@tylertcodyh He is, kinda. He sometimes gets his ring finger on his right hand to pick the strings that you cant pick at the same time with the pick. Like hitting the A string and hittng the B string at the same time without hitting anything in between them.

@bradloves2sk8 - Nothing is too difficult if you really have the desire to learn it ;-) Granted, having only been playing a week, it might be a difficult journey to learn it, but, if you're dedicated, you can get there! With that said, the intro does require you to be able to switch between various chord shapes relatively quickly as well as play various individual notes. So, I'd concentrate on switching between D, Bm, G chords then work on adding individual notes. Good Luck and Have Fun!

eew, first thing I noticed was .. tune your guitar! Ouch.. that hurt the ears. Your rendition of this classic song is amateur - grade 1 stuff.. it had finger picking slips and errors, an inconsistency of volume from one note to the next..

As for the difficulty of the intro, I wouldn't call it "beginner level." It has its share of fingering changes, hamer-ons, pull-offs, etc. However, once you get down the basics, it's not overly difficult to play.

Check out 0:50 into my 2nd rendition of the tune (3rd video response to this vid) to hear a single guitar take. This version has a couple guitar layers.
