I agree it is pronounced La-bor-to (like toe at the end) - if you see the clip from Matt - This is Your Life, you will see the accurate pronunciation of his name. He was so gorgeous back than and still is. Matt is just Hot!!

Time to ask a dumb question. How is his last name pronounced?
To avoid all the rotten tomatoes, I will point out I had all these pics on my wall in 1981 too. I just never picked up on the pronunciation.
