@xavierch You underestimate Schilt there. Height advantage is useless if you don't know what to do with it. It can even work against you because you have more body surface the opponent can strike.
Schilt is just made of skill. If he were less tall, he'd just have developed a different fighting style, and he'd probably still be buying a bigger house just to have enough walls to hang the trophies on. ^_^

Ali would have a tough time against Lewis because of his size, but he had much more speed and was impossible to knock out. And Klitschko is just too robotic to beat a guy like Ali.

Even though the training and nutrition might have been more primitive, there was FAR more talent in boxing then compared to now. If you look at the 70's it was filled with legends like Foreman, Frazier, Shavers, Lyle, Norton.. Ali beat all of them even though he was even better in the 60's. But today's heavyweight division is a joke compared to back then.

You can accuse Hari of many things, true, but not a weak chin. Him going down so often had everything to do with Schilt being just so overpoweringly strong and talented in controlling the fight.
Been there myself a few times. Reach alone doesn't cut it. But if you have that, strength, and considerably more skill than your opponent, you can get the thorough demolition we saw happen in this fight.
Semmy heeft het toch echt knap gedaan. Ik was verbaasd over het gemak waarmee hij telkens won, en het waren niet de minste tegenstanders! Hij had maar 5 a 6 minuten qua vechttijd nodig om de K1 te winnen, dat is een nieuw record!
Badr hari heeft die finale terecht verloren. ik had gehoord een paar dagen naar die finale dat badr hari last had van zijn ribben. en dat bij een eerder gevecht al had opgelopen. en ik heb andere wedstrijden bekeken en het valt me op dat bij die andere wedstrijden badr hari veel rechter staat met vechten. en dat was bij deze partij duidelijk niet te zien hier stond die een beetje voor over gebogen en dekking helemaal weg.
Vind ik ook, hij is veel te wild en onbesuist en heeft geluk dat hij er zoveel neer krijgt, mar dit keer pakte Sem hem heel goed aan.. Heb ook nog nooit zoveel honger in de ogen van Sem gezien, als hij zo gemotiveerd is, gaat hij zeker zijn 5e pakken in 2010.. Van mij mag hij, hij is een groot Sportman en wordt te vaak negetief in het nieuws gebracht, hij is niet voor niks 4x CHAMP..

Wat een toernooi was dit zeg, geweldige gevechten gezien, jammer dat Badr in zijn laatste gevecht totaal geen focus heeft en zo vaak mis slaat, maar super sterk gevochten door Sem zeg, mooi dat hij zich zo revancheert na dat hij vernedert was door Badr in het gevecht eerder dit jaar.
Badr komt er nog wel , en geweldig gedaan door Sem.
Badr Hari lijkt er weer eens blind op los te slaan. Als hij zijn agressie beter in de hand weet te houden en zich realiseerd dat hij met een sport bezig is en niet op straat aan het vechten is zou hij een stuk beter zijn. Desondanks weer in de finale en daar kom je ook niet zomaar. Schilt was hier wel heel erg goed in vorm! Met wat meer focus had Hari dit kunnen winnen...
P.S Had trouwens liever Badr Hari zien winnen vind hem veel mooier vechten als schilt. Toch heeft schilt het als voorgaande keren goed en slim aangepakt. Hoop snel een rematch tezien tussen die 2.

Eh, this fight seem mismatch in weight. But the big guy seem sloppy but Hari didn't do any good defensive. It's like a small and bigger guy socking each other, of course the big one will win. I think both are Muay Thai, so knee is the only defense. Lol.

You can accuse Hari of many things, true, but not a weak chin. Him going down so often had everything to do with Schilt being just so overpoweringly strong and talented in controlling the fight.
Been there myself a few times. Reach alone doesn't cut it. But if you have that, strength, and considerably more skill than your opponent, you can get the thorough demolition we saw happen in this fight.

Semmy heeft het toch echt knap gedaan. Ik was verbaasd over het gemak waarmee hij telkens won, en het waren niet de minste tegenstanders! Hij had maar 5 a 6 minuten qua vechttijd nodig om de K1 te winnen, dat is een nieuw record!

