Some common swedish wordplays are. Men are disposable. Men should have no rights to opinion. give me half of your income after I divorce you and of course you will never get to see your children again.
Love your vids ;) and yes swedish is not easy, det är som sagt ett av dom svåraste språken i världen sägs det . Jag kan själv inte mitt språk fullt ut och jag tror inte en professor i svenska kan allt heller. Hope you understand. Keep up the good work /Mackan
gotta love how the guys trying to buy a blue shirt in a record shop -.-
i speak german and english and i think most swedish words are quite close to one of those languages so if i see them written i can make sense of most of it. but when swedish people talk i still dont get nothing at all. so please make more of those conversation examples please. they really help ;)
it was actually really good. I'm swedish and of course i don't think it's a difficult language. But i know many who does. Try not to 'swallow' the words, but pronounce them 'sharper' instead.
Btw: den kostar 50, tycker jag, is not right.
jag tycker: I think ,ex. i think this soda tastes good.
Jag tror: i think, ex: I think it's raining outside. It might sound strange but i think you know what i mean ! :D keep it up !
alicffs - if I'm getting your drift right you're saying that 'Jag tycker' is used to convey one's opinion or personal agenda regarding a certain matter?
and "Jag tror" is used to opine, to assume or hypothesize to the best of one's knowledge?
I hope I got it right. nonetheless, Swedish is indeed extremely hard and peculiar, and that's coming from a guy who's native tongue is Hebrew, probably considered to be one of the hardest languages in the world. lol.
but what puzzles me about it is the following: what if the teacher ask a bunch of pupils a riddle or a question, and then she ask me for my answer, should I say "Jag tycker det är tio?" or should I say "Jag tror det är tio"?
(assuimng that my answer to the question is 10 of course, although I'm not at all sure I said it right in swedish)
You say "Jag tror det är tio" as in "I think it's ten" or if you know the answer you just say "Det är tio" and skip the 'Jag tror = I think' part. I can use 'tycker' in a sentence. "Jag tycker detta äpplet är jätte gott" = "I think this apple tastes really good". Conclusion: 'Jag tycker' is something personal like a feeling and 'Jag tror' is something you believe is the answer... or rather something like that.
yes thats what i ment :D haha, i'm not really that good at explaining in english but you said it ;D It's really funny to see how many people there are who likes swedish and wants to study it. In third class in sweden you start reading english in school and all TV-shows are like english .. Then when you start sixth class you have to choose between learning German ( which i personaly choosed ), Spanish and French. So we have alot of options learning a new language and thats just great!
You'd only say 'Tröjan är blå'; 'den' is unnecessary in the sentence since 'tröjan' is already conjugated. When you say 'den tröjan' it means 'that shirt'.
'Hur mycket kostar DEN?'; you wouldn't say 'det' about a thing. 'Det' is correct however, when you're asking how much something costs in general or how much a service is.
'...50 kronor TROR jag'; in Swedish, as in English, the words for 'I think' and 'I believe' aren't always synonyms. Your sentence suggests that he thinks that the price SHOULD be 50 crowns, as in a dictating form.
Otherwise, this is a very good conversation. I hope my explainations are understandable!

I wouldn't recommend this lesson as it is full of errors, grammatical and word wise....

If you think 2-3 errors means it's full of it.
Then you're just full of it..
got that?

"Jag vet inte, 50 kronor tycker jag"
"I don't know, 50 kronor I think"
is not correct, "tycker" should be "tror".

what alicffs is saying is that when you say tycker jag, that is an opinion rather than a statement
