My first wig is on a wig cap which is a stretchy difficult material. I got a chance to practice on monofilament lace material which is honeycomb shaped.

I have actually worked with lace a little when I worked on a gig at the opera house. I got the chance to meet a professional wig maker. I need to blog but I am currently in cosmetology school. I am tryng to muster up the energy to record and edit:(

it can be a long process:) You make tiny knots to a wig cap or whatever materials you choose to use.

oh ok you can find lace fabric waay cheaper at a fabric store, just use nylon lace oh and watch jamesgirl37 's vids

so you used a regular wig cap from the store to ventilate the hair?? this is what i was going to do... does it take more time?

I have not actually used lace yet. I still need to shop around for suppliers. Wig caps are going to take longer to ventilate because the material is more resistant.  You are also going to have holes and make lil snags on the way. I have been lazy so I did not log my time while working on the wig. I have too many projects going on:)
