  • Oxidation on ones headlight is a REAL concern these days...LOL wtf. whatever

  • I see ZERO oxidation on this vehicle..I don't GET why this vid was made...

  • @gblueslover2

Did you look at the lens for the headlight....Yep, oxidation, you lose.

  • This would probably work for single stage paint but for base & clear coat paint like most people have, I used rubbing compound (supposed to be more aggressive) and it took forever - so I would not recommend polishing compound. I had really heavy oxidation, the clear coat was chalky and you could scrape it off with your fingernail, but it was hard to get off. But rubbing compound got most of it off.

  • I fell asleep by his voice, did he get to remove it?

  • just work it nice and slow.. i lol'd

  • what a joke thats not even oxidation

  • i did both polishing compound and wax but it didnt work on my car....... any other options??

  • @Xb0xFr33k2012 First of all doing it by hand will take forever and like doing anything CHEAP and the WRONG WAY you wont get much of a result, you want to learn how to do this right go to Junkman2000 and watch his vids, doing this by hand, HA, paper towels, HA, jeez, you need the orbital buffer, the right pads and the right compounds, go check him out if u wanna learn.

  • check out m22wright channel on the very best videos on oxidation removal. To get rid of it completly generally requires you sanding the clear coat.

  • listen to this video without watching it, its hillarious!!!

  • hes making a swirling motion???? what the fuck

  • @kief4diamonds

That is actually the correct way to wipe down cars, if you knew more about them.

    :)

  • it would have been better if you showed working on actual oxidized part rather than working on a shiny paint, just a suggestion!

  • @archetype001 haha i agree dude. this is like his only video where he gave legit info about anything dealing with a car. But he shows it to use on a car that didnt need it and kinda kills the example.

  • That turtle polish compound and rubbing compound is SH!T. If you want cheap but ok use scratch out. If you want stronger use 3m rubbing compound or Meguiars ultimate compound :)

  • @Vietwhiteboy i do agree with you on this but be careful with 3m products cause for 1st time users it can be a little to aggressive compound cause that company is mostly designed for professional body shops and they can hurt there paint if the 1st time doesn't really know what there doing but turtle wax has been around for a long time and really isnt a bad product especially there new line of turtle wax ice but to me mothers has always been a really great product , just my opinion

  • @eclipse93gst

I've had great success with 3m over the years, but yea I've been using Meguiar's Ultimate compound but mostly I use poorboy's world pro polishers then klasse when I comes to detailing cars. I used turtle wax ice 2 years ago and didn't really like it at all.

  • @Vietwhiteboy well thats good man ill never knock 3m its a great product but i do know one that can give 3m a run for its money its called superior detail products, here in south texas alot of pro detail shops use it its awesome stuff they make everything top to bottom they cover every area of the vehicle paint, rubber, vinyl, palstic, leather, and carpet plus fragrances go to your local oreilly's they know about and they can order for you or go online and type in superior detail on yahoo or google

  • what exactly does the oxidation do to the paint?

  • right on time... thx

  • Good vid!!! Thanks

  • can I do this by hand, or should I use a orbital buffer?
