  • Al Gore recieved his Gift on " This Earth.' Irena Sendler will be Granted her Gift from The Creator of Heaven and Earth !

  • Must every place this woman is mentioned really be tainted by discussion of the Nobel Prize? Can't we just appreciate this woman for the amazing effort she made to save defenseless and ignore that the Nobel Peace Prize may be more focused on recent/current events?

As she said herself, “Every child saved with my help is the justification of my existence on this Earth, and not a title to glory". She was not concerned with any prize and neither should we.

God bless her for what she did and RIP.

  • she was a social worker per documentary I am watching now. Looked her up on internet. She posed as a nurse. She and her co-workers makes me proud to be polish. (my paternal grandparents were from Poland) opposed to stupid as the polish jokes we say. She and her fellow workers deserve a nobel peace prize.

  • @416mcp

They have a better prize frankly - the admiration of all people of good will and (if you are a believer) - God's approval. She, Karski, Bartoszewski, Pilecki and others represent a powerful example of the kind of moral excellence that Poland could and did produce.

  • Irena Sendler a true interfaith angel of peace RIP. The Nobel prizes created by a arms manfacturer who invented dynamite& gellignite. After seeing his obituary by a journalist who mistakenly thought him dead Nobel left his fortune for the prize.

A better legacy would have been for him to turn his companies into cooperatives for peace. Cooperatives empower the UN constitution, but like magna carta the UN constution needs clarifying for democracy to stop manipulative tyrants& oligarchs.

  • god bless you.

  • This is what been a christian is all about, loving and caring for the less privilage.

  • Angel!

  • ANGEL!

  • A nobel prize means nothing these days. Obama the record sealing illegal president got one for what? Al Gore talking about global warming got one for what? God bless the people of the world who stand up for what is good in the face of evil. Irena Sendler was a saint.

  • @stupidtex I agree! Saint of Social Workers :)

  • Lately someone wrote something on her grave. It was "jude raus". I just cried so much, this is so horrible... how someone could do something like this.

  • @greeenmind12 but it was with a mistake, so you can see what kind of man could it be...

  • Irena Sendler proves the power of "one person". Yes, YOU can make a difference...

  • @randy95023 Irena Sendler was head of children's section of Polsih underground organisation Council to Aid Jews Żegota. She don`t act alone but cooperated with many persons from Polish resistance. For example Sendler cooperated very closely with social worker and catholic nun, mother provincial of Franciscan Sisters of the Family of Mary - Matylda Getter- she rescued between 250-550 Jewish children in different education and care facilities for children.

  • God blesses those who help His people...

  • Wow!!! Her life story is very inspiring!

  • wow es un angle !!! un verdadero angel !!! Descance en Paz !!!

  • another saint.

  • Poles were put their life into risk to save them and thansksgiving them today now we are the worst antsemites of the world.

  • One of the greatest heros of WWII. So inspiring it's overwhelming. So beautiful she could melt my heart.

  • Check out the song called Irena by a band called sixteen dead men. it's amazing. they are on myspace.

  • Magic

    Angel...

  • I wonder if in 50 years time we will learn about Palestinian ''Irena Sendlerowa'' that saved thousand of Palestinian children during Israel occupation. How dare you Israel, how dare you? If Irena only knew...shame on you Israel, SHAME ON YOU!!!!

  • @zentrallondon Before you make a comment you should get yours information not from Hamas but from non muslim righteous ppl, the hamas is the one who is sending Palestinian children to they death by training them to be jihad( suicide) soldiers, the Haas cowards fighters put the Palestinian children in front of them knowing that the Israeli soldiers would not shut children you stupid imbecile! what I'm saying it's well documented and admitted by Hamas.Get a life !

  • @mirawayne information from Hamas? How Hamas word can be spread in a jewish controled media? Anyway, jews create the wall, jews treat palestinian like animals(see soldiers admitting that) see jewish soldier shooting to harmless protesters, see jewish army killing 9 peace activist, open your eyes and stop the propaganda, poor polish people, saving jews during ww2 so later they become modern zionist-nazi.

  • @zentrallondon You should be more concerned with muslims killing each other and others in Syria, Egypt, Sudan, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Iraq,Afghanistan etc etc etc, in fact wherever muslims are there's carnage.

  • If God Does Exist, irena won't have to worry, beacuse she has won a place in heaven.

