  • I really love this song, this is one of my favorite music....^_^

  • this song reminds me why i became a baptized member. i've been away for too many years being in active and i feel the holy spirit listening to this song. it confirms that I'm in the thruth and am making the journey back home to my heavenly father and heavely family.

thank you for a powerful song

  • I am 13 years old and recently my mother made a program in our ward about the temple for new members. My friend who is baptized but very unactive came and we watched a slideshow playing this song and showing all the temples. After the movie, my friend whispered to me, "Oh my gosh, i gotta stop being bad. This song will hopefully be the turning point of his life and i am so thankful that he came because i've been fasting for a way to get through to him. thank you so much.

  • As I was first starting missionary discussions my husband and I sat down and while studying the scriptures he thought of this song and made me listen. I've felt the spirit SO strongly through this song. It's amazing. I cannot wait to get baptized in a couple of weeks. Thank you so much for posting this!

  • This is the only thing that can calm down my 1 1/2 year old. She is completely riveted and keeps saying "Jesus, Jesus!" So Thank YOU.

  • @LTJESSY I believe our lord would tell you to come to him (Hebrews10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.) I also believe he would tell you to pray about it. Please, beloved child of God , come home.

  • there is no nickname for the church, would the saviour say that he is the head of the mormon church ?

this is his church but i dnt blast ppl for calling eachother mormons i just dont.

  • Excellent! Thank you.

  • There is no such thing as mormonism..

we belong to the church of jesus christ nothing els we do not believe in mormon to be ehad of the church we belive in christ and he said his church will be in his name.

i myself am not a mormon but a member of the church of jesus christ we must not get inot that bad habbit.

  • mormons is the nickname of the lds church. the actual name is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

  • what are you saying??? you may have you're own point of views of our church but I'd keep them to my self if i were you. just saying because i don't want to bash you in anyway although some do. i don't. go get the facts straight and stop your hating!

  • i just love to close my eyes and listen!

  • this is my favorite song

  • This song is beautiful. I have never heard it before, but I love it. Thank you so much for posting.

  • This song is beautiful... i Love my Saviour and my Father in Heaven! He Lives!

  • I love this song so much I really don't think that it fits to a certian religion. all it says is that she can feel the power of heaven. I know that everyone feels the power of heaven at least once in their life

  • It is comforting to come and listen to this video when you've had hectic week.Especially when you're thoughts to morality after a loss of family member it is such a blessing to know peace comes to us from Heaven.I love this so much.

  • "Lay your burdens upon me" It is beautiful sacred peace that can only be from heaven. I testify of the holiness of temple and the light and knowledge gained. To lift us up in times of sorrow and concerns. You come away with a more meaning of who you are and why you are here. I am grateful that I know where my family is. I miss them and I stand a witness Father in Heaven loves us.

  • IN a world of tension it is so comforting to know Heaven is watching over us and hears our prays. Bless you David while on your journey.

  • What do you mean by by. "I want Mormonism to be like how it was when joseph Smith was around."? Im curious about your answer.

  • What do you mean "blood atonement"? We dont sacrifice or use blood in any of our ceremonies. We only use references to his redeeming sacrifice.

  • Oh not so . Mormon is not our name it has always been The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. Mormon is a nickname given to us. Not in a postive way. However it does not offends when it is used. Our faith is not dictated by 'trying to fit' We are christians as the name of our church and our believes state. Thanks for asking.

  • that's because the term 'mormon' is just a nickname people picked up because of the book of mormon. the church's name is in fact the church of jesus christ of latter day saints

  • Im sure jesus didnt look like a white man, he was jewish, he had dark hair and beard.

  • Ever heard of actors? Sheesh. The piddly things people will come up with to deny the spirit. Your loss.

  • you dont understand what i mean, i know they are actors but i keep seeing in the western world how they potray him as a white guy, blue eyed blonde lol which is a joke, they just do that so they can relate to him...or even alter true identity. Why cant the actors be dark haired jew looks? huh? maybe they dont like jews ..and i agree with them there lol

  • I love this song, Steven Kapp Perry wrote this song. It is on the D+C multiemedia sound track. Awesome

  • Where can i get a copy of this song? Its beautiful.

  • this song belongs to D+C soundtrack.

  • Realmente esta canción de D+C trae el Espíritu del Señor

  • Wuote from the bible " other sheep have I not of this fold." Hmmm what could that mean....

  • Its okay if he thinks that. Its he's chose. KInda reminds you of some of the same thinking that went alot with the people in Noah'a day. They had a pool party remember that lasted 40days.

