@intuit13 intuit13 I agree completely, my experience with switching from smoking to snus was simple and enjoyable. Snus is cheaper, safer and can be done anywhere I wish, in a movie theater, driving with my family or sitting in a meeting. I can breath better, taste food again and smell flowers again. I smoked for thirty plus years and I tried to quit nicotine hundreds of times without success, swedish snus is the only thing that's helped me.
Replacing cigarettes with snus one of the easiest things I've ever done. I picked up some General from a local store after reading about it online. At the time I was a 13-year pack-a-day smoker, and I was not trying to quit. I just wanted to try snus. Well, after the first portion, my desire to smoke was almost gone. The first 2 days I had 2-3 cigs, and by the fourth day I was smoke-free. Honestly, after trying Swedish snus, it would have been a challenge NOT to swap from cigs to snus!
This video pisses me off. I was a smoker then turned chewer. If you wanna quit nicotine then quit nicotine. I am also a huge chewer trying to quit. Chew fucks your mouth up and is not a replacement to smoking. Cancer is cancer. This video is such a cluster fuck and pisses me off.
@evenrude83 Alright, thanks for the comment, evenrude83! Always love to hear feedback. Let's go ahead and get into your comment. Congrats on quitting smoking. That being said, chew isn't snus. Chew does mess up your mouth and surely does cause cancer, much like dip, you're 100% correct on that. However as you'll notice this is a snus video. Snus has been proven not to cause any kind of oral cancer. It's interesting how many people group snus with other forms of tobacco.
I've been using Skruf Xtra Sterk only... so that's where my headaches are coming from :p
I never get any sort of buzz or anything like that, though... even when putting in the first one in the morning. But it keeps me from wanting cigarettes which is awesome.
This is a great video. Being a snus user for 5 days, I can really say that it's by far the easiest way. I still have a cigarette every couple of days, but I used to do a 25g Hand Rolled tobacco each day. If you can, please re-do the video without the music in the background. Keep up your good work.
My snus routine was always a strong portion in the morning then regular strength portions through the day. I have never really smoked, but used snus when I couldn't dip since I'm a "heavy user" and needed to be able to talk and not have to spit. Good video, it has a lot of good information.
I was about a pack, pack and a half a day. It took me a few weeks to completely quit and kill the cravings all together. Now, I may smoke one cigarette every 6 months, but I don't feel guilty about it. After quitting you can have them as an option, but the good part is you don't need them.
Nice video. well said. I agree and think its important that you pointed out about the different nicotine delivery. That is definitely true. People need to keep that in mind, because for me personally, the nicotine delivery in cigarettes has been a very hard transition. It might depends on the person, everyone is different, and also how heavy of a smoker you are. Just curious, how heavy of a smoker were you before you quit?
