I DO watch O'Reilly on a regular basis.

I find him entertaining and I wont say that I hate him but I DO realize that his claims of being a political independent and of being unbiased are a joke. If you're anywhere NEAR his show he WILL force his opinion on you and USUALLY insist that he's right even if he has to cut off the microphone of someone with an opposing viewpoint. Like MANY conservatives B.O.R.seems to believe in increasing the volume of his voice rather than the logic of his argument.

I remembered thinking DeForest and other cast members were just talking sour grapes. Seems particularly cheap for the non-Shatners to complain so long after the fact. Any one of them could have still upstaged Shatner.

You are mistaken. DeForest Kelly never talked trashed about Shatner. He was one of the only cast members who was neutral and didn't get into the b.s. Kelly's was old and mellow at the end of a long career by the time he did Trek. He didn't care about all the rivalry. As far as I know DeForest Kelly got along with everyone.

I think you are correct, Kelley didn't care one bit about the infighting between Shatner and other cast members, during the show or later. Kelley's first movie was in 1947 and by the time Trek rolled around he was winding down, and I'm thinking he might've been really sick by the time the movies came around.

I admire anyone who admits that s/he erred. It is commendable that Shatner admits to his jealousy of Nimoy. Shatner was to have been the star of ST-TOS, but the public "made" Nimoy the star (which was what the jealousy was about). It takes a real mensch to admit to jealously and then get over it.