D.E.P Irena Sendler, we won't forget you.

  • ..."Henryk Sławik helped as many as 30,000 Polish refugees in Hungary, approximately 5,000 of them Jews"...

  • She saved a lot more Jews than Shindler, but Speilberg will never make a movie about a devout Catholic.

  • only saving jews is worh an award?

  • @SunsetSix - well, this is how politics works :/ but, never mind, a good man is still a good man! But, chatolic should organise better. I think The Church still doesn't know the power of media! peace

  • @SunsetSix what a shame to leave a comment on the video of a woman who didn't share your prejudices. If you have a problem with Spielberg's movies pick up a camera and make your own.

  • @Devorah217 : Hey, don't criticise the poster(sunsetsix).....this poster raised a very good point with which I agree !!!

  • give her the nobel price , not Obama !

  • My Hero

  • Wow, check out the video response from Camelot Records for this video. It is some song called "Sleeping With the Angels", it is so beautiful music and tribute to Irena.

  • jews to the gas...Freedom for Palestine!

  • God Bless her Soul

  • Irena Sendler, pray for us!

  • RIP Irena, your reward is now with God.

  • This world is very strange - though she had saved 2,5 thousand human lives

and had put her life in danger she did not deserve the Nobel Prize while

such a man as Barack Obama, just for his Presidency and empty promises, was

granted the Nobel Prize. Thus, this Prize is worth as much as those empty

    promises, namely ZERO.

  • Her prize is not in this world, but she has many riches in the afterlife now. RIPeace Irena and thank you God for showing us her story as a moral compass and model for human behavior.

  • "Prize is worth as much as those empty

promises" - exactly, by such decissions it`s this prize what`s loosing prestige, not the candidates.

  • @pakamilus What a nonsence reaction!!! The uncle of my wife saved about 1000 jewish children. He received the Jad Vashem for this.He is still alive and he also deserved a Nobel Prize but he think this is nonsence! "The Nobelprice is for important people like Obama and I did my duty as a human being. If everyone did this WWII would not have lasted 5 years!", was his reaction....

  • @pakamilus - Sendler fuer candidata al premio Nobel en 2007 - y el premio se lo llevo Al Gore, no Barack Obama! Mas informacion en Google!

  • @dearmalika You are right when you say it was Al Gore at that time who won the prize, but the person above was referring to the fact that even Obama was a Peace Nobel Prize, an outrage in my opinion because he, Obama, did nothing to win not even a burger from Mc Donald's much less a Peace prize, it's a joke, I agree with you when you say she lost to Al Gore and I agree with him when he mentions the empty promises Obama makes

  • @pakamilus Why You keep Your heart with hate and resentment? If Irene Sendler was here would say to You " I came into this world to bring peace, not to win nobel prize".

  • Irena was someone that thought of others dying and couldn't live with herself knowing what would happen to the children she saved. How brave, unselifish and truly good this woman was. Many claim to be Christian and serve God. They read their bibles, attend church, have religious icons in their homes to show they are children of God.

I cannot count the times I've seen people like this fail when it comes to true tests of faith. Greed, power, lust and vanity are most of the reasons for the lies.

  • I took your suggestion and looked up Martin Luther, it has been so long since I read about him I had forgotten a lot. What I did learn though is that you should read the same. It's obvious by saying "He left & He sought the easier way" you know only what you were told. He didn't leave, he was excommunicated with a death sentence and "anyone was allowed to kill him without recrimination". And that's from the mouth of a beloved pope. Hardly an easier way. you're a case of the blind leading blind.

  • All people make mistakes, even the pope.. the important thing is that you realize that you made a mistake and that you always try to improve yourself for God.

  • One thing he was right about though, Christians were Semites, for they came from converted Jews, who following Jesus, a circumcised, practicing, Jewish Rabbi. So my last word on the matter is, I revere the woman for who and what she was, a highly empathetic person full of love for helpless children and an insatiable desire to rescue them at any cost to herself. No priest or nun put that in her, THAT IS THE WAY SHE WAS. Do Widzenia

  • well...Herr hitler killed millions of jews and people. I doubt he did that because it was the WAY HE WAS. it was his experience and the circumstances and what he chose to put into his head that made him what he was. he was not a born murderer. Nor was this woman a born saint. It is what we choose that makes us who we are. Our dear Irena here chose to listen to Catholic teaching and she chose to follow her Catholic upbringing She chosed to love and That is what made her do the things she did!!!

