When i tried, safeLinux, i used your wordlist in the description. i used it on a wpa2 encrypted network, and when i used aircrack-ng, i could see that i got around 1000 k/s . after 10 minutes it was still not cracked, and 670k keys tested. how did u cracked yours so fast in the video? the wpa2 key i was cracking consisted of 8 numbers.

@batcut If you have 8 numbers you have to try (in worst case) 10^8 keys. At 1000 keys per second, you will have to wait in a realistic scenario 1 day 3 hours 46 minutes 40 seconds (in worst case) until the key is found.

Thank you for making this video,I have backtrack installed as a dualboot so I don't use the live cd. Do I need the 64 million wordlist for this to work? If so, then how to add the wordlist in backtrack to make this work?

@JesseBennett2010 Yes, you need a wordlist to crack the key. You can download the file to an usb-stick or download it directly in BackTrack :)

How long does it typically take you to crack with aircrack-ng and the word-list you have in the link? I tried on a wpa network around me and its well over one hour now

@fallenspirit123 If you have luck and the key is short and simple, you need only a couple of hours, but if the key is strong you may have to wait over month or years...
