  • Morrowind is still the best game ever, Oblivion was good, but Skyrim doesnt even remind me of an Elder scrolls game. Bandits everywhere, Skooma has no effect its like a healing potion, Frame rates are horrible like GTA IV I dont like it. I wish bathesda would remake Morrowind.

And sorry for my bad English

  • These environment made oblivious seem soooooo boring

  • i love the elder scrolls

  • I love this music so much. It brings back so much memories of seeing how much Morrowind has advancing to such a high quality game as Skyrim. I will always love Morrowind, and still play it to this day. The Elder Scrolls are amazing <3

  • this is awesome!

  • Lets all hope for a remake

  • Morrowind is still the best elder scrolls! Oblivion sucked shemale dick and i hated it! skyrim was funner then expected, but morrowind for life!

  • :O all the theme songs are the same tune but played in different ways, this one is slower and softer, the oblivion one seems kinda cheerier and the skyrim one is like a battle song

actually this version makes me think of like a sad love song

  • I just wrote bethesda if they cant reamake Morrowind with skyrim graphic animationt and more. Please all wrote the same they maybe do somthink if someone was that good thumb up if all see it and help us to resurected morrowind.

  • @DragonAgeCZ Why reserect a game that is golden just how it is?

  • @DragonAgeCZ Well, there is Morroblivion, a mod for Oblivion which is, in it's core, just Morrowind pasted onto an Oblivion template - I'd try that if you wish for a Morrowind, with the same epic setting, but with higher Graphical quality.

  • @DragonAgeCZ If you used that grammar in the e-mail, then I doubt they'll even read it.

  • Check out my lets play morrowind videos, Just started and need some feedback.

  • this. is. mindblowing. My brother used to play this when i was a kid, and listening to this brought back SO MANY MEMORIES....and i didnt ever play the game!

  • Thumbs up if you don't give a shit!

  • Thumbs up if you are listening this in 4E 202

  • Skyrim and oblivion are the best games but i agree morrowind was good its expansions were a little low for a TES game

  • @Punkrock3011

nah... oblibion was okay, but morrowind was 10 times better (:

and skyrim... no words could discribe this piece of epicness!

  • @SeksGnom Sufficient to say, TES is awesome in itself. There may be variations between the different TES games, but they still outrank pretty much all other open-ended RPGs by far. Fallout is awesome in its own right, but incomparable to TES. The fantasy world these games pull you into is, and probably always will be, awesome.

  • @KiyokoFaith

well... there's nothing left to say.

you said all necessary things ;)

    (i totally agree)

but in the direct comparison i liked the atmossphere of morrowind better.

but all these games are fantastic and uniqe. (okay, morrowind was one of my first games i REALLY played. and such an awsome game for the beginning takes the beginner up (:

(eeh.. sorry if there are some grammar-mistakes ^.^ )

  • My first Elder Scrolls game is Skyrim. :3

Why do people say this game's the best in the series?

  • @GaraOFtheeFUNK There was way more weapons like crossbows, spears...and you could even equip candles and more stuff than you can in skyrim

  • @GaraOFtheeFUNK Just play the game, the only downside may be the graphics if you didnt play it before, but remind yourself that this is a game from 2002.

If you are just a graphics hugger dont play this game, if you go for gameplay, DEFINTLY play this game.

  • @joeriz9 there are graphic mods which at best make the graphics on level with skyrim or even better :)

  • @GaraOFtheeFUNK it was deeper SO much more to do kill anyone including storline important npc's get daedric at level 1 LOTS of different weapons and they are not just reskined stuff like in skyrim more skills (spears, shortblade, medium armor, etc) and all around more epic go buy it off steam for like 20$ or download it off piratebay

  • I just started my first Elder Scrolls game, Skyrim.

    :'')

  • Eh, Morrowind. This game was AWESOME, but sequels are awesome too. Sorry for my English, I'm from poland

  • Thumbs up if this game wakes up a lot of memories in you. Thank you Bethesda <3

  • 12 year old skyrim newbs, you are not smart for pointing out this is like the skyrim theme

  • UNGHHHHHHHHHH Nostalgia attack.

