  • I think this song works okay as a live number - but nothing special for an album - before anyone steps in I LOVE Thin Lizzy - just my view.

  • Always thought Nightlife was one of their weakest albums, they could of used this on the LP. Good tune, thanks.

  • @Beezard1977 Nightlife is my favourite Thin Lizzy album!! :)

  • I agree Downey really stands out here

  • Maybe they got the Fighting Tunes from this song? Good song, silly they didn't put it on any album..

  • Blacksab never ceases to amaze!

  • Great page. Its always good to hear unreleased thin lizzy tracks

  • blacksabfan, thank you so much for all you do.

  • i acually got this consert on an bootlegd cd, Still in Love with you wgat ar aperaing on this consert most be the best version ever of it.

  • "everybody like rock n' roll here tonight?..yes"

  • Fantastic song!

  • how did he manage to write such deadly lyrics??? i wish i had his creativitiy D: but then theres only one Philo

  • Where did you find this/these?

  • WTF. Another unheard Lizzy song. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love everything you do. Still Out Here xxxx

  • dead on what a find.

  • where do you find all thin lizzy songs i have almost evry album they have made but lots of the songs u have have i never heard befor? they still rock after all this yers !!!!

  • My God i've been listening to lizzy for around14 years and I've never heard this track. Fair play to you for finding these tracks. A definite jem!

  • i love thin lizzy this is a catchy tune phil was an awesome front man the best in my opinion and missed deeply R.I.P.phil

  • I think it would have worked on the 'Fighting' album and if not there...surely 'Nightlife'. 'Nightlife' needed a another track like this.

That said, I too am not a huge fan of "Rosalie". It's an okay song, but Lizzy had tons of better tracks. I'm honestly not sure why so many people wanted Thin Lizzy to play it so much...it's not even an original.

  • Yeah, I feel the same way about rosalie too.. this would replace it perfectly

  • I agree. I would have preferred this on Fighting to Rosalie.

Looking forward to getting Nightlife this week.

  • Yes Lizzy has alot of great tracks.. That are problably 5x greater than Jailbreak or The Boys Are Back In Town.. Those 2 are also awesome tracks.. But its ironic how an underappreciated bands creation is often even unappreciated by their own fans :P

  • The Boys Are Back In Town is my least favourite Lizzy song by far and yet it is the most famous/liked song by them.

  • Yeah the live version is good, but the studio version is a bit too- well, *gay*.

  • That's great, really catchy.

I wonder why this song got dropped ?

    Kirok.

I'm not sure if this would of worked on the fighting album, but maybe ? I don't think Rosalie was ever a good studio song, don't get me wrong it was brilliant live, but just not the studio version.

Spirit slips away is still my fav' off of the Fighting album.

Anyway, thanks for posting another gem.

  • You're a veritable Indiana Jones when it comes to excavating lost Lizzy treasures, bro. This would fit very well on "Fighting" (my favorite Lizzy album); in fact, I think it would have made a good replacement for "Rosalie" (I know -- I just committed a sacrilege of some sort).

This performance has a real "Live & Dangerous" vibe, too. These guys were just TIGHT right out of the chute, weren't they?