  • *she chose to see G'd in every one of the people regardless of creed, race and belief just like mother teresa! This is what my Catholic faith has taught me. My Catholic faith was built upon the toils and works of people like this! all the saints were just like Irena! Stop closing your mind friend. The Catholic religion is not false :) it is in fact the one that makes most sense! it is the people that gets it confused. Look at the depth of the well not at the wall surrounding the well.

  • Irena Sendlerowa was a hero who happened to be a catholic. I think she cared more for humanity than Catholicism. The winner of the Nobel prize, Global Warming, was a strange winner, for it will take another 150yrs to prove it's existence and causation by man, for at the moment it is only a natural trend. Google it and see for yourselves.

Irena, an amazing woman who gave her life and would have died but for the actions of others doing the same thing as she. How could you not love her.

  • she cared for humanity because she was a practicing Catholic. :)

  • Some of the worst Christians I've ever met, were practicing Catholics. Some of the best were protestants. I am quite sure that even if Sendlerowa was an Eskimo she would still have done what she did. Catholicism was not teaching love and caring to Jews in those days, they still hated them as the killers of Christ. She had a remarkable quality of love, compassion and mostly empathy, towards those in great need. In her day, there'd have been many Catholics who'd have vilified her for what she did

  • erm.... can you do me a favour? go read up on martin lurther and see how much he hated jews? thank you. You cannot judge the entire religion based on past events or the people you have so unluckily met. I can judge your character by the way you write and in my mind i already have a very negative picture of you but it is not fair for me to do so. Catholicism teaches love at the very core and in every part of the world you will find catholics doing works of charity...

  • i am not sure what she would have done if she was an eskimo because that was not the case but i am very sure she did what she did because of her Catholicness and her polishness. It is downright wrong to say that Catholicism was not kind to jews, Many catholics died saving jews not just this woman. Youer arguments are so one sided i suggest you go read up. The only thing the catholic church did at that time was keep silent and yes there were many catholics who werent doing nice things

  • but i can say the same things for protestants too, I also like to point out a fact that a lot of people especially the jews in their arguments on the silence of the church and many catholic haters like to forget, Pope Pius the 12ths predecessor Pius the 11th made so many statements against the NAZIs but nobody listened..and when pius the 11ths successor Pius the 12th kept silent everyone pounced on him. MY CHURCH FEEDS THE HUNGRY CLOTHES THE POOR AND COMFORTS THE AFFLICTED

  • and so does every true Catholic.

  • Your assumption of Sendlerowa's Catholicism being the driving force behind her heroics, takes away from her the beauty of what she did. And I judge your efforts a disgrace, for what you say, in effect, is that we have the Catholic church to thank for her efforts because they taught her what to do. Don't belittle the memory of the woman, she was greater than the church was or could ever be.

  • my assumption? i'm sorry.. Irena Sendlerowa is just another great Catholic person who did great things because she loved her people. and as i mentioned earlier she has understood the very core message of Catholicism, LOVE. It does not ever undermine what she did but makes it greater. Her love for God in other people has made who do great things. And yes she understood this through Her very deep Catholic upbringing and morals just like jp2, mother teresa, and other great Catholics!

  • Strange that you should use one of the most hated (by you), Protestants, Martin Luther, The First Protestant, as some kind of support for your argument. Do you realise that he should be your greatest hero? Without him, assuming you were privileged enough to read the Bible, you would be doing it in Latin. He was the greatest reformer for Christianity that ever lived, allowing and teaching all the love of Christ, something the Catholic church were desperate to prevent. But I digress,

  • well i used him because he is the lead figure of protestantism.. and Herr Hitler made many references on Luthers anti-semitic remarks which exists in writting i will post it here if/when i find it. So what if i had to read the bible in latin? i'd not complain Latin stores the word of God in a perfect form that when converted to english its message gets distorted. The gretest reformers of Christianity are people like St.Francis of assisi, St.Ignatius, St. Teresede avila because they never left.

  • instead they stayed back to repair their beloved church and their fruits are abundantly flowing out today. Martin Luther left, he sought the easier way, and look at what he did. Did he reform anything? How many Protestant churches do you see out there today? Hundreds and they all differ some way or another. Now how many Catholic churches do you see out there today? JUST one. We are the same everywhere.