  • Morrowinds music is so awsome, its tempo is just amazing and makes u get into it. oblivian/skyrim is almost the same but u dont get the same feel with the slow adventurous tempo that u get with morrowind. i still think morrowind>skyrim

  • @CRNewsShow Very much agree. Skyrim do beat out Oblivion, but Morrowind is still on top. Stuff just "meant" more in that game. Every level felt more worth it, and you didn't encounter bandits wearing a full set of Deadric Armor, or random mooks who could 1-shot you with an arrow, despite capping the armor rating.

And the theme was far more awesome in Morrowind, hence why I keep listening to this, WHILE PLAYING SKYRIM.

  • @KiyokoFaith Morrowind was amazing, first TES I played when it first came out. Morrowind felt different, I totally agree with you about every level feeling worth it, and the theme is one of the best. I also liked the variation in Morrowind, I mean come on you could wear a full set of clothing, a full set of armor (with about 8 different pieces) and a robe over that. Plus all the skills. Skyrim feels too limited and easy to get good in the most powerful skills. Still love it though.

  • @HiGGiiiNz you are right, Morrowind was my first TES too and we think skyrim is easy because we played the hardest one :)

  • @blujay1524,

well i can only believe that bethesda and the people creating the music decided to adapt some part of morrowind onto the skyrim theme without sounding to similar. Honestly i think that they are both great regardles of them sound the same to each other, and if anyone loves elder scrolls as i do, they should feel the same way

  • @WarHorse141 dont forget! oblivion was the sped up version of this.

  • @Ohaiization how ?

  • @Ohaiization You are on Youtube. The Oblivion Theme is right out there--->

Go listen to it, and then come back and tell me that it is just a sped up version of this. Then we can tell you whether or not you are completely tone-deaf or not. Different instruments, different notes, different tempo, and different... hell, different overall. It's "Different with few similarities", not "The same with few differences"

  • @KiyokoFaith its sped up, not directly sped up, yes there are other changes. they are similar. I'm not going to write a fucking paragraph because someone wants everything to be accurate and specific, I get that from my family every damn day, i don't need it from you.

  • @Ohaiization Very convincing argument. I want everything to be accurate, if only because false information is spreading across the internet like the plague, and you are among the people who are helping it along. They are similar, but nowhere near the same. And relistening to both themes, half of the Oblivion theme is SLOWER than the Morrowind theme. So sped up? No.

A single part of the theme follows the same tune. The same with Skyrim's theme. That doesn't make it a "sped up version".

  • ...This sounds like the Skyrim song lol I never noticed that

  • Omg..If you want to make money..

    Make a elder scrolls movie!

  • Morrowind was released in 2002

    this was released in 2003

search- Pirates of the Caribbean Original Score ♫ Underwater March - Klaus Badelt - 2003 ♫

    skip to about 2:00

  • i dunno but imo Morrorwind>Skyrim

  • 138 people are retards

  • Awesome theme, even to this day (it's 2012!). But what's with all the Oblivion hate? I loved that game as much as Morrowind, only for different reasons.

  • It's funny to see how the themes of TES III, IV and V are based on the same music but different in the same way:

Morrowind theme is very peaceful, calm, poetic...like the game.

Oblivion theme is shitty...like the game.

Skyrim theme is powerful, violent and awesome...like the, well, you got it.

  • in settlers V is similar theme :)

  • I can find this theme in Oblivion and Skyrim too. I'm assuming Morrowind is where this theme started?

  • such a great theme, but this game is so frustrating to me because of the whole "blows sometimes dont connect" thing.

  • Comment removed

  • An amazing tune for an amazing game. I have played every Elder Scrolls game, and while Skyrim and Oblivion are amazing, and Arena and Daggerfall are ingenious and awesome, Morrowind will always be the best.

  • @Icetalon453 I say that to all my friends and they just laugh at me.

  • @monday4002 My friends thought Oblivion was the first Elder Scrolls... I need new friends

  • @CrazyGrunt2 tell him that the penalty for this is death and to report to Lord Deadhark in the Thatcher Valley's.

  • I love how they added this into Skyrim's main theme... seriously, I wish I could just live in Tamriel. That'd be SO AWESOME!!! Vote here if it would.

