i somehow found an 'advance reading copy' of the hummingbird's daughter in a dingy trailor library in iraq. i brought it home many years ago and just finished reading it today. excellent book,...good job author.

I think the website is wonderful the way they honored our Teresita. I am a descentent of Teresita my name is yolanda urrea brenner, my father was joe perez urrea son of jesus urrea of clifton ariz. which would make her father my father joe grandpa she would be my great great aunt, we here in safford also have her history and pictures in our local museum,s in thatcher and pima az. we are very proud of our roots.

Hace como diez años leí la novela de Bianca Domeque acerca de Teresa Urrea, me ha parecido una mujer muy inspiradora para liberar a cualquiera de cualquier "mortal autoritarismo" como lo fue el de Porfirio Díaz. Y bien me lo preció a mí, no sólo porque haya estado en contra de la tiranía sino porque su siembra llegó hasta las letras de Heriberto Frías con su novela TOMOCHIC. Muchos debiéramos releerla y reencontrarnos en este presente bajo la sombra de una ultraderecha muy gacha.
