  • The fag at 4:15 urinating on the memorial...I wish i could see him in real life and cut his dick right off. Mr. Happy about that piss, I hope he got put in a hospital that night by people that saw him do it.

  • Song at 3:58 was the audio to a memorial video to canadian vets on t.v last year. I am unsure of the name. Here is to all of our veterans. Canadian, British, American and others alike. God bless you all for your sacrifices! Lest We Forget!!!

  • @mikcon3277 the song is "a pittance of time" by terry kelly

  • Thanks to the soldiers past and present who put themselves in harms way. God bless you all.

  • Im so proud to be born and raised in Canada. Salute to all soilders!

  • what is the name of the song at 3:58?

  • A Pittance Of Time Terry Kelly

  • Remember that greatness of the people who were in the war, not the horrible war itself.

  • canada is awsome and canada and britian were big parts of the war. we are in afghanistan fighting but before we were there for peace keeping and the united states just declares war on a random country

  • i watched this at school today :) haha

  • We shall remember them as heroes.

The ones who comment negatively on this video however, will be remembered as cowards, or not at all.

  • @Ryan987678 or as assholes

  • If I don't have any reason to be proud then you don't have a life.

  • I'm so fuckin proud!!!

  • Mucho Gracias Senor

  • Whilst i sit here in appreciation of our troops, i see those quotes comparing civies to troops and it smacks me right in my cheery drunk mouth, kinda like climbing a mountain only to realise somebody provided you a trail, or going to fish in a lake where they stocked her up. Thanks guys! Is all i can say, come home soon and have a cold one!

  • I find it amusing how brave everyone is on the internet. If you have ever worn a uniform you have the right to post otherwise STFU. If not, your BS will sully the point you are trying to make. Personally I suffer every day that they are there and I am not. Not for the gung-ho BS, but for the fact that they advance into the face of danger and I am not there by their side. Soldiers may join for their country but they fight for the man to their left and the man to their right.

  • "thats why we need more soldiers there ."

Sadly I must agree with that assumption my friend but what is most troubling in my mind is that no matter how many soldiers our respective countries and allies send it , I don't belirve it will ever be enough.will never be enough.

  • Quote " more british soldiers got killed than any other country ( on ratio for number of troops ) "

Britain has about 8000 troops with 145 casualties-soon to be 8600 total deployed

Canada has about 2500 troops with 108 casualties-

U.S has 33000 and will soon be 55000 troops with 651 casualties-

Using a ratio of # of troops to # of casualties one can see that Canada has suffered the most.

Britain's loss is about one in every 55. US loss is one in 50 while Canada's is one in every 23.

  • I agree with Keirfree. That poem is NOT titled A Soldiers Prayer and AMES did not write it. It is a poem from Mary Elizabeth Frye (1905-2004) who was a Baltimore housewife and florist, best known as the author of the poem "Do not stand at my grave and weep".

  • Quote "ermm you do know that the british force in afghanistan is the 2nd biggest , "

yeah he probably knows that but IT IS IRRELEVANT as his post referred to the war in IRAQ.

  • Ames110 as you did NOT write the poem you quote,, be a Gentleman, and credit the Poet that did. other wise you will come across as a Sad Arsehole

  • mycokerulesyayD Dude you seem well out of time, Iraq was so 2001-4 now soldiers from across the world are Fighting and dieing in Halmand Afghaniistan, so You want to feel gud for your self, Then Fucking Educate yourself, as Brit Dutch, Polish men die in Helamnd so You can shop at Wallmart

  • Quote "so You want to feel gud for your self, Then Fucking Educate yourself"

You should do the same starting with reading, spelling history and current events.

Quote "Iraq was so 2001-4" Last I heard there was still a war going on there.

You ignorant foul mouthed WANKER.This is about Canada's Remembrance Day and is for CANADIAN SOLDIERS,past and present.

Of course there are as you put it,"soldiers from across the world are Fighting and dieing in Halmand Afghaniistan" so I applaud all of them.

  • A Soldier's Prayer Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow I am the diamond glint on snow I am the sun on ripened grain I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry I am not there; I did not die. Our Soldiers may have fallen but they will not be forgotten. RIP
  • i shall learn tha by heart...

    awesome quote man Armes110

    and btw....this is really freaky but my soldier's nomber is 110...o m g !

i shall carry that number proudley

  • do you have proof of this? that I could see?

  • The best I could suggest is you go to the team1040 (.ca) radio station website and send a message to host Rick Ball and hopefully he would respond to confirm it. Unfortunately the contents of what is said on radio aren't as traceable as is remarks made in print. But I'm being straight up that Rick Ball indeed spoke of it.

