  • lol the related videos are all cat videos.

  • @Omniback20 Oh my...maybe it's the year of the cat! : )

  • Colorful food. Yum!

  • This video makes my heart happy.

  • @glenwoodfin Have you ever been to Twin dragons in North Carolina! My aunt owns that! You should go there I will make sure you get discounts as well:)

  • Great friends. Great food.

  • Looks yummy.

  • Lol, nice try at pronouncing "hello" in Chinese. :)

  • @DalaiLamaTruth Ha, did I say it wrong? Oops!

  • I just went to another Chinese New Year at the Jade House in Spartanburg, South Carolina last night (Feb. 13th, 2010) and had a blast. The owners of this restaurant are some of the best friends I've ever had. I adore them.

  • hey i live in Spartanburg 2, cool and i just got this same Vado for Christmas 2... i love it!

  • @pizzaroll23 You are going to luv the Vado HD!

  • That little camera captures the colors well. I can go for some Asian food now. Yum!

  • the ultrahd has a better picture... BUT for the price its hard to pass on the vado... the vado may be on the christmas list this year

  • I bought a Flip HD, and you can't point it back at your face while holding it in your hand because it will be out of focus. The Creative Vado HD is no problem.

Also, the Flip HD couldn't handle low light...the Vado HD performs well in low light.

: ) Either way, I hope you love what you get.

  • It's hard to image that this camera costs about $100.

It is a great time to be alive!

  • i am amazed at the quality of the video and great to see you guys all celebrating together :)

  • thanks for the comment,it seems like you ccan speak chinese,wich one?cantonese or mandarin?...ni hau ma?too 4u

  • I'm not sure which varity of Chinese I'm learning. I'm going to the Jade House tonight, I'll ask them and get back to you.

  • They told me it was a form of Mandarin or more specifically, Fujian.

    en.wikipedia org/wiki/Fujian

  • Glenn where was the mangosteen juice? Lots of delicious looking food. I was impressed with how clean the restaurant looked. Looked like everyone was having a great time. Thanks for sharing.

  • That is so funny you say that! As a matter of fact, I was going to ask them if they could get the actual fruit. They do get me raw coconuts for Asia. I chop open the tops and drink the milk with a straw. I got addicted to them when I lived in Rio de Janeiro.

Thanks for stopping by! : )

  • I tried the coconut milk when I lived in Hawaii for 3 years serving in the Marine Corps. It was quite a task figuring those coconuts out. They are tough buggers. Have a great day. How is Washington DC?

  • Wow, I got in last night about 9 p.m. I'm actually in my room at the Ritz Carlton right now having a cup of coffee. That is sooooooo cool that you asked!

When I cut the top of a coconut off to drink the milk, I'm always afraid I'm going to miss and chop my other hand off.

  • @juiceforyou who are the coconuts? O_O

  • is this near the spartan 6 theatre this restraunt may be new since I moved away so Im just taking a guess

  • Get on the I-26 from the Spartan 16 and head towards Asheville for about 4 minutes, then head towards Charlotte on the new I-85 for about 5 minutes. Get off on Hwy 9 and take a left. The Jade House is on the right across from the Boiling Springs Post Office (right next to the Copper River Grill).

  • oh yeah I used to eat at the the copper river all the time, also there's a really good bbq place right south on that same road I believe, I will reply back if i remember the name. I used to go to Dorman High school before I moved, not a big fan of the boiling springs bull dogs. LOL thank You for the directions Ile eat their the next time I come down

  • Perfect! I love the Copper River Grill too! I usually get their grilled Salmon on a Cedar plank and their super fresh Caesar salad. It's one of the best restaurants in Spartanburg.

I'm so glad you knew where the Copper River Grill was, because I thought my directions were too long.

I ate at Wings in downtown Spartanburg the other night...very fun.

  • Haha i think people you're filming are not feeling comfortable ^^

  • Ha, I agree. I felt bad that I kept asking silly questions of my good friend who owns the restauant...the one also holding a video camera...the put up with me any way : )

  • Yeah nothing bad actually =) Take care !

  • They are much nicer and friendlier than the chinese in california I have to say that. They looked like they try to assimilate their here they dont. They are most likely Cantonese though. Big difference. At the same time its funny the chinese will learn spanish but the mexicans will not learn english.. .LoL. I speak all 3 of the those languages. I always tell the mexicans here to learn english and they dont want too. Its a shame. I tell them if the Koreans or Chinese can learn they can too.

  • I have to say that the owners, Peter and Helen (American names), have become some of the best friends I've ever had.

They have had me over to their house many times and have invited me to the restaurant about 15 times for their special family and employee dinners on Chinese holiday.

I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT and the owners!

  • i want that food so bad!!! exelent presentation in that resturaunt. puts england to shame!

  • The quality of their food and the world class presentation blows me away. In fact, I'm headed over there right now to eat.

  • Thank you for the Wanker title

  • god, this vid makes my tummy rumble.. i totally forgot to scrutinize the quality of the camera i'm going to buy!

  • Ditto on the food. The owners of the Jade House Asian Buffet are awesome people and have been amoung my best friends for a decade.

If you're ever in town, I'll treat you to their buffet! On Your Side, Glen

  • You sound like Mr. Rogers lol

  • im moving to that place just so i can tell everyone that i live in Spartanburg

  • I'm not sure I can recommend Spartanburg as a place to live, but the city next to it is world class. (Greenville, SC).

  • This is amazing! haha i so wish i was there..

  • Thanks for your comment!

  • Dont watch this vid when ur Hungry :)

  • I completely agree with you! The Lams and Gaos really know how to celebrate. I've been fortunate to have been invited to their special occassions for about 10 years. They are beautiful people. Their food is world class.

    Thanks for your kind comment!

  • I'm with ya man.

  • OMG i would DIE FOR THAT FOOD!

part chinese but i don't look much like it.

    but

    that food looks amazing!

  • The presentation of their food on special occassions is always gorgeous. I admire them greatly!

Thanks for your comment! : )

  • I am blown away too by the quality of their food and their perfect presentation. The owners of the Jade House are some of the best friends I have ever had. I eat there at least once a week and the food and hospitality is always fantastic!
