  • check out my skyrim techno remix if you want :P full version coming soon

  • Well

the famous skyrim song is based in this one.

Just tell me if 1:24 doesn't sound any familiar to you ;)

A true fan will notice that XD

I love every damn elder scrolls game... they never and i swear never dissapointed me.

  • @vilchisss i noticed it for the first time i ever heard skyrim theme

  • @vilchisss You just noticed?

  • @JDizzleaus Uhmm,no. Since first day. I was just saying for the people that only played Skyrim.

  • Greatest elder scrolls game I always liked it and I will defend it graphics oh well it's a older game it has more things than the graphics.

  • @LS1056 Explain why you like it more than oblivion and skyrim please, i want to know your opinion :DD

  • @MrDeathmachin3 it is definitly not better then skyrim but it is way better then oblivion

  • i installed this game when i heard this theme, then turned on.. then................ WTF what are these graphics FFS?!!!!!!!!!! uninstalled after 30secs.

  • @MikuLuka579 Die.

  • @MikuLuka579 Wait never mind your a self confessed troll.

  • @MikuLuka579 How could you install it without knowing what it looked like!?

  • cliff racers are glitchy as fuck

  • amazing

  • Morrowind did pretty much everything right. Even the text dialogs were better in my opinion. Back then Bethesda had you actually think before doing. No compass in your HUD telling you where to go, just you, some spells, cure disease potions, a map and your trusty, old diary. The music was superb, the story awesome, and the atmosphere was amazing. I love this game and everything it stands for. This theme gives me goosebumps everytime. To all old-fashioned fans: Drop Skyrim, relive Morrowind!

  • @FolisTES WAIT. Skyrim is actually awesome. Yes, Morrowind may have that *thing*, that all gamers are seeking for, but we have to admit that every Elder Scrolls game is amazing.

  • @FolisTES Except the NPCs were cold and dead. At least in Daggerfall they had schedules and went to bed instead of standing in the same place 24/7 like they're in an MMO or something.

  • @FolisTES So youre one of those elitists. You'd be stupid to 'drop' Skyrim.

  • morrowind and skyrim are one of the best games ever!

  • Best theme in the universe !

  • This music makes me think of Cliff Racers Gawh! They're pecking my eyes out again!!!

  • @lastvaquero Where's Jiub when you need him?

  • @jdizzleaus not 500 years i watched g4 said skyrim was 200 years in the future from oblivion

    damn ipod keyboard

  • skyrim-morrowind same stucture different emotion

  • 139 dislikes? Nice try Anvil :P

  • thumbs up if you're listening to this in 4E 201

  • Ah, I can still hear the wails of the silt striders echoing in my ears, and the gruff muttering of the word "outlander" coming out of a Dark Elf's mouth. Oh Morrowind, I love you.

  • For some reason this makes me homesick.

  • check my morrowind techno remix :)

  • i love the theme...I LOVE IT !!!!!!

  • sounds like skyrim theme

  • @snake9718 All Elder Scrolls theme's were based off Morrowind. Oblivion remixed the Morrowind battle theme, and get this, some guy remixed the Morrowind theme on YouTube, and Bethesda used it as their Skyrim theme.

  • @dnangelfan24 Nope.

  • @dnangelfan24 lolz

  • brings back memories!!!! fucking awesome game! :D skyrim is also REALLY cool, but it cannot create that kind of atmosphere... but thats not Bethesda's fault, its natural :D

  • @bobbybob188 I'd prefer Valenwood! ♥ Elves are my favourite. c:

  • I do so hope the next Elder Scrolls will be set in Elsweyr. Elsweyr's theme should be nomadic sounding.

  • @DoggySpew Or in Valenwood. :)

  • this is so awesome! im kind torn in between which is better... skyrim is epic but this reminds me of like the first Lunar theme song....great song nevertheless

  • WTH isnt this part of Skyrims theme? (Skyrims my first TES game plz don't hate if im missing something...)

  • @xSkye629x no no skyrim IS the part of morrowind theme

  • @danceswithwolves47 PERFECTLY put!

  • @xSkye629x All the TES themes have something in common

  • @Larreyftw O nice I like how they did that, sorta ties all the games together outside of some of the plot elements

  • 138 ppl took an arrow to the knee

  • Morrowind expansion in Skyrim please Bethesda. Thank you.

