I say M.Bison is equal to Jin and Shin Bison is equal to Devil Jin.

Bison only gained the upper hand at the beginning because Jin is trying to transform. In Tekken Tag 2, while Jin is transforming, he's open to all attacks. Juri took advantage of that and launched Jin in the air, followed by M.Bison's Psycho Crusher.

If Xiaoyu wasn't here, Jin didn't need to transform. If Jin didn't try to transform, Bison wouldn't get the upperhand.

@abiola100000 I know it hasn't been confirmed but I've done research around it and Devil Jin's eyes are yellow in Tekken 6 not Tekken 5. In Tekken 5 his eyes are white. If it were a Tekken 5 story (but this game isn't even canon) then his eyes would be white.
