  • I'm planning on buying my first dslr. I'm considering D90 D7000 or Canon t2i. What would you recommend?

  • Thanks for sharing!

If you want to see it, i got two short films recorded with the nikon d90

  • Mine is not working after one week only :(

The SB900 flash also overheat very quickly.

    Kind of disappointed here...

  • @nurvist

    lol

  • This is photo camera, not the camcorder.

  • 1 it's a DSLR not a broadcast camcorder

2 do you have any idea of how AF system (multicam) works?

it takes the mirror to be down to work, because mirror is semi-transparent and af module is BELOW the mirror. if you're using it in live view or video recording, mirror must be UP, so af module can't receive light to work. think before write.

  • if you already had a D3, you should've bought a real camcorder instead for video.

the D90 is still primarily for taking photos and it does a superb job at it. the video function is just a bonus.

  • the D90 is an awesome camera. and it shouldn't be compared to the Mark II because the latter is really for the pros.

compare the Mark II to the D3X and it will blow Canon's camera right out of the water.

  • its sooo obvious that she is reading off a script

  • the D60 is dogshit--and too small for anyone but girly hands. get the D90!

  • "spend extra few hundred dollars"

    more like $600+ extra dollars

  • :-D

  • build... like a tank? feels more like plastic if compared top the d300 or d700 or even a fm or fe

  • i guess the only problem i have with this video is that the camera and the vr lens are NOT sub 1000 dollars. They both cost about 1250 for them both.

  • I keep hearing its heavy its heavy from everyone on youtube...Am I the ONLY one who feels better when the camera is heavier than lighter? It may be just me but I feel more secure when I know the thing isn't plastic and can break easily.

  • canon 50d is made of magnesium and weights more than this camera.

  • i just got one of this... it is avery good camera

  • Couould u tell me, if it is a good camera for a begninner?? Like me. I just want the best camera , but is it really that good??

  • it is a very good camera for a beginner. of course it is not built like a d300, which is almost a 1.000 dolars more expensive than the d90, however i could not notice the difference on the image quality if compared both cameras....

  • the only thing thats different is the fact that the d90 is plastic when the d300 is a magnesium body and all those fancy rubber sealings but the bitch who did this thing is stupid

  • but to jump into the game and get a dslr yea this is the best unless you want to get a ridicoulus canon

  • loool

  • canon has very high quality cameras.

  • what the hell is her problem. Its a hella lot faster then the D80. She didnt even match up her words with what she was showing us!

  • Rubbish review...

  • what a crappy subjective review.

  • the review by cameralabs is a lot better

  • what the hell it says price range 1,297.00 to 1,299.00 what the hell is the difference!!! Who cares if its 2 dollars betwween!!!!!!!! you didnt even have good info about the camera

  • I agree. This bitch must be burned.

  • "sub $1k camera"?? editor?? can i get a job at cnet, since you cant seem to align your video reviews with your written description?

  • I seriously want to save up my money for this camera.

I love Olympus but im starting to dislike them the more i realize the limits of the 4/3rds sensor.

I would love to have the D90.

By the way, as others have said, 'WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS BITCH TALKING ABOUT'. CNET must be an easy place to be promoted at. If a dumb bitch like this can be senior editor than damn, maybe i should work there.

  • What a horrible review. So much misinformation!

  • What misinformation was in the review? It just sounded like a basic, generic review to me.

  • Based on this, I think I'll stop reading Cnet reviews. Who knows how many other half-wits they have on staff...

  • Nah I find Phil Simon a very good reviewer... or did I get his name wrong?

  • "its fast, its about the same speed as D80" what?? its 4.5 fps..

Why is she pointing at AV connection when she is talking about ISO levels??

Who made her the seniour Editor??

  • and i think she forgot to tell us that you can't record audio in movie mode ~.~

  • You can record audio in video mode

  • Maybe she meant the response =.= She seriously has some problems with UNDERSTANDING WHAT SHE'S TALKING ABOUT.

  • she needs to work on analyzing the specs, but i guess you can't ask that much. she doesn't sound very knowledgeable in cameras..... cnet should hire someone that specializes in that.

tell us what it does and how the image benefits. flexibility, what you can do, options. whatever! don't just tell us it's a rock. we know a rock when we see one.

  • does the d90 have time laspe feature?????? anybody?

  • Only When hooked to a PC I read it somewhere

  • do you know anything about the pclix time lapse gadget remote or any other product that can be purchased to acheive time lapse for the D90??

  • No man , Sorry

  • Horrible review! Saying it's nice does not equate to a review. Ridiculous.

And no this is in no way the same speed as the D80! The D90 is 5fps while the D80 is 3. Very different. You mentioned nothing of worth.

"A bit heavier than the yaddayah but still takes good shots". Argh

  • I mean 4.5 frames per second.

  • wow. virtually no useful information given in this "review". this is not a review, this is a marketing/ advertising clip.

  • very nice camera, but this review is incredibly shallow, even for an uninformed consumer.

  • Because it comes in a kit, Body only is probably less

  • correct me if I'm wrong, but how can it be a "sub-$1000 camera" if the price ranges from $1,297.99 to $1,299.99 ??

  • It's $999.99 for the body alone. The other price is for the kit which basically means that it comes with a lens.

Anyway, This women seems to barely know about cameras. On other reviews, she basically said that more megapixels = better picture. Tell that to the Nikon D3.
