@jeansim The eq rotaries feel slower to move than the djm. DDM4000's eq's do have a 12 o'clock sitting position however i felt it was to easy to miss when making adjustments. Build quality I wouldn't feel as confident using it as the djm and some rotaries start turning quicker after normal use but it wont fall apart. It's good if you want a mixer with that has heaps of features but wont be as sturdy as mixers with the just the main functions imo. Try to get hands on with it in a store first.
@jeansim By internal software do you mean the onboard fx section or Traktor. Over the 6 - 12 months that I had the DDM4000 I never encountered any feezing or crashes. I bought it because of the filters and the four channel ability however I was never satisfied with the quality of the filter's sound. What good is an effect if it doesn't sound good lol imo.
Thanks for that reply! By internal software I meant the software that is inside the mixer. Since it is a digital mixer, many actions you perform on it are processed by the mixer's built-in software (if I am not mistaken). I was just wondering, because the seller at my local DJ store told me he had complaints about it freezing or crashing.
Gotta give it a try at the store to see how it does!
Thanks a lot for your detailed comments and keep on your nice mixing :)
djm because when it comes to mixing I find it operates much smoother in terms of eq's, faders, even fx. when I turn an eq on a ddm there's no very defining 12 o'clock point as there is with the djm where it sits into position. Just my opinion.
listen man,, i got to mother fukin questions dat are killing me.... i just bought the this mixer today and it turns out that my thing brought traktor 3 and no usb conection for the mixer to the laptop is it supose to bring it or am supose to buy it? that info is no where to be found on the box..... nd ok u know at the beginig wen u show how bright the lights are??? urs seem to look blue,,, mine are green,,, did i buy some bootlegd shxt or wat??? get back at me as soon as posible.
no cause behringer heard that so many complaid about the bright damn light so they made them green and not that damn shiny so you just got a new version of the ddm 4000 :) and yea you have to buy a usb cable :/ kinda sad i doesnt come with the mixer :( i hope i answered your question correct :) :D and good luck with the mixer :D
yea yo that looks like a prety sick mixer, am geting it monday when it arrives.. rite now i have the behringer djx 700 and am not really feeling it, but this one, cant wait to get it. if i have any questions ama come to you lolz
Did you mean the fx bpm counters? well for the most part they're pretty wild and uncirtain. There's like a 50% chance you can land an auto beat synced flange lol. There's also the option to tap the bpm in then its fine.
djing should not be about autosync, kinda takes away the purpose of dj'ing, after it autosync's you only really need to press play at the right bit and if your that bit out fix it. finding the speed and getting it in time makes it that bit more of a challenge and fun !
cool, good to ask that kind of question. Buying the cdj400 is a great discision, for example the 1000mk3 is overkill for a home setup ive found. The ddm has a lot to play with, but doesnt feel as great to use as a djm. but for what your going for I'd say you'll have some fun months ahead.
Hi, I have one of these mixers - a good trick to reduce the brightness of the blue LEDs is to put a small piece of masking tape over them; it cuts the brightness so it no longer hurts your eyes to look at the mixer!...... Nice mix By the way :)
i can never really listen to electro/house. but this was pretty interesting, i actually sat here and watch the whole thing haha. nice clean mixing here, the last track was tuff. keep it up man. 5* k`no
Thanks haha it sounds suprising to sit through music you're not into, but regardless of genre you should pick up something to try out next time your in the mix.
You're not bad. :D

Okay, so basically on this mixer EQ knobs do not snap to the 12 o'clock position?
Have you been using it for long? How is the build quality? I am skeptical in buying a Behringer and would like to have you opinion about it.
