  • I am mixed (barely, barely, barely-like 1/16 of Seminole), but I don't tell people that when they ask the mixed question. I feel like that would justify their ignorance. Clearly, look at my skin and look at my parents. WE ARE A BLACK AND PROUD FAMILY.

  • @jilljhonson look up rustic beauty on youtube she's Nigeran look up with long hair. Now you can stop being ignorant.

  • @naturalnana Thankk you for saying that! Ive been trying to remember Rustic beautys name, foreverrrrr! Lol!

  • @naturalnana whatever who cares anymore! there a very lightskinned arabian looking trybes in nigeria too so :P.. if the girl in the video didnt relax her hair it would look more natural and people wouldnt be surprised. but now it kida does look fake because its relaxed. whatever good for her plus shes very good looking too.

  • @jilljhonson Uh they are black as well light skinned doesn't mean less black and Rutic beauty isn't light skinned and you obviously do care since you're on here. Good looking has nothing to do with race, I see ugly mixed and non black people everyday. UGH YOU'RE IDIOT.

  • @naturalnana werent we talking about hair!? not beauty.... whatever.. we should both stop wasting our time on this... take care.

  • @jilljhonson "shes very good looking too" your comment and stop talking a week ago.

  • I really hate when that happens because I have long hair and other black people always ask if it's my real hair. It gets really frustrating sometimes. It's really weird that people from other races never comment on it or just compliment my hair without ever thinking that my hair must be a weave.

  • i'm mixed and my hair isn't long, it's just a matter of taking care of your hair and i never learnt how to do it so every time my hair grows it breaks off or gets damaged and i'm tempted to cut it cuz i flat iron it a lot

  • I totally agree with you! They touched my hair and i totally back-handed the living crap out of them. Like don't touch my hair. It's real if I say it's real. Not saying I'd lie about not wearing a weave. Weave is just not my thing. Like I am mixed with Indian, but I see a lot of African Americans with good hair. How is that impossible? Like come on. You don't say that when a Caucasian female has long hair and it turns out to be extensions. Like extensions are weave. Stop using different terms!

  • OMG can soooo totally relate to this vid. I am glad somebody has made vid about this. When I had long hair always got questioned is it real, even once somebody literally touched up my hair to check like seriously wtf.. Also got the whole are you mixed race, do have such such in you. It's possible to av long hair, yes I admit thanks to my parents, good hair runs in my family lol. However like you said it's how you look after it etc. xx

  • I get the same thing all the time and its sad for us black ppl to look at a black woman as "mixed" to have long hair or stereotyping that erks me i had a ghetto female just randomly walk up and run her fingers through my hair without even asking me if my hair is real or not it disrespectful and rude but i agree with you 100% and its mixed white Hispanics that wear weave that i know personally and they don't get bother with the question weave are real that's the ignorance of society

  • hey what the name of the lipstick your wearing

  • you go girl :) let the world know that black women do have good hair too.x

  • I really love how you take care of your while being relaxed. You do a very good job. But yes, I do get frustrated with the stereotypes under which we (black women) are labeled. I used to believe that black woman can have hair up to their shoulders and the rest is weave. I also believed that only Caucasian women get to have their hair as long as they want to. However, since I've been taking care of my hair, I've seen that my hair is growing faster, thicker and much more healthier. You go girl!

  • people usually say to me " is that all your hair?" my hair is really thick so i guess it looks like i have in tracks i dont know. I just tell them the trurt and say yes. I have never had some one come up and say " your hair IS fake" now that would cause some trouble lol

  • If you properly take care of your hair it will grow. Yesterday I saw this little girl around 7 and here hair was hip length, and looked extremely healthy, every strand was in place, no fly-aways or anything.

  • yes i hate the looks and stares its not fair that they think black women cant have long hair im not mixed and i get asked that alot my hair was long at my lower back and i cut it pass my shoulders cause it was alot for me to maintain many people never believe my hair is real and i just ignore it but we just like every other woman can grow long beautiful hair and yours is beautiful people can be so ignorant somtimes i love my real hair even tho sometimes its unmanageable and out of control lol

  • Hi Megz i luv your channel. i ahve experiance the same problem when it comes my hair. now my hair is relaxed and its past my shoulders. i also wear wigs and weave just to switch it up when i wont to. now when i wear my hair i all ways have women ask me if thats my real hair or i cant believe you have all that hair underneath the wigs and weaves you wear. i just laugh and explain to them that just because i wear a wig or weave does not mean i dont take care if my hair.