  • "Mark well that in the Catholic Mass, Abraham is our Patriarch and forefather. Anti-Semitism is incompatible with the lofty thought which that fact expresses. It is a movement with which we Christians can have nothing to do. No, no, I say to you it is impossible for a Christian to take part in anti-Semitism. It is inadmissible. Through Christ and in Christ we are the spiritual progeny of Abraham. Spiritually, we [Christians] are all Semites" Pope Pius the 11th ,1938.

  • A very safe thing for Pope Pius to say, sitting in his lofty seat in Rome. Be that as it may, Germany was a Catholic country and most of the priests supported the German armed forces. So if you will, God was on both sides. You may well think I am negative or cynical, but that's what happens when you've been around for 63+ yrs. I remember from experience when mass was in Latin, so I know also from experience the hatred against the Jews within the Catholic church. They've changed through fear.

  • haha! sorry but being 63 years old does not mean that your head has grown up nor does it give you the capacity to recognise the truth when you see it before you :) Mama MAry was merely 15 when God came to her. Your age does not matter here friend you may have seen more things or less but how you see them is what matters. Well its easy for you to talk all this things sitting on your seat as well is it not? At least the Pope sat on His seat doing His job! what are you doing ?

  • Germany was no Catholic country...it was under a dictatorship. It may have had many Catholics but no it wasn't a Catholic country my friend. Some priests in Germany supported the Nazis no doubt but not the whole church, some actions may have seemed scandalous like the concordate between vatican and germany but the intention was not. I do not hate jews. Pope John paul 2 said that they are the elder brothers of Christianity i was barely a child when he said this but Where were you?

  • kanakaken: Germany was half Lutheran not just Catholic. You need to address the other half as well !!!

  • Sorry sillygrandpa, I don't follow you. I didn't know the other half needed addressing. What did Lutheran Germany have to do with Catholic Polish people? All I did was dispute that Catholicism was behind Ms Sendlerova's thinking. I believe she gained her caring nature from her parents. They were very much in supporting the downtrodden Jews long before the nazi invasion and before Irena was born.

  • Wow amazing and brave woman! What a difference from the others of her day - Hitler and the Wiermacht, the majority of whom were confessing catholics.

  • What an amazing woman! Her faith was obviously stronger than torture or fear. She is one of those we should strive to emulate.

  • God bless her soul.

  • I actually had respect for the Nobel Prize, given how it's treated in pop culture but hearing this tells me it's just as much of a political joke as any other award. A movie concerning a subject that has been part of the general social dialogue since the 80's over a woman who risked her neck to save thousands of lives? Wow.

  • Rest In Peace.

  • It's a shame that after IIWW, poland was... sold to soviets...

  • It is certainly true that FDR's actions toward East Europe is an eternal blight on his name. He could have done more for Poland et al. But how much more could the West have done for Poland? I have trouble seeing how anything could have stopped the Soviet occupation.

  • a shining glimmer of hope in an age of barbarism

she is a hero for us all.

  • We, the Polish community, are shocked by this outrageous

anti-polish actions that are massively being taken by the Jewish

community trying to missinform the international opinion about

the historical facts and trying to pass the responsibility onto

the Polish nation. It seems as if "old" Jewish-American

community (from before the II World War) is trying to wash away

its own blame for the holocaust. When in 1942-3 Polish and

Jewish courriers were sent to the US informing of the

  • what a good woman

  • Irena Sendler was just too great a person for such a plain award as Nobel Prize. She rescued over 2500 Jewish children risking her own life, now what may compare to that. If there is a true God, She has already received Her prize in Heaven.

  • The Nobel prize was given to Al Gore.

She is a true hero from the world's point of view and should be a saint from the church's perspective.

  • I heard about that on Glen Beck, its sad that people don't get the thanks they get.

  • Al Gore won the Prize she was nominated for. :(

  • Because The Nobel Foundation is political correct :-((( .

  • What a breath of fresh air!

  • I guess holy people dont get prices that are made out of explosive profits, like the nobel price is.

Al Gore is the right one for the explosive-peace-price.

The worst thing is, that so many people have respect for this prize. I think the price is cursed with higher grade destruction, cause that is its origin.

  • For the Jews the most precious race on earth is their own one. Thus, only those "goyim" who serve Jewish interests are valuable to them.

One shall not forget that small Jews become tall Jews one day.

