  • ...hmmm, are you american by any chance?

  • @yahoochiewatchie

    No Canadians (Newfoundland).

  • It's really beautiful when not played at break-neck speed! Thanks for sharing!

  • i like what you did here. very nice.

  • beautiful

  • Great job guys

  • I was expecting this to be awful.....quite the opposite though, the lads play a great melody together.

  • Sounds really good guys!

  • This sounds great slow. What type of bouzouki are you playing?

  • It's beautiful! But I wouldn't call it 'slow' - I'm trying to play along with it on my tin whistle (trying to learn the tune) but it's rather fast for a beginner like me... ;). But it sounds wonderful, I really like your playing style.

  • Awesome stuff boys!!

  • Wow! What a great house to be living in! Can i move in too? Lovely melodic playing, thank you!

  • Thanks for the lead!

  • SillyWizard, I love the walk down that the guitar is doing, but because of the angel, I can't figure out how to imitate it. Would it be possible to get you to tell me what you are playing?

  • Hi there,

Jody Hale ( YouTube name = newfiefiddler ) is playing the guitar on this on. Sorry I can't help you out.

    Rich

  • are they all your instruments?

  • Gorgeous! Thank you for posting this!!

  • fantastic

  • wow...very nice! love the slow version! I'd buy that cd!!

  • Great job b'yes. After hearing Bugs Green's blazing version of this on the carbonear computer (squeeze box) I never realized it could sound so good in slow mode. Well Done!

  • love it! i wish more poeple would play a little slower than the usual breakneck speed, cos its easier for beginners to follow and allows for more expression in the music

  • Quite nice.

  • lovely

  • Guys, this is awesome. I wish more people would post slow versions of tunes so we could learn to play along! Personally, I don't know of any nearby slow sessions where I can spend a lot of time learning to play. (Ok, I can drive an hour and a half each way - but at that rate I won't attend many!)

  • man thats awesome, great tune

  • Nice playing lads - very nice acoustic sound......Jim ( scotland )

  • I love this rendition of the Maid Behind the Bar. Great job, guys.

  • Steve and Jody, you fellas are deadly bye

  • Please tell me where I can get the tabs/notes for this song!

  • Hi there, they don't use tabs. They play it by ear.

  • I've been playing for about 7 years now, and I have found very few tunes which sound as good fast and slow. Great job.

  • Guys, your stuff always sound awesome, good job.

  • Great stuff. I love playing my fiddle along with the tune. It's good to have session right here at home. I don't have to rely on blokes who have nagging wives to turn up and play.

  • wow.. its sounds some different played slow! holy crap.. its sounds really nice. : )

  • Lovely!

  • wicked by'es ye should come play in Stevenville you'd block the place

  • Yes, awesome. Im only 18, but fascinated in Irish folk music music! Me and a friend will starta a small group and start playing, and see you two doing it so nicely inspires me! Ver good indeed.

  • best of luck

  • Well played, really enjoyed that, sounds much better played at this speed. Guitar part really compliments the bouzouki. About to search for tabs and try it myself.

  • What a beautiful job!!! Excellent!!!

  • Really nice! Beautiful tune and very sweet playing

  • Beautiful music. Thank you.