  • @AshTheMohican you do realize... that would take like 4 years... right?

  • @rubickscube6666 Part of it is already in there, so maybe they already prepared for it during Skyrim.

  • @AshTheMohican No they haven't, but it would be cool. I would also like to go to azura's realm of oblivion.

  • @GroundHOG20101 No seriously Morrowind is in there, there's a couple videos on Youtube of some guy clipping and going to Morrowind and Cyrodiil is in there too. It's just poorly detailed so I guess all they gotta do is let the new engine work it's magic with the tree planting and grass making etc. I'm pretty sure Morrowind and Cyrodiil are gonna be in expansions, or parts of it at least.

  • @AshTheMohican that might explain the 5 year gap between oblivion and skyrim

  • @rubickscube6666 Isnt there like a 500 year gap?

  • @JDizzleaus I mean like release dates, in the actual game its like 200 years

  • Don't you love how everyone hates on a game when it is not the same as the last few, but when it is (MW3) everyone hates on it even more?

  • give me chills down my spine...

  • I love that the last three games have continued the same theme song, but with each version adding more and more until there's a simulated 90-man choir singing :'D So friggin beautiful

  • @zt78631 yeah I feel ya skyrim is really pathetic comparet to oblivion and morrowind...which really sucks.

  • Anyone else feel that, without modds, Skyrim is almost completely unimmersive? Oblivion and Morrowind filled me with a sense of wonder that is sadly missing from Skyrim. Every time I play, I'm completely aware that I'm simply hitting keys and moving a mouse.

  • @zt76831 What, Oblivion was immersive? It didn't even have random events and the story was full of plot holes. And the terrain; everything was just generic forest and there were like 4 types of dungeons that all looked the same. But the UI was better at least (just not as good as Morrowind's).

  • Prob one of the best games ever made just love this game

  • skyrim reminded me of morrowind in HD, Morrowind earns a place in my heart that made me love RPG's and such...

oblivion is too bright and colorful

  • @Steampunk915 Which means Morrowind was your first TES game and thus why it will always be your favorite. That's the thing, everyone hates on Oblivion/Skyrim just because they started with Morrowind. Everyone loves the first TES game they play the most because of the impact the game has on the player. Luckily, I started with Arena so it was easy to break the Nostalgia spell. My favorite TES game was Oblivion, closely followed by Skyrim, Morrowind and Daggerfall. TES games are god.

  • @Soulece But I like Skyrim more than Oblivion.

  • @Soulece Your comment is full of opinions. I started with Morrowind and rank Skyrim and yes, even Oblivion over that. I'd probably put more hours into Morrowind and can go back anytime I please but in my opinion Skyrim takes the cake for best TES game... so far.

  • @Soulece Dude arena is my favorite TES,Just because it was brutal, how big it was and the quests, i mean comon who wouldnt like another arena with skyrim graphics i mean really!

  • @Soulece I started with Arena but love Morrowind the most

    /comment null and void :p

for the record I hate on Oblivion because I thought it was poo, not because it wasn't my first TES game

  • Listening to this brings back soo many memories T-T

  • Is this sons of skyrim?

  • @I8RICKROLLERS ur trying to say u havent heard of morrowind before?!

  • @johnjobf No I just realised about the song today

  • Nostalgia.

  • Comment removed

  • @sameq1337

Skyrim is fucking awesome. Maybe you should not expect it to be exactly like the other games in the series and embrace the changes and enjoy the game. Get your head out of the past.

  • These environment made oblivious seem soooooo boring

  • i love the elder scrolls

  • I love this music so much. It brings back so much memories of seeing how much Morrowind has advancing to such a high quality game as Skyrim. I will always love Morrowind, and still play it to this day. The Elder Scrolls are amazing <3

  • this is awesome!

  • Lets all hope for a remake

  • Morrowind is still the best elder scrolls! Oblivion sucked shemale dick and i hated it! skyrim was funner then expected, but morrowind for life!

