Charice is one of the greatest singers in this generation. Whitney was in her generation. Even David Foster compares her to that of Whitney and Celine. Charice is famous for her voice. Anyways, I still like WHITNEY's version more. It was made for her and although I love Charice the most...she is still a great singer in other songs and make the originals like Miley better lol. They have equal in power but Charice seems slightly more range (in this video anyway)...the motivation level for Charice is much more intense, meaning, she is literally singing her heart out not knowing if and when she will get her big break...both are great singers, I enjoyed Charice's performance more though; I connect with her.

Charice is one of the greatest singers in this generation. Whitney was in her generation. Even David Foster compares her to that of Whitney and Celine. Charice is famous for her voice. Anyways, I still like WHITNEY's version more. It was made for her and although I love Charice the most...she is still a great singer in other songs and make the originals like Miley better lol. Also, Whitney wasn't the original it was Dolly Parton, but Whitney sang it better. Either way both entertain well.

They have equal in power but Charice seems slightly more range (in this video anyway)...the motivation level for Charice is much more intense, meaning, she is literally singing her heart out not knowing if and when she will get her big break...both are great singers, I enjoyed Charice's performance more though; I connect with her.

@gosty111 Power and volume are two different things. You can achieve higher volume by tuning up better equipment, among other things; whereas, power comes naturally from the voice of the singer. But still, I must agree that Whitney had a more powerful voice.

to foreigners, you can go ahead watch sarah if you're curious as to why she's more popular in the phils. but you'll find out soon enough and make your own deduction as to why. and believe you me, it's not talent that she trumps charice on although she's quite good too. let's just say a good voice, a blockbuster cutesy movie and a regular spot in the almost only local station is a powerful combination. and she's charismatic too. looks like our own miley cyrus of philippines!!

regine was arguably the best philippines can come up with for a decade until charice and some more newcomers came along and then we realized she was just an overrated screamer. she's good with local songs though. of course whitney trumps ANYONE. but charice was the closest we've ever got to a whitney and that is an achievement in itself. plus charice will have more to show us as she has her own style diff from whitney and is just beginning. lets wait til she gets mainstream.

To Charice Fans : One Chaster made a very good suggestion on how to deal with Charice's critics. One way is to not reply to their postings. Once they see that their post was read and reacted to. They enjoy the back and forth replies and there are times it becomes "nasty" later. If they dont see replies then they leave outright. Replies will just extend their stay. Criticism is okay as long as it is not rude or vulgar. But I've seen so many got out of hand.

Well, whitney used to be the goddes of singing.......sadly, she is not anymore......and like any other fairy tale, the crown must pass unto another worthy princess.......Charice could be whitney's successor........it's very clear in this video.....they have the same range, the same powerful voice but different style.......Whitney wouldn't mind that......

Anwy, if you guys want "fingerprint" in Charice's album, order it through QVC. Only in QVC will you get 4 additional tracks....