  • ok thnx...I just like to have some proof.

  • I am a 20 year old Canadian and even when 1 soldier dies it breaks my heart to think about the family who has no husband, father, son or brother coming home to them. how can you not cry for them?

I thank the soldiers in iraq fighting for freedom, and justice. I thank you men in Iraq for serving the countries of American and Canadian. and I thank you for Showing that you will die to save anyone in canada or america. and WE salute you for that, just please come home safely. Amen.

  • i happen to be canadian, and i dont know much about canada and war..but i think this is an amazing video for remembrance day

  • Black Watch Salute

  • HOOAH CANADIANS

  • in all wars for ages now you have thought along side the uk, we are all fighting under the queen, all of us unite in the commonwealth is a unstopable force in the uk today we do thank and celebrate all your dead in the wars, as well as the rest of the commonwealth. i myself would like to say thankyou to all canadians :). you hear on the news the uk has got a special relationship with the us, well we might be freinds. but canada you are our family, the uks brother. our mother is the queen.

  • Yes, we are brothers; and we will be brothers in arms whenever we hear the call. The US may be our (crazy, scary) neighbour, but you and I are family indeed. Long live the Queen!

  • God save the Queen

  • True enough! I played many a soccer game against British Engineers in Gagetown and you ALWAYS kicked our ass.... but would you strap on skates and play hockey...NO:)

  • Words can not express my gratitude to the Canadian armed Forces. Thank You.

  • A Very Small Gesture: Because I don't live under a fascist or religious dictator, Because Canadians are the luckiest people in the world, Because I can say whatever I want, Because I can vote, Because my son was born in a free country, Because he can do anything he desires, Because he can aspire to greatness, Because soldiers value freedom as much as I, Because they fought for freedom regardless of the cost, Because they fought for us, Because they died for us, I will remember them.
  • amen

  • @wombatstew1 they also still die for the rights of strangers

  • Thanks to all the brave men and women that have fought wars and paid the ultimate price of freedom. You shall never be forgotton.

    Lest We Forget.

  • we will never stopped fightin for canada

  • god bless the people who fought for our freedom and the people who is still fighting

  • I think this is great, more ppl should be remembering the great Canadians and everyone for that matter who fought and continue to fight for Freedom Everywhere

  • to those Canadians who fought for peace and Freedom You are the Heart and Soul of Canada

  • In Britain, much is often made of the contribution of the U.S. in WW1 & 2. These people either Were not born at the time, haven't read their history or, going on about this supposed SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP that we are supposed to have with the U.S. The rest of us know that the Commonwealth Countries(NZ, AUS, S Africa, Rhodesia, India, even The Bahamas) joined the fight from the start. To them Britain (and the world) owes a great debt. But memories are short we know there is no such thing as Justice.

  • As a military wife I have to say that this moved me in so many unspeakable ways. I dread the day when my hubby says that he has to go, I can't bear the thought of him leaving and going there but I know he has to, it's his duty, he makes me proud and because I am proud of him I am proud of my country. If anyone, ANYONE dares to make this less of what it is, please feel free to walk in their shoes for a day, hell try walking in a military wifes shoes for a day. You'll understand. God bless us.

  • god bless the canadian forces for i am a former u.s. service men to all of my northern brothers and sisters may you all be forever free. Love you CANADA!!!!

In remembrance of our Quebecers soldiers died in Afghanistan to defend our country, freedom, and terrorism, they are all heroes and they have all our recongnition

On est avec vous les gars!

  • well it is not as bad as u make it sound but still nice video thank u for ur time

  • Thank you for the comment 52684. Unless you have walked the walk as the people featured in the show-you are in no position to judge on how bad war is and the toll deployment takes on soldiers and their families every day.

  • To all Candians, their armed forces and brave sons and daughters. Deepest love, respect and appreciation from Great Britian. YOU are the PRIDE of North America. thank you. God Save Our Queen.

  • Great video,my friend's son died last year, very sad day.Thank You for doing a this video, kept up the GREAT work.

  • Beautiful Man. Just Beautiful.

  • brings a tear to my eyes...thank you

  • That was an amazing video comming from petawawa i support our troops fully, and loose my temper when people dont. Maybe its because my dad is serving over there and has seen things many of these civillians never will.He watched his 2 best friends get blown up, he didnt get the chance to talk to us or e-mail us for 6 weeks straight. If only those people who didnt support knew what it felt like to wake up every morning wondering if you will get to see your loved one ever again. R.I.P heros.

  • This is Great! i was looking after my 9 yr old grandaughter on a Friday and I asked her what she was going to wear, she said "Grandma, it's red Friday today!" dau & son-in-law r in RCAF
