it's brilliant to see this from the point of view of someone in the crowd rather than from Kelly Holmes on the stage. I wish we could capture that euphoria and drop it back down to today, it was a magical time back then, such a happy and bright future.
We did lose, thankfully. We were totally unprepared. Just come to New York and tell me that we are prepared to host the Olympics.
I actually found an interesting article about how London and New York are competing over the 'business capital of the world' title.
New York is so diverse though which is why it has so many strengths other than business. New York is really a perfect example of exactly what a modern city is.
Majestic scene's just try to stop us terrorists we will never die because we believe in ourselves. Just try try to attack during the games the UAV's my dad makes will stop you. And keep making idiots with simple minds like the one bellow believe you're crap.

i can shut up but what the british has done in the middle east is a fact, come on don't be in denial. 50 years later, the future generation will learn about this in their history lesson. Then, students in britain and america would be proud of this historic event but students elsewhere will spit at their history books
Nobody in American cared about this, from what it seemed. 60% of New Yorkers didn't want NY to host the city. New York's metropolitan area is twice that of London's, it would have been a real bitch to do it especially with all the controversy over the West Side Stadium and overcrowding. Publicity wise, NYC would have utterly dominated every other city. New York City is the greatest city in the world. The Olympics would have just been another nice-to-have-that's-OK-if-we-don't-get-it attraction
YAY LONDON! Was standing at a bus stop off Trafalgar Square when it was announced. As a Londoner this really was an amazing moment. Great city, Great country, Great people. Rule Brittania! London capital of the world!
Oh fuck off! London is Europe's answer to New York.
I see you're Danish. Oooh Denmark is such an amazing country isn't it? As a nation, you offer Bacon and Lego...woooo... Copenhagen, that's where the action is really happening, eh? A strolll down Nyhavn...booooooooooring...
I remember this day. It's not about the style of the venues, the logo, blahblahblah, It's about the SPORT. People forget that.

¿Y eso es alegría? Si hubiese ganado Madrid os habríamos enseñado cómo se hace una buena celebración... ah, y os recuerdo que Gibraltar es español ;p
Todavía os quedan 6 años para el 2012...

The bitter taste of defeat. You get only a small number of chances to celebrate so it's no wonder hehe.
