Well we would love to have the aerial go first, but its coming from the Hibernia which is farther away the the central trucks! Also whenever Truck 1 comes back, thats usually what we do. First engine pulls past to leave room for the truck.
Notice the placement of both truck companies. I don't know why AFD doesn't have the truck company lead and be first due and have the engine follow. This would give placement of the truck co. right in front of the fire building instead of being blocked by the lead car and engine and having their ladder reach over the other units. Bad placement. Other than that, it was an aggressive attack. Good Job AFD! Oh, and hats off to the Scheirer brothers!
People that comment about fires on here are 100% poser wata be firefighters!!! News flash! you were not there at this fire and the fire department you are critiquing fights more fire in 1 week than your department does in 1 year!!! I guarantee it!
just watch and keep your lame comments to your self. It makes you look ignorant and stupid......
I believe WFD station 37 was called on scene? (I know they were sent to allentown for a fire standby, but they switched off whitehall fire channel, and I never switched my scanner :p
Station 37 was dispatched to a AFA in the city. Station 32 was the only other company at 1445 to supply cascade unit. First in engine was 4, 1st in truck was 2. Eng 6 was operating in the rear alley.
what are the little packs or wraps on the back of their helmets??
