Pretty Cool lesson here, Covers the topic quite well. Ive just made a bunch of detailed courses for beginners and advanced guitarists that you might be interested in. Check it out! would love to know what you and anyone watching this video thinks. Its totally free, and i mean TOTALLY
@jwschaeffer I play the 555 part of the chord with my middle ring and pinky, also works, might be worth giving a go. either way you just need to practice in order to get it, its hard to explain, but eventually you will just know how to play it. also, try playing each note separately before strumming so you know where problems might be, fix them before you start strumming
My aunt recently gave me a Conqueror acoustic guitar. Like the 1971 one. My brother, who is an experienced guitarist loaned me his electric tuner and it sounds great! Thanks for the tutorial. I love you (no homo) :)
i have a guitar teacher who comes to teach me at my home, since the last 3 months he cudnt do wat u just did in 7mins.. thank you Marty, kip up the good work buddy
MARTY IS THE SHIT!!! There is no better youtube guitar teacher then marty! thanks marty, my band and I have written 6 originals now. and there all based on your lessons thank you a million. My theory has also come along really well. LOVE MARTY LOVE!
dude u make the strumming sound easy. I can't get a grip on the pick, it slides all around. I hit chords and they sound screechy and my rhythm is inconsistent.
hi im struggleng to get that really clean sound on my amp i no it can be done cuz my music guy did it the nobs on it are GAIN VOLUME BASS MIDDLE TREBLE and there ar three nobs on my guitar one being volume i dont no the other two
on your amp turn your gain down to about 5 or 3 turn your bass to a 4 middle to a 5 and treble to a 7. On your guitar the the second knob is a tone knob turn the towards the floor
Y'all are fucking awesome. This is EXACTLY how I would be teaching people if I were so inclined. Whenever I've tried to learn a new tune, or "practice", I have always run into roadblocks whereby I simply needed someone to break it down for me. Of course, learning by myself, this wasn't possible, so I either put 2+2 together or gave up in frustration. The latter eventuality was far more prevalent.
You guys are great and I hope more people find your page. I wish I'd had this when I was learning.
It tells you what the chords are. For example, the C chord they have is X35553 (1:19). To do that one, you press down the 3rd fret of the 5th string, the fifth fret of the 3rd, 4th, and 2nd strings, and the third fret of the 1st string.
Get guitar pro!,Its really great it got chords and scales and everthing (you can download tabs if thats what you want) and build your own tabs and its alot of fun!.