  • 92% Jews were killed because GERMANS closed them in camps and later GERMANS deported them to death camps and killed there - don't blame Polish people for crimes of GERMANS!

92% Jews were killed because they didn't fight- they prefered passiveness than defiance.Don't blame Polish people for Jewish passiveness and lack of defiance.

92% Jews were killed because of their lack of solidarity- jewish policemen and members of Judenraten ( jewish councils in all ghettos) -collaborated with GERMAN NAZIS!

  • It`s ironic that Jews blame not French who packed all French Jews in train to Auschwitz, not Ukrainians who has SS Waffen Division Galizien, Not others... but Poles who created biggest anti-Nazi resistance movement in occupied Europe and who executed colaborators and German nazis in Poland. I can`t uderstand this.

  • Only 75000 French Jews died. One third were even not French

  • @ferdovit I disagree. Jews blame those who colaborated with the Nazis, and praise those who risked themselves to help others. Poles are not hated as a nation!

  • I have no idea whether or not Jews blame French, Ukrainians or others, however, I had the absolute pleasure of working in Poland several times over the past few years. I was in the beautiful city of Wroclaw. The people in Poland changed my life and offered me a new hope for humanity. They are beautiful, real, dignified, intelligent, loving, kind and understanding people. If the world consisted of people as I encountered in Wroclaw, this world would be a better place. Poland is extraordinary!

  • Witold Pilecki (1901 1948) Author of first report about the Holocaust.

He became the only known person to volunteer to be imprisoned at Auschwitz concentration camp. He organized the resistance movement in the camp, He escaped from the camp in 1943, took part in the Warsaw Uprising. In 1948 killed by the communist secret police. Until 1989, information on his exploits and fate was suppressed by the Polish communist regime. Only one Polish biography of many.

  • SAINTLY WOMAN.

There were a few thousands similar to her. Sadly there were not enough.

  • Apparently you don't get my point. How is it possible that Poland as "Nazi most supportive country":

    1) unlike Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia and Finland - didn't join Axis alliance despite the fact that Nazis offered it a couple of times before the war?

    2) unlike France - neither signed capitulation nor established any collaboration authorities after being defeated by the Germans?

    3) developed biggest anti-Nazi resistance movement in occupied Europe? (more...)

  • 4) unlike almost all European countries - didn't formed infamous voluntary Waffen SS divisions that commited numerous war crimes?

    5) provided 4th largest Allied contingent that fought Nazis from the very beginning till the very end from Norway to Tobruk and from France and England to Ukraine and Belorussia and finally in Berlin?

    6) was informing the Western Allies about Auschwitz, German atrocities and situation of the Jews in occupied Poland? (more...)

  • 7) has the highest number of the "Righteous Among the Nations" even despite the most severe law introduced by the Nazis?

Could you please explain this unbelievable phenomenon? How could Poles, the biggest Nazi collaborators the world have ever seen accomplish all of this?

  • Could you give me please some more detailed information about that alleged "RAMPART COLLABORATION Nazis received from the Polish"? Why do you repeat anti-Polish propaganda lies?

  • peem

I totally repect the thousands of Polish people who avted similar to Sendelrowa.

Also there was the Zegota organiation.

But te fact that 92% Polish Jews were murdered IN POLAND (3,300,000 murdered!) - and that most Jews were brought INTO POLAND and murdered there, makes Ploand the most supportive to the Nazis. Compare percentages to other countries - go to wikipedia and search: Holocaust#By_country

  • Sefardi: Are you a stupid fool ??? Jews were murdered on Polish territory by the GERMANS because over three million of them (Jews) lived there. It was easier for the KRAUTS to built their camps on Polish

territory simply because of logistics and because they didn't want their own people to know what they(the Germans) were doing in occupied lands and especially in Poland. Before you post stupidities on Youtube you need to get your facts straight !!!

  • "Poland supportive to Nazis"?! Gotta answer to that (although 2 months passed). Sefardi, apparently you don't know a thing about Poland; you should be ashamed of your words. In WHAT way, for Christ's sake, could Poland be supportive?! Did we give away our Jewish citizens to Germans, just as they did in France? No! Did we actively support Germans in Holocaust? No! European Jews were brought to Poland by Germans and killed by Germans! But you already know that. Please, just show some respect.

