This set is being all mangled up, its missing movements and other are out of sequence, I don't know why he is showing the set this way, I know he knows the original way to do the set as traditionally practiced.

Maybe not for us "guai lo" to see, right?

@salcanzonieri I think since Shi De Yang is the head librarian at Shaolin, he would know the absolute original form. I think since he is wearing traditional garb and doing a traditional form, he is going with the unadulterated one right off the scroll. I'm sure the version you know has been changed many times through the centuries

Umm, no, he teaches sets different in private classes versus public classes and also different in his videos. That's a fact.

He's head librarian in honorarium, he's most here in the USA all the time.

This is not the set as it is taught in all the other traditional lines, this video is missing moves and has some moves turned around.

FOR a reason, to see who learned from the video and who learned from a teacher, as the monks will readily admit.

its not beautiful in this video, its missing a some important postures, count them, there's not 18 there at all. I learned this set 25 years ago, everyone else that does it also does it with the full amount of postures, this is abbreviated for the public, simple.

You are very naive if you think he is going to show how to do forms exactly correct via public videos.

They aren't meant to replace teachers.

And its a fact that he teaches forms different depending on when and where he taught them.

In fact, many teachers do this.

I never said he would show the proper sequence , you assume too much. However I do think that regardless of sequences the techniques are there, and he executes them correctly. Anyways, im not gonna argue with yet another YouTube Grandmaster.
