  • This is truly beautiful, awe-inspiring.....

  • She doesn't know "Don't cry my Argentina". Her improvisation was anything but that. LOL. It's like someone asked her to talk about Eva Peron and she talks about Jackie Kennedy. This is surprising as she comes from South America.

  • @freeqwerqwer Well, she didn't improvise over the Life of Evita... but over the score written by Lloyd Webber (Who isn't south american, go figure), so your comment is so off topic it's surprising.

  • @freeqwerqwer If you knew a little bit of armonie, you would know that the relationship is quite strong, even though to a non cultivated ear sounds not very similar. Indeed, listen to the famous XVII variation of Rajmaninov's on a Paganini's theme, and even though initially seem apart, you can realize that it is the same melody but inverted. Here it is much easier to notice the link; it is just a question of having musical ear... but I guess that no one can blame you for that.

  • @cives what a douchey comment

  • Impressionante!!!

  • Don't cry for me Argentina

  • Gabriela, I ran into music, I ran into your Piano, I ran into your notes, I ran into you and there I was waiting to hear more from your soul, my dear Caraqueña...... Your music delights thousands of people, it has no frontiers as your soul.......What has been called improvisation has been nothing else than pure INSPIRATION the same kind that has me writing this text while I hear your beatiful music. God Bless You. Que Dios te bendiga.

  • Elle pourrait improviser sur le botin!!!

  • to luiscar89 THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HAVING SHARED SO GREAT VIDEOS OF THIS UNIQUE ARTIST. She fully deserves the nickname of "Divina del Piano". I really hope she will eventually be as well-known as she deserves !

  • This is an incredible women. She is so amazing

  • I'm gonna see her in Chicago on Feb 4th!!!!! So excited!

  • @evilbunnyrabbits How was it?

  • @vivvpprof She was perfect! The audience was not however. The upper level of the theater was filled with college students who were really loud and obnoxious. They had no business being there. One even yelled "speak English!" when she was addressing a Venezuelan audience member who was suggesting she improve on a Venezuelan theme. She didn't hear them thank God, but I was horrified. Despite that, it was a great evening.

  • @evilbunnyrabbits Improvise not improve. Although both work :)

  • Siempre fantAstica y genial

  • Por eso se llama improvisacion...

  • I am in total agreement. Gabrila is truly "La Divina". Truly amazing. She is performing in La Jolla next week. I will not let her performance pass me by. Our lives are all the richer for hearing this musical miracle.

  • she is a blessed artist and great human being. I am so thankful to live in the Montero-Argerich era...

  • Musicians like this come only a few times per century. She is among the finest improvisational artists of her generation. Her inventions move one's soul the same as Bach or Beethoven or Chopin or Rachmaninoff. It delights the intellect to know they are gifts of a moment in time. Heaven only knows what might come forth should she decide to set her ideas down as compositions. I for one would gladly play them!

  • @kitb53 you are absolutely right. Her talente is just incredible....I hope that many other pianists from the "classical" culture will follow her example, to revive improvisation, which has been lost in the past century while it would make classical music much more lively....even though very few can hope to reach such a level !

  • She's inspiring... she's traveled the world and lives her dream... I wish I could do something like that someday.
