Disculpe, podria hacer eso yo tambien en mi casa para una maqueta¿=?... Como podria hacerlo¿=? seria muy util si hay forma de hacerlo con materiales faciles de conseguir y si los pistones podria hacerlos yo mismo... gracias....
OK. I took sometime thought it over again. Your engine should belong to a separate class, not Alpha, Beta, Garma, but much closer to Alpha. I think you just solved the biggest problem of alpha stirling engines - sealing the piston on the hot cylinder. The sealing issue has been haunting the development of Alpha stirlings for a very long time and that is probably why we don't see that many Alphas out there. Job well done.
@Aviator168 An alpha engine is as a beta engine but the displacer piston is too a power piston.Ith is not necesary be at 180º, because it can be fixed in the cranks.
@profesorjuano What makes a stirling alpha is that there is NO displacer in the engine itself. The 'piston' in your hot cylinder is acting as displacer, not a power piston. Also, an alpha engine has the linkage on the top of the cylinders.
Ahora lo entendí,gracias.El pistón caliente corre contra la camisa sólo en el principio del recorrido y,dentro de la cámara desplaza el aire caliente hacia la comunicación entre pistones.Clarísimo con el dibujo a mano.
(An alpha engine have two cylinders and both with power pistons as mine,but if you make it at 90º or paralell will be an alpha.One of power pistonsin my engine is a dsplacer too. ) ..................... Thanks Prof. but you cannot have it both ways. Alpha's do not have displacers. A displacer is not a power piston. As you say your engine has a displacer and I see it in the video, it is of the GAMMA configuration.
@csizmarikg Hello I´ve thinking to reduce linkage but the first the pistons are too large and it is possible appears lateral forces and more friction and the second the displacer have a square shape but the test tube is circular,so for reduce dead espace I must fill it with something as aluminium or a bit of steel wool,perhaps works well as regenerator.

Excuse me Sir, gamma engine have two cylinders one with a displacer piston and the other with a power piston, if you make it paralell or at 90º it will be al gamma.
How much torque?

Lol for cam lag making it look slow XD

amazing.
emagine how much speed it would have uf u where able to use small bearings for them.
(though i dont know if they make them this small and bearings are relativly heavy...)

Profesor: Excelente motor stirling, de los que he visto en la web el mas rapido. me inspira para hacerme uno. saludos de colombia.

I don't see how this could be alpha.

If you added a water jacket to the cold side, would that just speed it up, or would it increase the torque?

Profe,por dónde sale el aire del pistón caliente?Tiene fugas "exprofeso" dicho pistón ?No lo veo claro en el video.çGracias

Well done! Congratulations!
Just one note, if You don't mind: Is it possible to shorten the linkage between the two cylinders? It may reduce the dead space.

@profesorjuano
Yes, the regenerator in the connecting tube seems to be a good idea.
Again, congratulation

..........You have a "GAMMA" type Stirling engine here.

@Longboy4
Dear Longboy4!
Dont miss the 90° PHASE angle with the GEOMETRICAL angle.
Of cousre an alpha type motor is alpha because of the TWO power cylinder.
Sincerely