  • peem

I do not have anything against the young Polish of today, and cannot judge the majority who stood by and did nothing - since it was a great risk to their life and their families to help Jews. That's what makes people like Sendlerowa so GREAT.

But the HORRIBLE numbers speak for themselves.

*** If you personally know of someone who saved lives under the Nazis and is not recognized - PLEASE contact Yad Vashem. They would be more than happy to honor them!

  • You say about numbers, why don't you take into consideration other factors that had important impact on the Holocaust like:

    1) duration of German occupation

    2) German laws and attitude to natives in occupied countries

    3) willingness to serve in voluntary units of German army

    4) activities of Polish government and resistance

    5) number of non-Jewish casualties

  • Poland was the first country attacked by Hitler and experienced much longer period of German occupation than other countries - almost 5,5 years of occupation (France - a bit above 4 years, Russia & Baltic states - 3 years). In Poland Germans introduced one of the most severe and brutal laws ever, they treated Poles like subhumans. Even when the defeat of Nazis was inevitable, Germans didn't hesitate to completely destroy Warsaw. Only in occupied Poland Germans punished all household members

  • with death sentence for helping and hiding Jews. Despite several attempts by the Nazis, no Polish voluntary unit fighting for Germans was ever created. On the other hand Polish resistance - the Home Army was the biggest one among all occupied countries. Polish government was the only one that created a underground organization dedicated to help the Jews. About 6 million Polish citizens died during the war - 3 million Poles and 3 million Jews.

  • These facts are true, do some research about it if you want. Considering all above how you can even say that "Poland was most supportive to the Nazis"?

  • peem

I agree in general with the factual part you bring and thank you for counting our dead among yours (it was 3,300,000 Jews and 2,600,000 non Jews by my data).

The fact that you feel hurt and pain at the collaboration tells me you would most probably NOT be one of them. I am sorry for your pain.

Please understand we have MANY accounts of collaborators. HOW did the Nazis even know who was Jewish?

Us Jews REVERE saints like Sendler.

Just don't come and demand us to "thank" you as a nation.

  • u r ignorant!!!!!!!!!!

only 30% jews speak polish - it was easy to find them by german - they were traind to do this

and YES - u have to be thankfulll!!!!!!!!!!!

  • God bless Irena Sendler.

  • If the Catholic News Agency wants to proclaim to the world that this wonderful heroine was a CATHOLIC, why not also proclaim that Hitler, Himmler, Goebbels, Heydrich, Rudolf Hoess, Streicher, Fritz Thyssen, Claus Barbie, and Franz Von Papen & the heads of all of these NAZI countries : Degrelle of Belgium, Hacha of Bohemia-Moravia, Pavelic of Croatia, Konrad Henlein of Sudetenland, Laval and then Petain of Vichy-France. and the R.C. priest, Msgr. Tiso, of Slovakia were all Roman Catholics???

  • Well said my friend! I missed the television film about Sendlerowa and her heroic actions, but I have read about her and other heroic gentiles during the holocaust. You are right on the money as concerns collaboration too. Are you familiar with Max Kolbe?

  • I know the "+" and "-" of my nation, I may say many critic words of my nation, but for sure not this that they were collaborating with Germans, Germans were our thousand years enemy. YOUR ACCUSATIONS are LIES. and please give me the numbers of known collaborators, how many, and sources, maybe you live on another planet, I live on Earth and third time I ask you for sources and you are mute. Until you write where are the numbers from, it is useless to continue.

  • Irena Sendler wasn't a CATHOLIC, she didn't belong to catholic church. She saved these children because of moral issue, not because she believed in god.

  • I don't know who gave you thumbs down, but they obviously can't accept the fact, that Irena Sendler was an atheist. Yes, ladies and gentleman, you don't have to be religious to save lifes of innocent people. May she rest in peace.

  • She was a polish catholic... having religion helps though lol!

  • An atheist? Almost no one in interwar Poland was atheist. If she was so atheist why did she give those children to nuns, or keep "Jesus I trust in thee?"

  • If you read my previous comments closely....you will note that our opinion/stand on the matter is quite similar. Please look before you leap.

  • Pope Benedict XVI !

The Second apparition of Mother Mary continue at Akita in Japan now. She revealed Her title to us. That is "Corredemptrix, Omnium gratiarum Mediatrix" ( "Co-Redemptrix,Mediatrix of all graces" )

God wants you to proclaim that "Mother Mary is Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix of all graces"as dogma.

