  • It's a grate album! It's like the whole album could be the soundtrack to a huge musical theatre production!

  • what a fine looking androgynous woman. just hottt

  • @kalvinklein2 lol she's not really androgynous, look at her makeup and her body shape

  • the Dark Knight and Edward Scissorhands were awesome!!

  • Listened to it from beginning to end...one word...splendid.

  • @shesings11 NO, 0:38

  • @SIRGAGA123 thank you now tell that dummy...

  • @SIRGAGA123 what hat? You mean her hair. Her hair is twisted from the base of her neck and pinned up the back with the top bend back and pinned. Look for other picks of her and you will see she has natural hair that she just pins back. Why don't you create a hat since you thought it was one. People will buy it.

  • @ub3long2m3 0:38 dummy

  • the Greek initiation! Check out Joseph Campbell young-ones

    MAGIC POWERS

  • The archandroid from start to finish....mindfcks me. And i love it!! <3

  • it's kinda sad that she has to ask us to listen to it from start to finish. i've always done that and used to think it was as common-sense as watching a movie from start to finish, but apparently these days most ppl buy albums just replay the couple songs they've heard on the radio over and over. it seems stupid to me, it's like getting a movie and only watching the parts you saw in the trailers. why buy it if you're not going to enjoy the whole thing?

  • @Cuddlebunzzz I also don't like people who just download the recommended tracks from magazines, of course sometimes I just feel like listening to a certain song and I'll just listen to that one, but I like the experience of listening to albums from start to finish.

  • @Cuddlebunzzz because most musicians can't sustain the attention of their fans without the visuals (i.e on the TV half naked or flashing some type of materialistic possession to capture the eye of the dim witted and shallow people who buy their music) that being said very few artists actually indulge in art anymore.Janelle's in a category that only few fall into, before her album I don't know the last day I sat and was so impressed and intrigued by an album I couldn't bring myself to press skip

  • @Cuddlebunzzz I don't know if most people don't listen to the whole album, but I don't see what's wrong with listening to a couple of the songs if that's what one enjoys. No matter what you're doing, you're supporting the artist and I think that's one of the most important things. I think it was smart for her to mention to listen from start to finish (and presumably in that order) because she did a concept album and there are a lot of artists who just do a "regular" album.

  • @QueenAnime99 well in any album there should be some thought put into the structure, the flow and the overall concept.

I mean there doesn't have to be a story in it like The ArchAndroid but at least put SOME thought into the music you make.

  • @TheTelepathicKid I agree. Good day.

  • @Cuddlebunzzz Actually, most artists are lucky if people buy the whole album; Thanks to mp3s most people probably aren't even aware that the concept of an album - much less a "concept album" - exists anymore.

  • I was indeed transformed my favorite criminal Android. What an unforgettable work of art! I am honored to be of the same generation as this visionary artist.

  • This woman is a genius! I love both her CDs! It's not for the typical mind.. She's highly intellectual, well spoken and incredibly talented. Hope she comes back to NYC!!! Love her!

  • i like this girl, but she is fuckin nuts!

  • just beautiful inside and out. Janelle Monae <3

  • Start to finish then repeat...YOU BETTA PREACH CINDY!!!

  • i think she is so cute

  • i love her.... she has a beautiful mind! omg.

  • damn wut kinda weed did she make to come up with this cuz i want some lol

  • @slick1hit Not everybody has to smoke weed in order to be creative, and talented. Some people are just born with talents and don't need a crutch.

  • @3DevilMayCry3 nigga please

  • Well spoken, beautiful, unique and talented.

    Perfect!

  • She is a really beautiful lady. When is she coming to Rio de Janeiro ? Maybe to be the new "Girl from Ipanema "...

  • Awesome insight into this phenomenal project - on the concept of the continuation of the Metropolis saga and the hat/prop background as well. Yes, I do believe this album has inspired me greatly to CHANGE.

  • @AlienLizzie What is the Metroplis saga? I would love to know.

  • "E-motion pictures", huh? Nice. Takes me back to Parliament days on the song AquaBoogie: "...E-motion pictures underwater starring most of you loops..." Or at least that's what I always thought they were saying. ;D

  • got the albumn and i kid you not.....i have been listening to that thing for 3 days straight! janelle i loooove youuuur muuusicc!

  • @ladikira86 OMG, you are not the only one! I pre-ordered and then downloaded the single (Tightrope). But I felt like I couldn't wait any longer for my pre-ordered cd, so I bought it at Borders, right? So I have one in my car, one in my house and of course I ripped it to my computers and iPods. I LOVE every doggone song on this album. This young lady is so supertalented. That's all I want to listen to!!!! LOL AND I was the same with the Metropolis cd.

  • She's my kind.

  • she actually turns a nigga on... damm shes hot... something about her...

  • but why does her hair bend like that?!?

  • @merepsychosis LOL Yeah, but it's cool, right? Reminds me of the Elvis-dog in the cartoon - "Dig my Do" from way back in the day. No disrespect intended. I think it's cool - I love me some JM!! You should watch it on QOOB tv. You'll see what I mean. Sorry, I can't post a link here.

  • *ahhh*. Real music is not dead. Thank you. :)

  • CLASSY. INSPIRATIONAL. FUNKY. UNIQUE. I freakin' LOVE Janelle Monae!

  • nice.

  • I can't wait. I loved both her previous albums, "Sincerely, Jane" is my anthem. I also loved "Cybertronic Purgatory" , such gorgeous music.

  • @vardoegers that tradition is continued here with both overtures

  • I can't wait!!! Been waiting for over a year. YAY come on May 18th!

  • @kimmaytube same here, I was beginning to think she wouldn't continue the series, but fate had a different story in mind...!!