  • :O all the theme songs are the same tune but played in different ways, this one is slower and softer, the oblivion one seems kinda cheerier and the skyrim one is like a battle song

actually this version makes me think of like a sad love song

  • @RosenrotRtLiebchen87 Yup. Morrowind's is an epic fantasy version, Oblivion's is a royal fanfare version, and Skyrim's is, of course, a barbarian choir version. All great in their own sense

  • @RosenrotRtLiebchen87 I will agree with you on the slow and soft part but this song in my opinion sounds much more adventurous and wonderous than sad and lovey.

  • I just wrote bethesda if they cant reamake Morrowind with skyrim graphic animationt and more. Please all wrote the same they maybe do somthink if someone was that good thumb up if all see it and help us to resurected morrowind.

  • @DragonAgeCZ Why reserect a game that is golden just how it is?

  • @DragonAgeCZ Well, there is Morroblivion, a mod for Oblivion which is, in it's core, just Morrowind pasted onto an Oblivion template - I'd try that if you wish for a Morrowind, with the same epic setting, but with higher Graphical quality.

  • @DragonAgeCZ If you used that grammar in the e-mail, then I doubt they'll even read it.

  • Check out my lets play morrowind videos, Just started and need some feedback.

  • this. is. mindblowing. My brother used to play this when i was a kid, and listening to this brought back SO MANY MEMORIES....and i didnt ever play the game!

  • Thumbs up if you don't give a shit!

  • Thumbs up if you are listening this in 4E 202

  • @klebernmolotov I'm listening to it in 4E 203.

  • Skyrim and oblivion are the best games but i agree morrowind was good its expansions were a little low for a TES game

  • @Punkrock3011

nah... oblibion was okay, but morrowind was 10 times better (:

and skyrim... no words could discribe this piece of epicness!

  • @SeksGnom Sufficient to say, TES is awesome in itself. There may be variations between the different TES games, but they still outrank pretty much all other open-ended RPGs by far. Fallout is awesome in its own right, but incomparable to TES. The fantasy world these games pull you into is, and probably always will be, awesome.

  • @KiyokoFaith

well... there's nothing left to say.

you said all necessary things ;)

    (i totally agree)

but in the direct comparison i liked the atmossphere of morrowind better.

but all these games are fantastic and uniqe. (okay, morrowind was one of my first games i REALLY played. and such an awsome game for the beginning takes the beginner up (:

(eeh.. sorry if there are some grammar-mistakes ^.^ )

  • My first Elder Scrolls game is Skyrim. :3

Why do people say this game's the best in the series?

  • @GaraOFtheeFUNK There was way more weapons like crossbows, spears...and you could even equip candles and more stuff than you can in skyrim

  • @GaraOFtheeFUNK Just play the game, the only downside may be the graphics if you didnt play it before, but remind yourself that this is a game from 2002.

If you are just a graphics hugger dont play this game, if you go for gameplay, DEFINTLY play this game.

  • @joeriz9 there are graphic mods which at best make the graphics on level with skyrim or even better :)

  • @GaraOFtheeFUNK it was deeper SO much more to do kill anyone including storline important npc's get daedric at level 1 LOTS of different weapons and they are not just reskined stuff like in skyrim more skills (spears, shortblade, medium armor, etc) and all around more epic go buy it off steam for like 20$ or download it off piratebay

  • I just started my first Elder Scrolls game, Skyrim.

    :'')

  • Eh, Morrowind. This game was AWESOME, but sequels are awesome too. Sorry for my English, I'm from poland

  • Thumbs up if this game wakes up a lot of memories in you. Thank you Bethesda <3

  • 12 year old skyrim newbs, you are not smart for pointing out this is like the skyrim theme

  • UNGHHHHHHHHHH Nostalgia attack.

  • Morrowinds music is so awsome, its tempo is just amazing and makes u get into it. oblivian/skyrim is almost the same but u dont get the same feel with the slow adventurous tempo that u get with morrowind. i still think morrowind>skyrim

  • @CRNewsShow Very much agree. Skyrim do beat out Oblivion, but Morrowind is still on top. Stuff just "meant" more in that game. Every level felt more worth it, and you didn't encounter bandits wearing a full set of Deadric Armor, or random mooks who could 1-shot you with an arrow, despite capping the armor rating.

And the theme was far more awesome in Morrowind, hence why I keep listening to this, WHILE PLAYING SKYRIM.