  • If you liked this story about Irena Sendler, check out this video, it is really a heart warming tribute to her..

Irena Sendler- Sleeping With The Angels

  • According to NOT POLISH HISTORIAN ( like Teresa Preker- a Jew, Gunnar Paulsson - from Sweden) 360 000 Polish people helped Jews during holocaust IN SPITE OF DEATH PENALTY , but now Jews admit only 1% Polish help becasue in Jad Vashem there are only about 6 000 Polish names .

Irena Sendlerowa saved 2500 jewish children , Henryk Sławik- saved 5000 Jews , Tadeusz Romer working in japan embassy saved thousands Jews .

What is the use of helping Jews if they now admit only 1% of Polish help ?

  • Those people saved Jews because they simply felt that was the appropriate thing to do, not for any appreciation in the future. They were just good, ego-less human beings. If they didn't need any appreciation for their acts back then, why do you require the appreciation now?

  • Because of antipolish propaganda of Jews. It is not enough that since years jews have defamed Poland and Polish people ignoring fact of big help from Polish catolics - they have blamed catholic religion although in all catholic orphanages and convents Jews received help during holocaust. This is a question of truth- Jews has big problem with truth about holocaust : some facts they hide ( polish big help, own collaboration with German nazists and Soviets , participation in Soviets crimes)

  • Truly a saint. God bless her.

  • I have nothing against Al Gore but the fact that he won the Nobel Peace Prize over someone like Irena Sendler reveals how political and meaningless these prizes are.

  • Here is a NEW dedication video that should have been shown to the nobel prize commitee by Irena Sendler. It is music in her honor with images from the Warsaw Ghetto. Please enjoy! type or copy and paste..

Irena Sendler Sleeping with the angels

  • . Perhaps we all can learn from Mrs. Sendler, that life should be protected in all its stages. And I hope that her example will teach all of us haw to be more human.

May she teach all of us haw to love

    haw to forgive

    and haw to live

    May she rest in peace!

  • It so inspiring that people around the world finally after over 50 years can get to know Mrs. Irena Sendler, one of many unknown heroes of my Nation. It is shameful that this courageous and extraordinary woman was not recognized for her work. However I hope that one day her story and story of many other, who out of love risked their life to save others.

  • We need more heros like this today.

  • Congratulations, excelent video. All * and my favorite. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, CMPTICA

  • Irena Sendlerowa she was Polish Catholic in Warsaw

Reuters Agency reported from Buenos Aires, Argentina on Fri, 19 Apr 1996 (14:50:17 PDT) on The World Jewish Congress.

Israel Singer, General Secretary of the World Jewish Congress stated that Poland _They're gonna hear from us until Poland freezes over again. If Poland does not satisfy Jewish claims it will be "publicly attacked and humiliated" in the international forum.

  • the Nobel lost Irena...

  • what a shame!! they cannot give her the nobel prize, what is the value of that prize then???

  • The nobel peace prize means nothing now!

  • Amazing story!

    La heroína Stacha! Stanislawa Slawinska.

Esfira Maiman survived the Holocaust thanks to a noble Polish Catholic woman Stanislawa Slawinska who risked her own life in order to save her, as well as several other Jews. Stanislawa Slawinska was a Polish Catholic woman, lived in the quiet town of Grodzisk Mazowiecki.

  • AL Gore should be very embarrassed to get the peace prize. This woman is ten times the man that he is. She had character was loving and brave and one could go on and on talking about this wonderful woman. On the other hand putting this woman on a list with names like Jimmy Carter and yasser Arafat , Algore does seem wrong

  • She was a wonderful, compassionate and extremely brave woman. Though I am not a believer, I think she was a much finer person than most of humanity. However, I see no reason to attack Al Gore.

  • I don't like Al Gore; I think he is a egocentric idiot, driven and animated by a "false" religion-However, he did not create the odd evolution of what has happened to the Nobel Prize Commission, therefore, he should not be blamed for this loving woman having not received her Nobel Prize.

  • And indication that our world needs much improvement: Irena Sendler never received a Nobel Peace Prize -- Al Gore was chosen, instead for putting his name on a video. Injustice still prevalent in our world.

  • Wow! Thanks for sharing!

  • Movie in the making would be great!

  • What a hero!!

  • Mother Irena from Warsaw...saved 2,500 human lives. Most of her life her deeds went unrecognised and were hardly known. She never looked for fame either and used to say that she only did what everyone should do.

