That cat didn't need this squirrel as food to survive. It looks well-fed. Wildlife has a tough enough time surviving without cats needlessly killing them. Yes, cats are hunters, but house cats do not need to do that to survive any more. Squirrels are plentiful, yes, but that doesn't mean the life can be wasted on a house cat that doesn't need the food.

Everytime my dog would catch something, it wouldnt eat it, it would kill it, chew it up, then just throw it away. My cats will always eat what they catch, atleast most of the time. and cats arent messy, my cat has brought me "presents" , its dead, no blood. Depends on the dog and the cat. A persian or saimese fancy cat won't survive. A generic cat would. Same goes with dogs. Just today my dog almost killed a squirrel. She bit it on the hindquarters and it climbed into a small bush. There was no escape. We had to put her in the house while we got the squirrel to leave. I think it went into shock or something because it was a bit sluggish to flee. We have a cat in our neighborhood who kills crows, but has never taken a squirrel.
My two cats are regular old domestic shorthairs. They dont even want to go outside. There is two cats in my brothers nieghborhood that are feral and take squirrels at will. Ive never seen them skinny. I collected 4 kittens from outside my house to fix up and give out for adoption. At 5 weeks old they plenty of piss and vineger in them. The cat probably saw the squirrel and ran after it up the tree and when it tried to get it, it didn’t get a good grip and end up breaking its legs, injuring the squirrel and the squirrel couldn’t hold on any longer so it fell, and the people happen to have their video camera, your making it sound as if these people caught the LIVE squirrel and put it in front of the cat, for the cat to torture it.

That cat didn't need this squirrel as food to survive. It looks well-fed. Wildlife has a tough enough time surviving without cats needlessly killing them. Yes, cats are hunters, but house cats do not need to do that to survive any more. Squirrels are plentiful, yes, but that doesn't mean the life can be wasted on a house cat that doesn't need the food.

You know, i didnt see this cat play with the squirrel. It simply couldnt catch it. . and iv had 2 dogs and 2 cats. Everytime my dog would catch something, it wouldnt eat it, it would kill it, chew it up, then just throw it away. My cats will always eat what they catch, atleast most of the time. and cats arent messy, my cat has brought me "presents" , its dead, no blood. My dog tho, will bring me a chewed up bloody mess. the cat wasnt playing with it, it couldnt catch it

my dogs eat the rabbits they catch and the one time my ol dog caught a deer it ate a lot of it. when i see cats catch mice they usually dont eat them, sometimes they do but usually they just play with them until they eventually kill them. regardless of whether the dogs make a mess or eat their kill, they dispatch the animals quickly, unlike cats

Depends on the dog and the cat. A persian or saimese fancy cat won't survive. A generic cat would. Same goes with dogs. Just today my dog almost killed a squirrel. She bit it on the hindquarters and it climbed into a small bush. There was no escape. We had to put her in the house while we got the squirrel to leave. I think it went into shock or something because it was a bit sluggish to flee. We have a cat in our neighborhood who kills crows, but has never taken a squirrel.

My two cats are regular old domestic shorthairs. They dont even want to go outside. There is two cats in my brothers nieghborhood that are feral and take squirrels at will. Ive never seen them skinny. I collected 4 kittens from outside my house to fix up and give out for adoption. At 5 weeks old they plenty of piss and vineger in them. tell that to someone who wouldnt know any better. we used to have a really bad wild dog problem here and there are still a few but not many. and in australia they have a lot of them. you put my lab outside, he'll survive, he's a lean, lanky lab. there used to be a wild dog around here that i think was a german shepherd/lab mix...he's still alive but a family down the road adopted him...kinda sorta, they feed him and he hangs around the house and their other dogs but for about 5 years it was wild

any domestic house cat will hunt small game. just as any domestic house dog will hunt rabbits. thats really all domesticated animals are...wild animals put in homes. yes, they still have their hunting instincts.