  • @WeeklyCrafting i would be a dark elf, an ashlander...

  • @MrsZuckerberg Khajiit here. I have catlike features? So what? I get a tail. A FLIPPING TAIL!

  • @pop12234 Agreed, but still, I'd be pretty flipping awesome. We'd all be able to play this theme like second nature... whistling.

  • @WeeklyCrafting They also used it in Oblivion's main theme ;)! I wish they'll eventually make a TES game with the whole Tamriel and not only one of the provinces :/.

  • @Goutinator The first game, Arena, was like that I believe. And Daggerfall compasses all or most of Highrock and maybe half of Hammerfell. It might be the other way around though... :P

  • @WeeklyCrafting yay, but you would probably die with all the dragons and draugr and dremora and cliff racers, but worst of all. MUDCRABS

  • @therealGLAD or an ar-.....WAIT.Nevermind.

  • @WeeklyCrafting The same tune is played at a faster pace, but is included in Oblivion's theme also.

  • @WeeklyCrafting

Guess how many times I've wondered it? And my friends are like "ur mad, fucking no-life"!

  • @WeeklyCrafting A land of crime, violence, and general anarchy. Sounds great.

  • Only people who got Morrowind around 2003 understand how amazing it was. In my mind its even better than skyrim. There was so much more adventure and secrets and artifacts. Skyrim was great, but a Morrowind remake would be so much better. And if they only upgraded graphics and long loading. I liked have no quest marker and having that sense of adventure. Nothing will ever beat that first play through. It was amazing.

  • @JackN1mble I believe that might be the next elder scrolls game. After all, Skyrim was just Cyrodiil with snow.

  • @TheOmnImpotent That exactly what I thought. Just more mountains

  • @JackN1mble i got the game after my friend brought me oblivion. and that was in 2007. i still know the pathway to all the main directions in the main quest. The only questline i did not do was the redoran. I used a lots of mods, some of then created by myself. I forgot some names, but one of my biggest dreams is to ride a stilt strider. I play skyrim as a dark elf. So do not tell me that i dont understand.

  • Vvardenfel 3

  • Thumbs up if you are listening as jesus is being born

  • Thumbs up you are listening to this in 2067.

  • @McSaibot Believe me, i will.

  • just got this game 2 days ago :D

  • Thumbs up if you're listening to this in 1995!

  • & omg , i still love morrowind *-* just decided to install it again ^_^

  • learning this on guitar atm :)

  • When are people going to realize that this song has been redone for both TES games since Morrowind? Skyrim and Oblivion had the same aspects of this song in both themes. Bethesda made this the theme song FOR THE ELDER SCROLLS GAMES.

  • @Ubbbbberfish what they mean is it is the best version of the elder scrolls theme.

  • *best song ever*

  • The percussion in the beginning sounds like a timpani.

  • goosebumps

  • still sends chills down my spine

  • The skyrim theme is based off of the morrowind theme... Yea it's that good

  • Morrowind was the first game that made me extremely interested in Lore and the Universe the game is set in, made me read the books, even search for info about the characters on the internet. BTW outstanding music

  • Sounds a lot like Skyrim's theme.

  • You know what, since Bethesda won't do a ten year anniversary for this game, i'm going to make a new version for 360 and PS3!! To hell with the copywright!

  • I would like to see a playoff voting of the best Video Game Soundtracks!!

  • the 138 people who disliked this are all cliff racers:P

  • Can you believe its been TEN years since 2002 when this came out? I feel so old now... :/

  • Thumbs up if you are listening this in 2012!

  • @TheBromChanel When else would i fucking be listening to it? What a stupid fucking attention seeking comment.

  • @Kerleyyy Agreed. I'm with you, my good man.

  • @Kerleyyy

Well, idea is to show how many people watched it in 2012. There are many views (not only 2012, like you and me)... and to show how many people who still listen to this great music in 2012 I made this comment. And its not seeking attention, its just that feeling you start to listen to the music and then remember "oh damn, its 2012 now!Its been a while, but I still cant forget this music"

  • @Kerleyyy You mad he got more thumbs up bro?

  • @IsaacD39 Don't try and troll me you pig.

