That´s a horrible, haunting punishment. Maybe it is caused by personal charm of the actor who played the prosecutor, but I would never go on revenge thru somebody´s child. Even if Valentine is going to be alive, this revenge was far too much. He should have revenged only on the step-mother and on the prosecutor, but not on Valentine-even if he practically did not and she was not part of the plan, she ENDED like that and that´s what troubles me.
@Calucifer13 Edmond's revenge didn't include sacrificing Valentine. Her death was faked to get her out of there, it would been a matter of time before the mother poisoned her.
