The proper driving style is the one that you feel the most comfortable with and for me that is with one hand when im driving slow and with two hands up at 10-2 when driving fast. Just the way i do it.

heel and toe is a bit harder to match up the rpms just right with the heavier flywheel that you get in the normal econoboxes. It's easy in my miata, it's harder in my kia. I can understand why some people with the commuter cars would think it's not worth the effort cause of this.
