the best way to use this is to grow your own. if you live in the north like  I do, grow outside in warm weather and bring it indoors for the winter.it does well in a sunny window. if you cut section of a large leaf it will seal off the remaining piece with a latex type substance,so it's easy to use later. this is a plant everyone should use

@dalmatinny thanks 4 asking every1 to check Aloe Vera's side effect. So far I haven't got any complain of side effects from my customers & collegues who r drinking aloe vera 4 many many years.

For the beginner...it may casue lose motion for the first 1-2 days as it detox the body. So it's expected. I found another guy who has Diabetes got minor itching after drinking aloe vera--but it stopped after a while.

@RightNetworker Drinking it on an empty stomach can cause a slightly unpleasant tightness. I don't really know any other way to describe the feeling. It's not a big deal and passes after a while. That said, simply eating something before hand tends to avoid this entirely. I personally drink it for the powerful anti-histamine effects. It's also better for occasional (or any type for that matter) heartburn than any drug on the market. Also, whole leaf/skin=laxative.

I drink it for my acne, it dries my skin and prevents acne, also helps blemishes. I drink a concentrated form from Whole Foods, I use to blend it up and drink it with water but its to bitter (So is the Juice version, but not as much). 99.7% Aloe is in the drink apparently if you buy it from a store. Its healthy and good for your skin.