  • Maravillosa cancion!!!!!!!

  • It's sad to look at Mormon Art, It shows Mayan temples because they have never found any existense of The Nephites or Lamonites temples so they use them for their story.

You would think the LDS people would question that.

  • But splitspeeds, tell me: How did mayans get the knowledge to build the pyramids? They came from ancient world, from Jerusalem. The thing is: I don't think, I know.

  • the LDS simply reject the words of God and look to Joe for answers. This is so simple!

In Luke 16:16, the Lord clearly stated, "The Law and the Prophets were until John: Since that time the Kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it." The time for declaring the forthcoming of the Kingdom was over; the kingdom itself was now to be declared by the Son himself!

  • Seek first to understand then to be understood. Check your assumptions. Your statement that we reject the words of God is wrong. If you must be contentious and inflammitory, at least do it intelligently.

  • what part of the truth don't you like?

  • Hello David. Is it possible to post songs of Afterglow too? I love Afterglow songs, they move me, heal me, touch my heart as well. I hope you can share some Afterglow music as well. Thanks.

  • It is lovely, but people from other religions feel emotional and have spiritual experiences when they look at beautiful images and listen to beautiful music. The fact that Mormons feel these shows that they are human.

  • .the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.' And if you say in your heart, 'How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?'— when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously..." Deuteronomy 18:20-22

  • Hello splitspeeds. I pressume your reply is connected to Joseph Smith's false prophecies. I know about them. The point I was making (very gently)is that just because we get a good feeling from something, doesn't prove anything. This music and the images are beautiful and give people good feelings. But I get the same feelngs when I attend the Anglican Church and listen to the choir.

  • The Music is very nice!

James 1:17 - Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

All good things come from God!!!

  • ...the Lord said to me, 'The prophets prophesy lies in My name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart." Jeremiah 14:

  • hey i'm Joel from Domiican Republic. I'm a LDS too. I just wanna say thank you. This video makes me feel the spirit so strong and bing peace to my life. i just love'it. peace out!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is amazing! Beautiful!!!!

  • Thank you for ths video i was investigating the mormon church for about four months and it was this video that i could feel the spirit so strongly that i decided to call the missionaries and while crying tell them i want to get baptized. She said that she knew it was going to be today she could feel the peace and thought of me . Thank you so very much

  • wow, that just made my night. Thank you for telling me. I know you are making the correct decision.

  • congratulations for your decision yucaptaf...

  • @yucaptaf

    Hi,

I had a similar experience while on a mission. a Husband called the home teacher who was my companion when we taught the husband, and said he wanted to be Baptized

  • @yucaptaf congratulations for your choice... I know that spirit is the same i felt when i was 14.. Every person has his/her story in the church, and the true join us nothwithstanding the fight and tribulation.. Never leave the gosel by own experiencie i tell you when you do it you understand thah without God there is not happiness.

  • Temple 125 is now dedicated! Rexburg has never been better and in the words of President hinckley, "The best is yet to come." God's work is moving forward daily.

  • Temple 125....125 years after the Idaho Valley was settled!

  • I hadn't even realized that.

  • Thank you DavidCottam for uploading this video on YOUTUBE. It made my Sabbath Day.

  • aren't you in the ft. collins stake

  • @gfish182 Well I was. Now I am in another Stake in Idaho

  • would you be able to post more video's of Stephen Kapp Perry's work (mainly FROM CUMORAH'S HILL)

  • where could i find the music? This is what I have of his

  • It's sad that we can't all just enjoy the music and the pictures of beauty and of our Savior in whom so many (including the Mormons) believe. If you want to bash the Mormons then please do it somewhere else. Try watching the movie and thinking of it as a possible good friut; try commenting on what you see rather than dissing others based on your own limited conceptions of our religion.

  • The same chapter of the Bible says judge not lest you be judged goes on to warn about false prophets. Jesus said we would know them by their fruit. One has to make judgments to examine fruit. Smith was a peep stone, freemason, occultist, polygamist whacko, the type of person Jesus said He would send to the lake of fire where there would be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Womanizer Brigham and his nutty followers were just as bad.

  • My response to this is to read the Book of Mormon and with real intent ask God if it is true.

If the Book of Mormon is true The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true, if it is false, the entire church would fall apart. The Book of Mormon is the keystone of my religion.

  • Muslims make similar claims as Mormons yet both cannot be true. They both reject the Bible as sole authority.

  • We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. We also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.

  • every church makes "similar claims." Catholics have the Apocrypha & Bible, Muslims have the Koran (an extended Old Testament), Jews have the Tanakh, etc.

