The CR-2 controller is designed to work just like a real crossing. There are no short cuts. Thus, if the train is stopped on the road, it will keep working.

@Nimhster Same thing back here in Virginia,US. Norfolk Southern intermodal trains would come to the crossing would come to the crossing then stop. the crossing would be held up to 7 minutes when they build the intermodal and coal trains there

The problem wasn't dirty track, it was other trains on the layout shorting out the mainline. We are working on adding short zones to each module but it is time and money!
