My parents and I were born and brought up in Malaysia. My mum always insisted that I went for Tamil tuition and took the government exams when I was in school. Sulking and after arguments on a weekly basis I learnt to read and write basics and went through it just because I had to. I am now prepping to become an English teacher in the UK. But the more I prepare myself, the more I feel the need and importance to know my mother tongue better. The timing I discovered this video couldn't be better.

@chandaronline from what i know shruthi haasan's tamil is good especially when you consider how other ppl in film business have brought up their kids. And i bet his second daughter could speak tamil too. We should stop criticizing and questioning ppl's genuine feelings.
