today is my parents anniversary, and this was their wedding song! We're sittin around clownin and they said this was their song. I put it on and they got so happy! lol
Breathtakingly beautiful version! I am not sure anything tops this version! I met Larry Graham in 2003? Around that time..... I told him I enjoyed his version of this song. He said, "Thank You, I believe you Do listen to it. I do listen to this song alot!
How did you get the information on the bottom left corner??? Either MTV or VH1 need you to be the producer to play those kind of videos on Youtube! I really enjoyed that video!
This one was arguably the best R&B song of 1980, an it's certainly one of the finest remakes of an R&B song too. Larry's vocal skills always took a back seat to his bass playing ability, but his singing is just as strong in my opinion, an 80's R&B classic, from a fantastic musician/singer, without question...
Larry Graham is without a doubt one of our radio era's best vocalists. From his vocal work with Graham Central Station (google that group) to his smooth solo work years after that, Graham performs at a level far beyond most of his time. His vocals remain some of the classiest, soulful and professionally delivered sounds of the 70's and 80s. Well and since they "ain't" doing anything orginal today, let's say some of the best of the 90's and today too. There's nothing orginal on Hip Hop FM today.
im young but even i know this is the kind of music we need today. i luv it ,my mom said when she get married this and one in a million by larry graham will be heard at her wedding
OMG!!!! Thank you so much!!!! I loved this song for so long and have looked for it forever. Thank you so much!!! I love Larry Graham and am always wanting to see him live and wish he'd sing this. Gosh, I can't believe I finally found this. You rock for putting this on here!!!
@daphnerh1984 I saw him do this song live in 1980....if you think it sounds good recorded...he rocked it 10 times better live...he is a true entertainer...one of the best!
@daphnerh1984 I saw him perform this live in 1980 in Pittsburgh....it was a literal showstopper...the crowd went crazy!!!!!! The record doesn't do it justice! He is a real showman and entertainer....I can see that concert in my mind just like it was yesterday! Awesome song!!!
I was about 7 or 8 years old when I first heard this song my cousin got married on it. I feel in love with it I said when I ever get married this will be my first dance for my new husband and myself.
Wow, I didn't know this song was originally done by the Dreamlovers back in 61 and then covered by the Intruders..

Thanks Slayd5K- Glad you added this version. Larry is a bad man. How many artists can stand out as a funkster and a crooner at the same time?