Badr hari heeft die finale terecht verloren. ik had gehoord een paar dagen naar die finale dat badr hari last had van zijn ribben. en dat bij een eerder gevecht al had opgelopen. en ik heb andere wedstrijden bekeken en het valt me op dat bij die andere wedstrijden badr hari veel rechter staat met vechten. en dat was bij deze partij duidelijk niet te zien hier stond die een beetje voor over gebogen en dekking helemaal weg.

Vind ik ook, hij is veel te wild en onbesuist en heeft geluk dat hij er zoveel neer krijgt, mar dit keer pakte Sem hem heel goed aan.. Heb ook nog nooit zoveel honger in de ogen van Sem gezien, als hij zo gemotiveerd is, gaat hij zeker zijn 5e pakken in 2010.. Van mij mag hij, hij is een groot Sportman en wordt te vaak negetief in het nieuws gebracht, hij is niet voor niks 4x CHAMP..

£4£ Schilt is poor . Its all about his size . I find him boring and my heart sinks everytime he beats a fighter with far superior skills just because of it. Maybe it's time for a limit on the weight for the GP and let semmy fight for superheavy titles and prestige fights when challenged by the smaller heavyweights ,before he ruins K1 alltogether . Normal Kick/Thai style fighting isnt designed for fighting a huge freak. Kicks and punches to anywhere but his chin are relativly useless over a 3 round fight . As there isnt time to wear him down . Wat een toernooi was dit zeg, geweldige gevechten gezien, jammer dat Badr in zijn laatste gevecht totaal geen focus heeft en zo vaak mis slaat, maar super sterk gevochten door Sem zeg, mooi dat hij zich zo revancheert na dat hij vernedert was door Badr in het gevecht eerder dit jaar.
Badr komt er nog wel , en geweldig gedaan door Sem.

Badr Hari lijkt er weer eens blind op los te slaan. Als hij zijn agressie beter in de hand weet te houden en zich realiseerd dat hij met een sport bezig is en niet op straat aan het vechten is zou hij een stuk beter zijn. Desondanks weer in de finale en daar kom je ook niet zomaar. Schilt was hier wel heel erg goed in vorm! Met wat meer focus had Hari dit kunnen winnen...

Achter elke stomp van Sammy zit een knockout is bekent ! Daarom zeer knap van Badr 2 X een harde boomstam opgevangen van Sammy en TOCH opstaan, een ongelooflijke wilskracht ! !
De derde keer de TENEN van Semmy tegen zijn ribben dat is wel smerig moet ik zeggen. Op deze manier heeft hij gewonnen niet met vechten !

najib100, wat een suf commentaar geef jij zeg. Er was niets 'smerigs' aan wat Sem deed. Die 'teentrappen' waar jij op doelt zijn Karate trappen en de tenen moet je achterover krommen zodat je de tegenstander raakt met de BAL van de voet.
Badr vocht gewoon niet goed genoeg om Sem te verslaan. Dat is het feit waar niemand omheen kan.

De beste? als je ziet dat de stijl waar badr meestal mee vecht nu geen impact heeft op Semmy. Hij dacht hetzelfde te flikken als toen in Amsterdam. Ik moet wel zeggen tegen Overeem heeft badr het goed gedaan ook qua voorbereiding enzo, maar hier slaat ie gewoon in het rond en krijgt ie af en toe een jab van Semmy en gaat ie down. Gefeliciteerd Semmy!

een aantal jaren geleden werd er een documentaire gemaakt genaamd vechtershart.. Daar kwam Badr ook in voor.. daar zei hij toen hij naar de K-1 keek.. dat dat zijn doel was om ooit te bereiken.. en kijk hem nu eens.. deze man heeft al zoveel bereikt.. en ik weet zeker dat hij in de toekomst de grootste ooit wordt.. want deze man heeft nou eenmaal een vechtershart.. dus fuck alle haterss.
