@RedMorningDawn what where? THERE HERE!? Contact the asga...uh wait they killed them selves....dam. Wait contact the rebel asgard in the pegasus galax....wait, dam we killed them...hmm wait give them JUSTIN BEIBER!!!!!!!!
On the whole "Ida/Milky Way Replicators wiped out in Season 8" thing, I've always kind of held a pet theory that in her ifnal moments, Replicator-Carter used the Ancient knowledge that she'd taken from Daniel Jackson to ascend herself, rather than being destroyed.
@Tesparg In Ghost in the Machine in Season 5 of SGA, I don't know why the last replicators didn't accept the nanite built human bodies and transfer their consciousness, because isn't that what would have made them capable of ascension?
Instead they couldn't be trusted and Weir sent herself and the other replicators to a space gate where they were frozen in the vacuum of space. I never quite understood why the replicators never considered that argument.
@Smallface8 it was because of that one replicator, who i think believed that he could do it; that replicators didn't need to trust in the humans or change themselves to ascend. cuz then it won't be replicators ascending anymore, it won't be the same. i think that guy had some stubborn pride in his own failed invention, he wanted to try again. so weir realized none of them could be trusted, and blew them into space.
@Tesparg just because Pegasus replicators group failed doesn't mean they can't at all - don't forget they tried to accelerate proces by technological means rather than "normal" yes it was a failure - but quite frankly they still somewhat succeded - they obviously were transformed + they rushed it to much - they went all at once - who knows - if they refined the process Also idea of taking human bodies and download to them and then try to ascend might have worked if they had a shot at it.
@Tesparg yeah but when the aincients ascended they learned all there is to know and possibly a way for replicators to ascened. they probobly wernt clever enough to do it on the mortal plane
@CAMBProductions2011 there was a way the raplicators just need to build themselfs human(antiker) bodys and then ascened but their leader never let them and some dont wanted to risk it and it would have been stupid if they could in the series
@CAMBProductions2011 there was a way the raplicators just need to build themselfs human(antiker) bodys and then ascened but their leader never let them and some dont wanted to risk it and it would have been stupid if they could in the series
@TheShadowCow The Replicators aren't 'wiped out', don't forget there were Replicators in that unknown galaxy SG-1 and Apophis' ships got sent to when Carter "blew up a sun". =D
@HisDivineShadow245 but the actor was awesome, so i was kinda happy there were more of him :D ...but wasn't Ba'al in Adria supposed to be the last Ba'al? where'd the continuum guy come from?
@RedMorningDawn Like SG-1 said, "Where there's one clone, there may be more."
I was thinking that the original Ba'al would take Adria as a host, too, but think about it. Ba'al knew that kidnapping Adria right from under SG-1's nose would force them to act and find him. He also, being a Goa'uld, wanted to gloat to their face. BUT in the unlikley case they managed to kill him, or Adria would be able to resist him, he used a clone instead.
@haribohnen I like both Apophis and the replicators, but in my opinion the best villain in Stargate has to be Ba'al. That guy has a way of looking cool and smug even when he gets his ass kicked LOL.
@Tesparg lol you just can't get rid of the replicators. They're in SG-1 and also Atlantis. I wouldn't be surprised if some version of the replicators shows up in Stargate Universe. Since the technology on Destiny is pretty close to that of the Gould including the shields and weapons, the crew is going to have a hard time defeating the replicators.
@Tesparg I agree Ba'al is so arrogant that people like him. His attitude is just pure awesome. The actors delivery of that character is also First class!!
@Tesparg To be honest I found Ba'al a lot better before he started getting his ass kicked a lot and all the clones were around. I always have a soft spot for Sokar, I wish they would have made him a bigger enemy and kept him around a lot longer because for someone who was about to take down the System Lords he went out with a bit of a whimper.
Replicators were far better enemies then Gou'uld...because Replicators weren't exactly evil, they just followed their programing...great work on the theme
@DeadScarab Ori. With EASE because they have the same knowledge as the ancients ;)
Besides: The Ori don't have a problem with directly interacting with the lower planes. Something the Ancients would never do. A mere thought would wipe these Killer-LEGOS from existence.
@DeadScarab You asked for ORI vs REPS. Not for "Ori-Mininions" vs REPS ;) Of course. The Priors neither have the technical understanding nor the tactical skill to do battle with an equal enemy. All they can do is preach and use way waaaay superior technology to blast their way through if theology fails ;)
@Granyala dont worry, i know, i know, but what if somehow they did, something similar 2 the time they well...i dont remember exactly what it was called but the surviving replicators became energy and found theyr way 2 atlantis and rebuilt...
maby theyr assentsion is somthing similar? if they somehow manage 2 assend
@Granyala ....yea lol i know but IF they manage 2 assend i meant theyr form would look somthn like that(ancients strings of white light or ori ...flames)
just as a repeat, If they manage 2 assend, in replicator made biological bodies or not...
@Aelkamal now THAT would be something to see ...and play...hopefully someone will do it...

@TheShadowCow Except it was established in Stargate Atlantis that it's impossible for replicators to ascend, even with ancient knowledge.

@Tesparg Asuran replicators couldn't ascend because they had an anger protocol encoded into the physique.

@limeburst1
They couldnt ascend because they were machines:
SG1, Season 8, Episode 17: Reckoning: Part 2
...and agression directives was deleted by dr Mckay - didnt help them much - did it ?
