The band was called Wildlife. The guitarist for Wildlife, Steve Overland, also recorded " Shot in the Dark" on his solo cd.

Phil Soussan wrote " Shot in the Dark " and recorded it in a band before joining Ozzy's band during the Ultimate Sin sessions. He brought it to Ozzy who enjoyed a hit with it. They've fought over the royalties of that song ever since.

I remember when Quiet Riot came to our small hometown in the 90's. I was up front getting crushed by the crowd. It was a painful experience! This guy next to me said, "move and let my girlfriend upfront." But I held my ground, being 5'1". At the end of the show, Carlos Cavazzo was throwing out a few guitar picks and tossed one at me. Unfortunately the guy grabbed it before I could. Carlos was pissed and took my hand and put a guitar pick in it.

guess it's all a matter of personal preference. I personally cant see how anyone would prefer Ozzy over Dio; Then again, I didnt begin to like sabbath til they got Dio. Im obviously more of a Dio fan than an Ozzy fan. But on the other hand, I do like Ozzy's first 2 solo LPs. I owe that more to RR than anything else tho.

Carlos ROCKS! Seems to me that he's such an underrated guitarist. I saw him live with Quiet Riot back in '99 when they were playing small clubs and Carlos (as the whole band) kicked ass!