How can the Bible be sole authority when men of impure intent have willfully gone through it the past 2000 years rewrote, cut, scratched off, edited, pasted & messed w/ it? There are over 100,000 different versions that all say different things.

  • 1- Jesus makes the eternal judgements, not man.

2- If the people one claimes are hellbent, whacko, and wrong are living the Christian principles of loving thy neighbor and being kind and charitable one to another and are doing it while one is not, then perhaps one must re-evaluate how strictly one adheres to the doctrine of one's Lord.

3- Never play chess with a Russian, and never debate scripture with a Mormon. They will win.

  • Wow this a sappy video. Pure white and delightsome spin on a deceptive money making American cult. Joseph Smith got what he deserved, eternal judgment in hell for teaching a false gospel.

  • The LDS church does not make money. The tithing which the church members give to the Lord is used for the building up of His kingdom here on earth.

If Joseph Smith went to Hell, it is not for you to judge. We are taught in the New Testament not to judge other people, for the same judgment we judge with, so shall we be judged with in the judgment.

  • The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is either true or it is not. If it isn't true, than I have lived a good life and have lost nothing, if it is true, I have worlds to gain. I know the gospel this church teaches is true. You or anyone, cannot shake me from this knowledge.

  • "Stand ye in holy places, and be not moved, until the day of the Lord come."

    (D&C 87:8)

  • um... just curious... but by claiming to speak for God, which you just did, aren't you doing exactly what Joseph Smith did, who also said he spoke for God? Who are you to say who is judged and who is not, since Heavenly Father is a merciful and loving God, and probably smarter and kinder than any human, yourself and myself included?

  • Well everyone is judged. There is no escaping it. But everyone is judged to a different degree because God is a just God. He judges His children by the amount of light each of them have.

As for speaking for God, I am defending my faith, and we as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have been commissioned by God through on of His servants.

Amos 3:7 -Surly the Lord God will do nothing save he revealth His secrets unto His servants the prophets

  • I didn't mean you! I'm sorry. I meant that other guy who said Joseph Smith was in hell.

  • oh ok, not a problem :)

  • Wonderful video! I've been searching for this song online for a while. I recognize the Rexburg pictures becase that's where I'm from. Our temple will be dedicated in February and serve 18 stakes (including those on campus). Thank you for including that picture eventhough the tmeple wasn't complete. I'm so excited for the open house. The church is true! Have a wonderful Christmas season.

  • thank you. I am up in Rexburg right now for school. I love it here, and am so excited for the temple dedication!

  • Really? When you say school I assume you mean college. I'm just finishing my finals up here myself. Two of my siblings are in performing in the jubilee celebration and I hope to be in the dedicatory choir. Are you on track during winter semester?

  • yes that is correct. I am at BYU-Idaho currently. oohh that would be so cool to be in that choir. I don't think my stake is involved. I will be helping with the open house as an usher. I will be here during winter08

  • oh man awesome video. were you at rexburg for efy? i went there that year too lol. actually for 05 06 07 each. bu tyeah, beautiful video man, i love that song

  • This song fills me with such peace and I feel so close to Him when I hear it. Thanks for posting it!

  • Vary beautiful video

  • this is one of the few songs I can fall asleep to because it's so peaceful and soothing. I love it.

  • whats the name of the cd that you got the song from?

  • I got it from the church website.

church website --> Gospel Library --> Music --> Download mp3 --> Seminary Music --> scroll down to Strength Beyond my Own or do CTRL+F and type in the name and it will guide you right to it

  • thanks

  • no problem, did you find it?

  • i got it from some where else....but yea:)

  • I found the song on the Church website, per David's directions, but, as you asked, is the song available on CD? I am not LDS but the song really moved me.

  • it is beautifull isnt it....i dont know if its on cd though.

  • It's on the CD "As Temples Fill the Earth" with one of the main artists being Janice Kapp Perry I think. It's a CD full of songs with similar messages.

  • I also found it on the CD "When Earth Met Heaven" and on the CD "Doctrine and Covenants and Church History Video Soundtrack" (not a DVD video, the audio CD soundtrack). I will check out the CD "As Temples Fill the Earth"

  • BYU-Idaho rocks! And Nauvoo too!

  • Wonderful. thanks for sharing!!!!!

  • me too I met lots of long lost faimly members there when we were going through navoo before it was dedicated(:

  • Wow, David! I really liked that! It made me think of all the good times in Nauvoo. I wish we could go back! :'(
