And I know that not every car has been around The Ring, I don't even consider it the best test of a car. It's just, this car basically the American Veyron, which is also terrible.

The Gen 2 will likely be a lot faster. The handling of the Gen 1 car is better than 95% of supercars. Better than Enzo, MC12, Veryron SS, Koenigsegg CCX, Pagani Zonda F. Combine that with better acceleration then all of them. Likely around the Nurburgring it will beat all of them. Probably not the Gumpert Apollo though as it is a very well handling car.

@TheOfficialKC I disagree, but respectfully. You actually backed up your argument with facts and well based opinions. I highly doubt the handling is better than the Enzo or Zonda, but we'll see.  But you have to take into account that you have to decide between top speed and handling when building a car. They're on opposite sides of the spectrum, so if this new SSC is faster than the other one, the handling would be almost impossible to improve to a competitive level.

@PunkFictionProdction On the skidpad the Aero pulls 1.05g. The Enzo 1.01g. The Veyron 0.93g. When tested through the slalom the Aero did 73.1mph. The Enzo did 73.0mph. The slalom suits narrow cars. The narrower the less turning back and forth you have to do to get through. The Aero is wider and thus it is harder to do a slalom for it yet it was faster. Which means it was pulling more g's through it. So on a wider track it will handle better.

@jtuning6 - It is the one-off Bertone Mantide with chassis and running gear from the current Corvette ZR1. The same designer, Jason Castriotta, was responsible for the project while working at Bertone.