Polska jest z niej dumna! Czesc jej pamieci!

  • the Nobel peace prize is NOTHING compared to the heavenly reward she's now enjoying. This woman LIVED!

  • She died one day before the anniversary of the first apparition of our Lady at Fatima.

  • I would like to envite everybody to join the fan club of Irena Sendler on Facebook. In memory of a great woman

  • she LOST the nobel peace prise to AL GORE? this lady was a TRUE HERO!

  • Irena Sendler didn't lose to Al Gore. It is the Nobel Accademy who lost to Irena Sendler. She should have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize as early as 1950 or any year after that. The Academy just missed the boat by 60 years.

  • BBUKID: What Irena Sendler did took place over 60 years ago. Al Gore won the prize for recent events. The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded for recent events and not what happened several decades ago. Some of you people are too stupid to understand and you say stupid things. Irena Sendler's story has been the world's best kept secret until recently. Irena Sendler should have been nominated back in the 50's or 60's. This is not the Nobel committee's fault. Also, leave Al Gore alone

  • Henryk Sławik (1894-1944) was a Polish politician, diplomat, and social worker who during World War II helped save 5,000 Hungarian and Polish Jews from Budapest by giving them false Polish passports.

  • You can see on her face that she is a wonderful nice blessed angel...

  • i purchsed an oil painting of her.........

  • Amazing woman!

  • I can't believe I never heard this story...I too am humbled...but rather than mourn her death, I think we should all thank God that people like this were there...at that time. She was a true hero, against whom the mettle of every other hero should be measured and defined. Do me a favor, everyone who reads this, please pass this story on.

  • Jürgen Stroop wrote "When we invaded the Ghetto the Jews and the Polish bandits succeeded in repelling the participating units, including tanks and armored cars, by a well-prepared concentration of fire."The main Jewish battle group, mixed with Polish bandits, had already retired during the first and second day to Muranowski Square and was reinforced by a considerable number of Polish bandits". Another proof for legendary "polish antisemitism"

  • Every high school student should know this woman's story.

  • Irena Sendler wasn`t one: Witold Pilecki (1908-1948) He was only known person to volunteer to be imprisoned at Auschwitz concentration camp. While there, he organized the resistance movement in the camp, and as early as 1940, informed the Western Allies of Nazi Germany's Auschwitz atrocities. He escaped from the camp in 1943 and took part in the Warsaw Uprising. Pilecki was executed in 1948 by the communists.

  • Ferdynand Marek Arczyński (1900 1979) was one of the founding members of Żegota (Council for Aid to Jews), an underground organization in German-occupied Poland from 1942 to 1945.

Ferdynand Arczyński produced daily hundreds of false IDs, work cards, Roman Catholic birth and marriage certificates which were given out free of charge to some 4,000 Jews hiding on the "Aryan" side of the ghetto. He arranged for places to live, medical help, and monthly cash disbursements.

  • I am humbled

  • I call her Saint Irena, I beleive she was a great person. I can't beleive she lost to Al Goore for the Nobel Peace Prize.

  • A precious person, who reminds me of my own mother. My mother and father loved me so very much, and it is because of their love being so steadfast during my life that has brought me back to the Holy Calholic Church.

  • Saint!

  • What a sweet, lovely face. I've always wanted to see an angel. My wish is complete. It is an honor to be her contemporary.

ZEGOTA saved 50000 Jews from Holocaust 1/3

  • Jürgen Stroop wrote "When we invaded the Ghetto the Jews and the Polish bandits succeeded in repelling the participating units, including tanks and armored cars, by a well-prepared concentration of fire."The main Jewish battle group, mixed with Polish bandits, had already retired during the first and second day to Muranowski Square and was reinforced by a considerable number of Polish bandits". Another proof for "polish antisemitism"

  • Europe has a shameful history of anti-semitism. People like Irena give me hope, that in-spite of dreadful hate against Jewish people...reason and truth can touch the hearts and minds of some, who are beacons of goodness.

  • Polish citizens have the highest count of Righteous among the Nations in the world, at 6,066, despite the fact that in German-occupied Poland all household members were punished by death if a Jew were found concealed in their home or on their property. Over 700 Polish Righteous among the Nations were murdered by the Germans for aiding or sheltering their Jewish neighbors.