  • @KiyokoFaith Morrowind was amazing, first TES I played when it first came out. Morrowind felt different, I totally agree with you about every level feeling worth it, and the theme is one of the best. I also liked the variation in Morrowind, I mean come on you could wear a full set of clothing, a full set of armor (with about 8 different pieces) and a robe over that. Plus all the skills. Skyrim feels too limited and easy to get good in the most powerful skills. Still love it though.

  • @HiGGiiiNz you are right, Morrowind was my first TES too and we think skyrim is easy because we played the hardest one :)

  • @blujay1524,

well i can only believe that bethesda and the people creating the music decided to adapt some part of morrowind onto the skyrim theme without sounding to similar. Honestly i think that they are both great regardles of them sound the same to each other, and if anyone loves elder scrolls as i do, they should feel the same way

  • @WarHorse141 dont forget! oblivion was the sped up version of this.

  • @Ohaiization how ?

  • @Ohaiization You are on Youtube. The Oblivion Theme is right out there--->

Go listen to it, and then come back and tell me that it is just a sped up version of this. Then we can tell you whether or not you are completely tone-deaf or not. Different instruments, different notes, different tempo, and different... hell, different overall. It's "Different with few similarities", not "The same with few differences"

  • @KiyokoFaith its sped up, not directly sped up, yes there are other changes. they are similar. I'm not going to write a fucking paragraph because someone wants everything to be accurate and specific, I get that from my family every damn day, i don't need it from you.

  • @Ohaiization Very convincing argument. I want everything to be accurate, if only because false information is spreading across the internet like the plague, and you are among the people who are helping it along. They are similar, but nowhere near the same. And relistening to both themes, half of the Oblivion theme is SLOWER than the Morrowind theme. So sped up? No.

A single part of the theme follows the same tune. The same with Skyrim's theme. That doesn't make it a "sped up version".

  • ...This sounds like the Skyrim song lol I never noticed that

  • Omg..If you want to make money..

    Make a elder scrolls movie!

  • Morrowind was released in 2002

    this was released in 2003

search- Pirates of the Caribbean Original Score ♫ Underwater March - Klaus Badelt - 2003 ♫

    skip to about 2:00

  • i dunno but imo Morrorwind>Skyrim

  • 138 people are retards

  • Awesome theme, even to this day (it's 2012!). But what's with all the Oblivion hate? I loved that game as much as Morrowind, only for different reasons.

  • It's funny to see how the themes of TES III, IV and V are based on the same music but different in the same way:

Morrowind theme is very peaceful, calm, poetic...like the game.

Oblivion theme is shitty...like the game.

Skyrim theme is powerful, violent and awesome...like the, well, you got it.

  • in settlers V is similar theme :)

  • I can find this theme in Oblivion and Skyrim too. I'm assuming Morrowind is where this theme started?

  • such a great theme, but this game is so frustrating to me because of the whole "blows sometimes dont connect" thing.

  • Comment removed

  • An amazing tune for an amazing game. I have played every Elder Scrolls game, and while Skyrim and Oblivion are amazing, and Arena and Daggerfall are ingenious and awesome, Morrowind will always be the best.

  • @Icetalon453 I say that to all my friends and they just laugh at me.

  • @monday4002 My friends thought Oblivion was the first Elder Scrolls... I need new friends

  • @CrazyGrunt2 tell him that the penalty for this is death and to report to Lord Deadhark in the Thatcher Valley's.

  • I love how they added this into Skyrim's main theme... seriously, I wish I could just live in Tamriel. That'd be SO AWESOME!!! Vote here if it would.

  • @WeeklyCrafting i would be a dark elf, an ashlander...

  • @MrsZuckerberg Khajiit here. I have catlike features? So what? I get a tail. A FLIPPING TAIL!

  • @pop12234 Agreed, but still, I'd be pretty flipping awesome. We'd all be able to play this theme like second nature... whistling.

  • @WeeklyCrafting They also used it in Oblivion's main theme ;)! I wish they'll eventually make a TES game with the whole Tamriel and not only one of the provinces :/.