  • Morrowind should be remade and published on all consoles

  • Morrowind has the most beautiful game theme I've ever heard.. Almost shed a tear #Noshit

  • gods be pleased, i finally made it to sovengrud :D

  • any one knows the percussion instrument used in the song?

  • Dying mans wish: remake Morrowind with Skyrims game engine for god sake

  • @MrCrono95 if they fix the engine on skyrim first..... that console crap that if you move too much stuff it will lag horribly is just a epic produce fail.... but still an awesome game

  • I don't think that people understand that when people write music they have the same style so when they write multiple songs, they will all have a similarity.

  • too many dislikes.

  • Is it just me, or does skyrim sounds nearly the same?

  • @HaloBros117 the morrowind, oblivion, and skyrim are all the same song, but in a different theme

  • @Digerdum still some differences tho

  • @timewasteland Okay man, tell me how it is, cos Im thinking of gettin it aswell,(also only got Oblivion and Skyrim)

  • I love how each theme, of every game, represents the the place it takes place.

  • I love how each theme, to each game, represents the place it takes place.

  • How did Dagoth Ur find 137 people to dislike this?

  • The same chords in Skyrim. Should be easy to learn. :D

  • This is my favorite theme of all of them. It makes me think of lush green mountain landscapes in old ages.

  • Is Morrowind on steam? Please respond

  • @kraftyNiNja -- Yes! It was on sale for $5 recently. The Steam edition doesn't come with the construction kit, though.

  • @kraftyNiNja Yes, GOTY Morrowind is available

  • @kraftyNiNja Nope it's only on the original Xbox and PC

  • Woah, I never noticed that the Skyrim theme was based heavily on this.

  • @Mingaggins its based heavily on the last one too. they are all built off of each other. so that way you know its elder scrolls everytime.

  • the dislike bar is like a ninja....its there, you just cant see it. (:

  • How can people dislike this ? >:(

  • The best game theme ever.

  • @V4nIIsPL I personnaly prefer Skyrim's, but anyway that one is freaking awsome :D

  • @V4nIIsPL attached to the best GAME ever!

  • I can't believe how similar this seems to the skyrim theme :)

  • @kvikram19 Yeah, all the elder scrolls themes sound the same. Only that they were remade

  • Did anyone notice that part of the Morrowind theme is in the Skyrim theme?

  • @cheese319 they are all like that. they build them off of each other. oblivions is the same as well.

  • This tune still sends a shiver down my spine...

  • wanna see the title screen and that on-eyed dark elf, i dont remeber his name, it was jul?

  • @MrsZuckerberg The first guy you see, "Wake up, you were dreaming..." his name is Jiub

  • I cried when i listened to this song when i was 9 years old. Oooh morrowind, you good o'l memories.

  • Why did hearing this make me grab a dosbox and play arena again?

  • Best theme out of them all, IMO.

  • I'm gonna buy this game now. Skyrim is still my fav ES game I have played, (I've played Oblivion and Skyrim only, heh) but I don't know, maybe I'll change my mind after playing this. After reading all the comments, on how Morrowind is the best game people ever played, I think I'll like it :D

  • @timewasteland The ONLY thing you might hate is the combat. First person combat but still focused on dice rolling? Dammit Bethesda!!

  • @Horidikanas its still pretty good if you ask me, in that time they couldnt make teh epic fighting scenes like in oblivion, and remember its an rpg

  • @ZarukaCamoran Yeah I know, whatever. We should just be happy Morrowind happened. After watching that show about games' history I found out that without Morrowind we wouldn't have Oblivion nor Skyrim so s'all good :D

  • @Horidikanas And the leveling system that has you focusing on misc skills to get decent level ups.

  • great

  • Still the reigning champ of the ES series in my opinion. Sorry Skyrim; you tried. Morrowind remains Bethesda's crowning achievement.

  • I could freaking cry if i listen to this

  • The last good game from Elder Scrolls series so far, way better than Oblivion, don't know about Skyrim yet.

  • @LLukasrealista Skyrim is fantastic ;) Buy it, best game since morrowind!

  • The drum you hear throughout the song is the Heart of Lorkhan beating

  • @apothe6 pretty irregular heartbeat... :P

  • This game was there for all of the landmarks in my childhood. It's one of those songs that makes me kind of teary-eyed when I hear it. Best. Game. Ever.

