Yeah it was how the DC snipers got the idea for the in the trunk shooter. Some IRA soldiers had outfitted a car to fire a 50 cal sniper rifle through a peephole in the trunk. The Brits eventually found the car with the rifle inside, but never the shooter/spotters.
