  • REPUBLICANS ARE ANTI-ABORTION SO BLACK PEOPLE CAN NOT RAPE US UNDER THE LAW AND GET AWAY WITH IT.

  • Ya please explain why the guy in blue gi has a red belt... he looks way to young! Is it some kind of different style of judo?

  • This is on wikipedia, you should be proud

  • I have always learn Ippon Seoi Nage as a throw directly to the front and not off to the side. This is accomplished through the "trap door effect" rather than loading them up and straightening your legs back out as shown in the video. Keep good posture, begin to take their kazushi and simply drop down by bending your knees allowing them to fall right over you. You can certainly launch someone very far using this technique!

  • Your all tutorial Judo videos are great.Thanx for uploading.

I did Boxing,Thai boxing and Krav maga now I'm in Judo. These are my child hood favourite sport.

  • figging ell, these guys are the Triads.. so scary...

  • Ah, good old Triad Martial Arts. Love going there.

  • Ippon Seoi-nage would be nage waza. Te waza? Hmmm.

  • Hi. May i ask what is the diffrence between eri and morote seoi nage?

  • morote eri seoinage is with lapel grip on the same side as the sleeve

  • if you're doing the right sided eri and morote seoi naga, then in case of morote seoi naga you'll have your right hand gripping the oponent's left sleve, while in the eri case it would be the right sleve.

  • I was taught Ippon very differently. As i pull the uki, I squat down a little at the same time, and as they lose balance, i just snap my knees...

  • How long is training to acquire the red belt?

    5 stars

  • when you goes to competition, there is blue and red, maybe it will take 2min to get red belt. lol

  • haha

  • arent I right?

  • I believe that uki was wearing a brown belt and it just appeared that color on video.

  • lol, I thought it is also sometimes used for beginners, be4 they get the white belt...

    Never worn it myself though.

  • some schools, use white, red, purple then yellow, but its normally for children to give a sense of achievement.

  • can someone please tell me why the guy in the blue gi has a red belt on? i don't think he is a tenth dan yet...

  • seoi nage should be done with feet in the middle, seoi otoshi is done with the right leg out like a tai otoshi action

  • I am unable to post a link here. If you search the yahoo search engine for Seoi Otoshi it is the fourth link from Kodokan org with pictures. As I mentioned below you can have your leg inside or out side in Seoi Otoshi. Thank you for your comments :)

  • I agree, Seoi Otoshi can be performed both with right leg inside uke's legs, and with the right leg outside.

  • I really like your vids ... i have a question ... what's the difference between seoi Otoshi and Ippon seoi nage?

    Thx.

  • Thank you for your question. As I have mentioned in the video I personally like Seoi Otoshi when my opponent is shorter than me or if I dont have a good Kuzushi, balance or timing, etc you can kneel down and have a better balance plus the initial shock of you dropping down and pulling him down will add more to getting him off balance. Another difference is that in Seoi Otoshi you can also use the Eri and Morete Seoi Nage grip and you are not limited to just Ippon Seoi Nage grip.

  • Also, although the knee or knees touch the mat at one time during the process of the throw, if at the actual execution of the throw, the knee or knees are not touching, the throw is considered to be Seoi-nage.

  • on seoi otoshi the leg should be on the outside instead of inside???

  • Thank you for noticing this. In Seoi Otoshi you can have your leg either inside or out side. You can also use your hand as either Ippon, Eri or Morete Seoi Nage grip. Please visit us again. Thanks

  • @s1heps,

Technically, a standard seoi-otoshi is drop-seio-nage, and putting the leg on the outside is an acceptable variation.

  • First time I've ever seen seoi-nage listed under te waza.. Nage waza, no?

  • Very Good question, Te waza or hand techniques are part of greater Nage Waza. Thank you for your comment. -Nage-waza: throwing techniques Te-waza: hand throwing techniques Koshi-waza: hip throwing techniques Ashi-waza: foot throwing techniques Sutemi-waza: sacrifice techniques Ma-sutemi: front sacrifices Yoko-sutemi: side sacrifices Katame-waza: grappling techniques Turtle turnovers,Osaekomi-waza, Shime-waza, Kansetsu-waza. Atemi-waza: Ashi-ate-waza,Ude-Ate-waza,Uke-waza Ukemi
  • Why the man on the left has a red belt .. ?

  • Triad Martial Arts is its owns system and style. Our Karate has roots in Kobayashi Shorin Ryu and Tang Soo Do, our Jiu-Jitsu is Brazilian from Rickson Gracie and Carlos Machado, and our Judo is Sanctioned and Chartered by United State Judo Association (USJA).

  • The Jiu-Jitsu rank colors are orange, yellow, green, blue, blue strip, red, red strip, purple, purple strip, brown and black. Nicholas is one of our Jiu-Jitsu instroctors and he is been doing Jiu-Jitsu for past 7 years. It takes a very long time to advance to higher belt in Triad system. That's why when our team goes to any Jiu-Jitsu tournament in U.S. always finish first. Our 5 person team just finished 7 in NAGA U.S. National and every one finished first in Gi and No Gi.

  • Thank you for your attention and watching our videos.