  • @XGONEWBSLAYER You and me the same. I had Morrowind since I was 5. Maybe I was little young to be playing Morrowind or the XBOX at all for that matter, but I didnt know what the hell was going on and I just stole all the garlic strings I could. Reguardless, it was a great game at the time, better than KOTOR or Daggerfall/The arena (The first 2 Elder Scrolls). However, at this moment I wouldent waste my time with it when theres oblivion and Skyrim. Buyer be warned. If you do get it, DLC FTW!

  • Almost The Same Theme As Skyrim

  • Is Skyrim's theme made after this?

  • @Yoshi1223inBowTies What do you think?

  • @Yoshi1223inBowTies Yes i think so..there is a BIG similarity in Morrowind and Skyrim's theme

  • @SSJ2GOKU214 Technically all the ETS games have had the same theme since Morrowind, just slightly remixed everytime

  • Okay. I've played Oblivion and loved it. I've played Skyrim and loved it more. I've heard such wonderful things about Morrowind and how much better it is than both Skyrim and Oblivion. Should I buy the game. I do know about a lot of the problems, like the bad combat, and the bugs, but I'm certain I can work around it. From true Elder Scrolls fans I want to know if I should buy it, and if so should I get game of the year with Bloodmoon and Tribunal

  • @XGONEWBSLAYER you'll be disappointed with it now. The game was amazing for its time but come on it came out 10 years ago! It won't stand up to either Oblivion or Skyrim in terms of graphics or gameplay. And the combat really sucked in this one. There was a greater sense of freedom in this one than in the later games though...

  • @XGONEWBSLAYER the combat can be fix with mods and so can the visuals if you want, some bugs are fix by unofficial patches

  • i want to make babies to this music

  • so sad, my morrowind broke. sorry (starts to cry) youll have to excuse me.

    ]

Im 12, and realize, that video games arent always solved with a gun.

  • @Joeyc5499 yes, sometimes they are solved with a sword XD

  • I remember Watching my dad play this. One bad memory i have is before i knew the game well, I accidentally stole a drum and everybody in the club beat the fuck outta me for it.

  • Not even last night's storm could wake you. I heard them say we’ve reached Morrowind. I’m sure they’ll let us go... Quiet! Here comes the guard

This words are burned to my brain

  • i started the elder scrolls series like 3 years ago with oblivion, then i got skyrim at the midnight launch for gamestop, and now im going to go buy morrowind today. if your thinking about buying morrowind dont think too hard its only $10 and oblivion is $20

  • j..just EPIC!

  • Morrowind>Oblivion>Skyrim

  • @SirFluffey No way dude!

  • @SirFluffey Oblivion was utter garbage. Skyrim isn't much better, though.

  • @byakuya600 Ok, Oblivion wasn't as good as Morrowind, everyone knows that. I don't think it was utter garbage however as I enjoyed the game. Skyrim is better than Oblivion but still worse than Morrowind. Daggerfall however owns all.

  • @XxtheboredonexX notproventobeafactualstatement

  • @cheese319 notmeanttobeafactualstatement

  • @XxtheboredonexX Can't argue with that.

  • @XxtheboredonexX I think it's a matter of what you wan't to sacrafice into making a good game. Do you wasn't a better storyline/more customization but with worse animations (such as spell creation etc) or do you want a game with the exact opposite. I in fact enjoyed them all, but I enjoyed morrow ind the most by far since Dagoth Ur believed he was the good guy.

  • @TheDemeted I will always prefer Storyline, Customization, and Gameplay over graphics and animation any day. Daggerfall had a deep storyline, had a ton of customization options when compared to later Elder Scrolls (including Morrowind!) and while some people criticize the gameplay for being "different" I applaud the game for its gameplay. Overall I love Daggerfall the most but I still enjoy all of the Elder Scrolls games.

  • YOU ARE NOT SMART FOR NOTICING IT SOUNDS LIKE SKYRIM YOU FUCKING IDIOTS. ONLY TES NEWFAGS SAY THAT.

  • @SamuraiPie8111 get a life friend

  • @ManvsMachine7 NO U
