Obama is gonna spread the war on "terror" to places like Pakistan and Iran. So will Hillary. So will McCain. You can't win unless you see through the bullshit of the media making them look like they are actually competing when it's all a charade to marginalize candidates like Ron Paul and Mike Gravel. If George was paying more attention to American politics he would see right through this bullshit with intelligence like his. If he can't support Paul cause of the right wing then support Gravel.

Galloway only supports Ron Paul due to his foreign policy. They are diametrically opposed on domestic policy. As a socialist, Galloway espouses a major role for the state, Paul is opposed to all that. I'd like to hear more from Galloway on Ron Paul. For what it's worth, I think both are goodmen and they'd most probably respect each other despite strong disagreements over domestic issues.

Speedy, Galloway has no clue about American politics. If he only knew about Obama's AIPAC leaning's he would retract these remarks immediately. Galloway is too loyal to polarized politics so he couldn't come out and support Ron Paul without looking like a traitor in the left wing community. Unfortunately, British politics are so much more complicated because their politicians actually talk about issues. In America we get sensationalism from politicians to confuse us. Ron Paul is the way though!!

Galloway is certainly not an expert on American politics but he knows enough to know that the leading candidates are all bought up. He, therefore, takes the candidates on that basis and weighs up the shades of poison. GG seems on some occasions to concede that but on others he gets lost in this left wing revere of his. I sense Ron Paul got the coverage that he did was so that the US establishment could measure what resistence there actually was.

the only reasons Galloway gave for not supporting Ron Paul is that he doesn't think he'll win the nomination or if he does he won't win the presidency. This coming from someone who's chances of beating oona king were slim to none.

Galloway is brilliant but he is making the same mistake that most American voters make;

voting for who they think can win instead of voting for who they WANT to win.

He didn't want Ron Paul to win. Obviously he agreed with Paul's foreign policy but on domestic Paul was right-wing in the extreme. Galloway himself described Paul's domestic ideas as 'law of the jungle'.

And in any case, having a balance between wanting someone to win and retaining realism about their actual prospects of winning is I think quite sensible.

George Galloway - what an impressive man. Look at his assessment of Barrack Obama. He thinks Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul are the best presidential candidates. What unites these two men? Both advocates of peace and the ONLY two members of their party that OPPOSED the war in Iraq. Does anything speak louder than a voting record? Wake up everyone, we need to move people like Galloway, Kucinich and Paul into the mainstream.
