  • She plays some of the more difficult parts extremely quickly, which is quite impressive, but I don't think was the intent of Chopin. I'm not a big fan of that aspect of her interpretation. Still one of the best pianist of all time though.

  • AS A PIANIST WHO IS CURRENTLY WORKING ON THIS PIECE WHO HAS JUST HEARD HOW MS. ARGERICH PLAYS IT, ALL I CAN SAY IS --- MAYBE I'LL GO INTO PLUMBING!

  • Me encanta la forma de interpretar de Marta. Mis respetos como musico a una colega del arte

  • I feel like I just got slapped in the face by Chopin.

    And I loved it.

  • Argerich is the bomb.

  • @forgottenbooks I do agree.

  • Words fail me. Awesome!

  • Martha IS the best.

  • dramatic

  • breathtaking...

  • Scherzo means "playful". I love how she captures the playfullness in this piece.

  • This is as good as Ashkenazy's version.

  • I wonder what females N O W are as interesting in their 20's and 30's as she was. QueenEliz winner anna ...is someone to watch out for.Fliter is genuinely unique. Are there any as surprising as spontaneous as Martha? Lots of big techniques without big personalities? Yuga Wang needs a tonal palette it seems.Montero might bring more listeners to classical world-so needed!

  • this bitch can play :)

  • @gassyjeff

Even as a joke i have to say that sounds crass and misogynistic. Oh well, i'm sure you meant no harm, but still.

  • this version is impeccable.. i love the power of those monster chords and the delicacy of those arpeggios just wow

  • it´s just the best performance of this scherzo I´ve ever heard

  • I totally agree. Martha is awesome in this piece, she is a hard act to follow.

  • @cadinho36 totally agree,but I can't forget A.Benedetti Michelangeli's version also.

  • she is so beautiful =]

  • Remarquable de virtuosité et quel "touché" de sensibilités..

    Fabuleux !!!

    Al

  • the transition passage from 5:45 ~ 5:56 is unbelievably fast (the fastest i heard).

  • Where did you get this piece from? I mean did you get it from a CD because this sounds so beautiful when Martha Argerich plays it. I like her version of this piece! Thank you so much!!!!!!

  • what year is this from?

  • ofcourse she is the best and the nly one...........

  • holy shit this womans playing is so rough edged and strong and hard, and stil i think shes the best

  • "op. 31" by Chopin? If so, you might well like to write it in the box and in the title ;-)

    Nice video though.

  • Okay! Thanks for your comment. :)

  • you're welcome :)

  • Probably the first time this piece sounded like a scherzo to me...Bravo!

  • i think shes beautiful..

  • the transition part on 5:45~5:55 is unbelievablt fast, particularly the LH octaves
