@ReTr093 To be honest, both have their flaws. Fenders are usually made to a budget (the crappy stock pickups, the general feel) and are safe and quite bland design-wise.

Whereas Gibsons have the electronics, too bad the quality control just isn't fender standard.

I think Gibson vs Fender is the most discussed thing about guitars, but I personnaly think people should check up the PRS's. They are as sweet as the Fender and bad ass as a Gibson.

I play some heavy metal stuff and I tried many Fender's at my guitar shop but it doesn't get the gain like I want a guitar to. But they are way less expensive than Gibson's. I like the sound of the Gibson, but it so heavy and i just don't feel good with them. I thing PRS has the bests of both companies.

Your solo samples are not consistent. The Fender solos are played in the small frets, mostly on the neck pickups. The Gibson solo is played one octave lower, with more of the bridge pickup. Therefore these Fender solos will sound more aggressive and hard rock, these Gibson solos more bluesy and mellow.

I played with a dude who delivered exactly the same sound as in the Strat and Tele solos featured in your video, of course he had only the neck bridge on, and he had a Les Paul.

honestly there both awesome guitars. but for the most part strats use single coils(sound dirtier) and gibson use humbuckers (sound warmer) neither of them are as good as they used to be. Les Pauls and Strats from 80s or before are awesome. the quality of both has gone down since, fender more so. i like both though, they make noise when plugged in, good enough excuse for me to play either

well perosnaly i think a fender is a bit better than a gibson! If i could buy any guitar in the world it would be a fender telecaster with a maple fretboeard. Some people dont like maple fretboatds because it picks up dirt so you have to clean it regulary. But i think its easier to play on then, lets say a redwood fretboeard.