  • Girl check dis out I don't believe u til u part yo hair and show me some more scalp for the simple fact your not proving your point, its not like I care im just sayn tho I am black and I know how weive look from a natural look on down. You didn't pull "your hair" up to prove your point its not like u had to but whats the point of the video???

  • funny thing is ppl ask this question even tho my hair was natural and i now recently got rid of my locks and wore it natural in some small short twist today and someone ask this question and my hair isnt like extremely soft, i think black ppl need to get out of that mind set that every other black woman is wearing a wig or a weave and when u tell them its your hair they look at u like "yea right" lol

  • Your hair is very pretty and long, ur hair length is my ultimate goal but for now it's arm pit length for the next year.....don't let them questions bother you because you kno it's urs

  • @shanelmccall Just because you don't think there is anything wrong with asking if that's her real hair doesn't mean she should feel the same way. So what if there are fewer black women with longer hair? Anyway some things are personal. Ppl shouldn't be asking someone if they have weave or not anyway, that's rude! Be mindful of what you ask ppl, learn some tact! If they're interested in growing their own hair then just do it...you don't have to see someone else with long hair to want your own.

  • hey how long did it take for u to grow ur hair that long and healthy. right now im like a bit below ear length and relaxed but im sportin a wash and go cuz i was bored and needed a new look. my bf wants me to go natural but i love my relaxed hair but i do take care of it but my goal is to get it to my shoulders. what would u suggest cuz i use a combination of ors products and cantu

  • how do I load pics to youtube via android? dont want people to see me speak of my hair and have no evidence LOL

  • @balancebeautyblog another thing I was gonna say is that I have a friend with the kind off butt people are spending money to get and the guys go crazy and I would hate for someone to only want to talk to me because of a certain feature I have i.e...my hair. it is craszy to actually have people to touch my hair without asking or ask cause they dont believe its real

  • @balancebeautyblog I understand what you mean I get the native american question which my family on mom and dads side has but my hairs just grows really fast..

  • I used to get the mixed question a lot. My hair is very fine and curly and I'm brown skinned. It was especially irksome from men that were interested in me - they seemed to be mesmerized my hair. It felt like what they liked most about me was the thing they felt made me least black :(

  • what does get on my nerves is the your fine to be dark skinned comment.

  • @misschynadoll2000 I get "the normally i don't talk to dark skin girls but...." or "you're pretty for a dark skin girl ...". OR ...Africans do not have hair like that, is that yours ? SMH

  • I just subscribed. I get asked on the regular what type of hair I have in. my hair is past back bra strap, I know that we get asked if our hair is real not just because we are african american females I think it also has to do with being brown skin..usually long hair is seen on lighter skinned females where I live.. I dont get offended. I have been to clubs and get the you just hit me in the face with your "weave" comments but what can you do.

  • I love what you said in this video. Definetly can relate to what you've said.x

  • I agree with you COMPLETELY! My hair isnt that long, its might be full-shoulder length, but its really fine and full so people automatically think its not mine. And the mixed comments bother me also because I have recently dyed mu hair black and people just freak out asking if I am half something.

But i love your channel and you are awesome! :)

  • My hair is inches away from APL and i already have people asking me if my hair is real?? my hair is exrteme thick and i don't see how it looks fake?? idk it gets on my nerves tho..Sometimes i just ask people is YOURS fake?? lol i know it's rude, but they could have kept their comments to themselves

  • hahahaha omg "sprouts"...thats so clever/funny!

  • I have the opposite experience, ppl think I'm mixed and that my sew-in's my REAL hair..until I tell them I bought my hair, then they look surprised. I guess my natural hair texture blends well with my weaves, lol!!

  • lol I love this video Girl that just burns me up when Peopel say is your Hair Real YES it is and also I have a Twin Sister and our Birthday is 02/08 lol too funny

  • How did you grow your hair out I'm only 19 and its shoulder length but it wont grow longer I need help!!

  • I'm mixed with black white and indian and my hair has NEVER been nearly as long as yours lol

  • People got some nerve asking you "are you mixed"
