All this...while grabbing gears. That's concentration. Senna was undoubtedly the greatest driver who ever lived. He was truly in a class all by himself. Wish he were still here. He brought alot to this world as a person, and while very competitive as a racer, he was totally committed to humanity...just look at his work with underprivileged kids in Brazil.
dam , that`s a fast lap ! preety bumpy ride too .... I`m now realizing the amount of effort it takes to drive these machines especally around monco .... my arm gets sore just by watching
I Truly believe what he says here, that he felt as if he was flying above the race car. It is the most perfect lap (of any circcuit) ever caught on film. He beat Prost, a Legend himself, at the Hardest track, in an Identical car, by 1.7% (1.4 sec.)!!!!!! THat's beyond Mind-blowing!!
Modern day drivers are the likes of Raikonen Alonso Hamilton etc. they can not be compared to the likes of Senna Mansel Prost! they are a totaly different genaration!
they can, but the cars have been dumbed down ever since Senna died. Safety is now the number one priority of the FIA. Before it was letting F1 teams what they did best.
They cant! And the best proof for this is when schumi tried the 1979 ferrari, the last cahmpion until 1999, he said that "I would never drive sth like that!" They are good drivers but totaly differnt genarations! We can not compare them!
Senna remembers a tance-like experience from Monaco 1988 quali, when he just kept pushing and pushing beyond his conscious limit, until he was 2 seconds(!!!!!) faster than Alain Prost (IN THE SAME CAR).
As much as I like the technology in F1, I do miss seeing the old heel toe. Perhaps if they brought it back, it might slow the cars down like the FIA want.