  • @Goutinator The first game, Arena, was like that I believe. And Daggerfall compasses all or most of Highrock and maybe half of Hammerfell. It might be the other way around though... :P

  • @WeeklyCrafting yay, but you would probably die with all the dragons and draugr and dremora and cliff racers, but worst of all. MUDCRABS

  • @therealGLAD or an ar-.....WAIT.Nevermind.

  • @WeeklyCrafting The same tune is played at a faster pace, but is included in Oblivion's theme also.

  • @WeeklyCrafting

Guess how many times I've wondered it? And my friends are like "ur mad, fucking no-life"!

  • @WeeklyCrafting A land of crime, violence, and general anarchy. Sounds great.

  • @WeeklyCrafting I would hate to live in Tamriel. I don't want some random guy coming into my house, stealing my shit, and killing everyone in my village.

  • that could happen in real life you know@Burgandary

  • @Burgandary I agree with azizking2. But, wouldn't it be awesome just to be there? Enjoy life? Play this theme on your flute like it's second nature?

  • @Burgandary So... basically you hate living? Because all of that could happen in real life, as @azizking2 said.

  • @WeeklyCrafting Yeah but it doesnt happen on a daily basis. Why? Do you live in an area where that happens every 40 minutes?

  • @Burgandary Dont worry! he is the THANE...no problem.

  • @Burgandary just fus ro dah his ass and take your stuff back XD

  • @Burgandary True, you might as well go back to Hyrule where a kid dressed like a green elf brakes into your house, smashes your pots, blows up your walls and tries to kill your chickens. At laest he lets you live. But lets face it; give the hero a quest to save the world and they can get away with all sorts of crap like that :P

  • @Burgandary I would love to live in skyrim, less pressure. Childhood is childhood, there are no schools, just fun. And you get to use bow and arrow, and don't forget magic.

  • @GroundHOG20101 You know what? Yeah. I would love to live in Tamriel. As long as I'm one of those invincible kids.

  • @Burgandary WTF are you joking? i would love to live there :D

  • @Burgandary i'd just use my psychic powers to summon the guards and then the criminal scum would stop right there and pay the fines or go to jail.

  • Only people who got Morrowind around 2003 understand how amazing it was. In my mind its even better than skyrim. There was so much more adventure and secrets and artifacts. Skyrim was great, but a Morrowind remake would be so much better. And if they only upgraded graphics and long loading. I liked have no quest marker and having that sense of adventure. Nothing will ever beat that first play through. It was amazing.

  • @JackN1mble I believe that might be the next elder scrolls game. After all, Skyrim was just Cyrodiil with snow.

  • @TheOmnImpotent That exactly what I thought. Just more mountains

  • @JackN1mble i got the game after my friend brought me oblivion. and that was in 2007. i still know the pathway to all the main directions in the main quest. The only questline i did not do was the redoran. I used a lots of mods, some of then created by myself. I forgot some names, but one of my biggest dreams is to ride a stilt strider. I play skyrim as a dark elf. So do not tell me that i dont understand.

  • Vvardenfel 3

  • Thumbs up if you are listening as jesus is being born

  • Thumbs up you are listening to this in 2067.

  • @McSaibot Believe me, i will.

  • just got this game 2 days ago :D

  • Thumbs up if you're listening to this in 1995!

  • & omg , i still love morrowind *-* just decided to install it again ^_^

  • learning this on guitar atm :)

  • When are people going to realize that this song has been redone for both TES games since Morrowind? Skyrim and Oblivion had the same aspects of this song in both themes. Bethesda made this the theme song FOR THE ELDER SCROLLS GAMES.

  • @Ubbbbberfish what they mean is it is the best version of the elder scrolls theme.

  • *best song ever*

  • The percussion in the beginning sounds like a timpani.

  • goosebumps

  • still sends chills down my spine

  • The skyrim theme is based off of the morrowind theme... Yea it's that good

  • Morrowind was the first game that made me extremely interested in Lore and the Universe the game is set in, made me read the books, even search for info about the characters on the internet. BTW outstanding music

  • Sounds a lot like Skyrim's theme.

  • You know what, since Bethesda won't do a ten year anniversary for this game, i'm going to make a new version for 360 and PS3!! To hell with the copywright!

  • I would like to see a playoff voting of the best Video Game Soundtracks!!

  • the 138 people who disliked this are all cliff racers:P
