how durable are they? i hear people complain that the cord is so thin that it tangles a lot and that the thinness of the wire causes it to break.

I want to use these as an everyday noise canceling headphones with great quality sound. I tried the Skullcandy FMJ and didnt like them so much...

what do you think? should i go with these or are there better out there?

i listen to mostly dubstep, and electro type music with pretty heavy bass, will these be good or should i go to like i beats or skullcandys 50 50 or fmjs

Since i recently bought the s4i's

Heres a short review

The bass isnt very strong.

The treble and middle are very crisp, and the sound is in my opinion amazingly clear.

If you listen to dubstep or other bass-heavy music like me, you'd probably prefer to use an EQ on your phone, since the buds doesn't have a very boosted bass.

But for me, the Eq solves the problem quite well.

And often, the bass isn't the problem, only the sound is a bit too crisp

Shortly: They sound very very good. my opinion! :)

I'm stuck between the Klipsch image-S4i and the ibeats by Monster, both have received good reviews and are only £20-30 apart from each other which doesn't bother me. Personally I prefer better bass in my earphones and them not to snag on clothing. I have been wondering how they sit when in-ear due to them being plastic I've assumed they don't fit very snug.. Any advice???

Dude i also have the Vjays and they are awesome. I also want to buy a Klipsch Image S4 but i like the looks of the AJays one. i wish you could compare the two when you have the chance aJays one vs Klipsch Image S4

@axlerate99 Haven't had a chance to compare the two. hopefully I will soon. jays make very good products so i doubt you will be disappoint if you go with those. But the S4 are solid all around

@Boredatwork - your review of these headphones is right on! They are outstanding at 99 quid (US). I tried the SOL republic Amps (reviewed on your other link) and Beats by Dre Tours and they are just amazing. The visitors need to remember that you need to burn in the speakers for 35-40 hours and I do that on all my headphones for (shuffle mode for 48 hours straight) before I begin to listen.

i kinda bought these today with lotsa expectations.. and to be honest they sounded ok but not exceptional.. they never sounded better that $18 sound magic pl30's which i own.. bass is so tinny and i dunno... im so disappointed.. have heard any ear phones with good low end bass? which wud make us say wow! first time we hear them? like a subwoofer in your ears..! i dont believe in burn in as even manufactures dont say anything about burn in... any sugestions? thanks!

@akilghosh Try the A-jays. made by a Swedish company. I haven't tried them but I do have the V-jays. And they are solid headphones

I just bought a pair of these myself, and surprisingly I find the highs very crisp and the lows well defined compared to most others. I listen to a lot of bass heavy music, and find the bass perfect! It's not bloated, and it does not drown out any vocals or highs.

Compared to Sennheiser earbuds, I would say this will outperform them especially in the highs.

@ScarBro2006 the buds is another issue.. i tried the 3 buds... none gave a proper fit and they fell of very easily...the sound is clear..bass is just fine not as much we wud expect..atleast wat i expected. lots of good reviews for the hippo vbs.. may be i ll try that...i returned the klipsch..

@akilghosh You're probably not getting a good seal with the included ear tips. Purchase the Comply foam tips, they further reduce noise, provide a better ear canal seal which greatly enhances bass response, and they are more comfortable.

and also in terms of sound quality, the tremble is a little bit "dry" but the bass is awesome. the acoustic is also nice, and man...those noise isolation really works! I owed a pretty much good number of headset and by far this is one of the best...

Hi, just bought this great headset awhile ago. and my take is that it is worth every penny, the noise isolation feature on this earphone really does its job! its like wearing earplug, on office environment, just 1 volume bar from my iphone3gs is already enough compare to my previous BOSE headset.

you guys can try it at any epicentre...

if there's one thing that i dont like about this is that the rubber that is connected on the jack, it's a little bit long for me and prone to bend overtime...

@leennux, I had no connection issues with my android devices with the test. The only issue, was the call answer button aren't built for android devices so they did work sporadically. but on the 3GS and iPod touch, it functioned well

Great review. But slight technical info you got wrong. Those IEMs are Noise Isolation (Passive) earphones and not Noise Canceling (Active). Great earphones though.

I'm planning to buy one hear but sadly only black ones are available :(

These are DEFINITELY the best earphones you can buy. I ADORED mine before my brother took them and threw them away. I just bought another pair yesterday. : )

P.S. They are super comfortable. Almost TOO comfortable. They are oval shaped silicone buds to relieve pressure on the cartilage surrounding the ear canal, so they feel better than any other earphones, since I highly doubt anyone else designed their earbuds that way

With headphones around the $100 range we tend to expect a lot. How has the daily wear and tear effected them? From the review the quality seems great as far as audio with such a small headset I'd be curious about the materials of the device and how you would think it holds up over time.

@TheRaceforTech In my use it has been great, granted I can be bad with my headphones. These are hanging in well, also the case does help in ensuring they are in a secure place.

The audio quality is fantastic, you get to hear everything in a sound and movies and video sound crisp and clear

I've been a Klipsch fan for a long time. I own a pair of their sat/sub computer speakers and love them. I plan on buying speakers for my home theater system from them as well. Then, I've been disappointed with other headphones for use at work (a little noisy at times). Based on this review I should really give them a peek.

@ice212man these Klipsch earphones are a thousand times better than the bose. the bose do not cancel ANY sound at all and the sound quality is nowhere near the quality of the Klipsch S4's. i had the bose and then i gave them away to my sister and kept the Klipsch earphones for myself! they are extremely comfortable also and feel like you are listening to a stereo rather than earphones
