  • @mrgiloz the character itself is owned by animation mentor and is given to its students and grads.

  • Hey, Great work! I was thinking about using Animation Mentor, or go to the Art Institutes after highschool, I am in 9th grade and am persuing 3D animation. I already work with Blender 3D and was wondering if you could check out my channel and let me know if you think I would have a chance in the industry. Thanks.

  • Great speech in the first reel

  • WILL THERE BE BOOBIES?

  • hEY THIS IS REALLY GREAT! :) What does AIC stand for? Just so i know not to go there ;) haha

  • I'm in malaysia now and animation fascinates me. i would love to be an animator after my a levels. is this recommended? or should i take another university?

  • @andoi9292 im not taking classes in AnimatorMentor, but what i saw of the work of the students is just amazing. I heard they dont learn anything special about any software. Just animation. They are great animators!

  • you soud like woody out of toy story

  • Body language was awesome

  • I agree Art Institute is horrible, learned nothing and got a BA... horrible school, going to mentors asap!

  • @bmino71 Really?! You mean like, Art Institute of Vancouver? VanArts? I was thinking of going there for animation after I get my degree in illustration...

  • Great work, I'm glad the reel got you a job! Also, I'm starting AM in a couple of weeks, and your video is yet another sign that it is going to be great! Thanks!!

  • hi ,

Great work . Really nice n' wonderful poses

  • hi i realy like your work i was wondering if u had any tips on stopping the feet from sliding in a walk cycle.

  • I place a small stationary cube at the heel of left feet if im lifting my right feet, and make sure the left heel is not moving with respect to the cube so that I know that the foot is not sliding. Then I repeat the same process for the right heel.

  • I don't know what software you use but with Maya, you need to go in your translation curve (y, x or z depending on which direction you biped is going) and make the curve completely strain from the point where you foot touches the ground to the point where it leaves it. Hope I was clear =S. Sorry for my english I speak french =) Good luck

  • id do animation mentor, except its so expensive...

  • ditto....cannot imagine where someone can come up w/ that kind of cheddah. Unfortunately I am addicted to animation and will make the impossibly tough trek into the industry kicking and screaming

  • Same here. But Im going to a 40K a year college in Florida right now.

  • anyone know where to get a good free rig like this without paying animation mentor 18 grand?

  • there are none xD

  • 11 second club has links to a bunch of very good rigs like these.....

  • so your saying i could download the ones they use at animation club for free or do i need to pay wich i don't mind beacuse i really love thier rigs, the ones i use right now are from escape studios which i got while studying character animation.

  • good rigs scripts are everywhere. If you can bind them into a skin and weight paint well, you're good to go. My instructor had us use abAutoRig.mel script for rigging. You can google it. It's not very detailed and fine, but get's the basics covered.

  • I so agree with you on the university thing. I'm a senior art major at a university and about the only useful thing they've taught me is how to draw. They can't even critique animation for being blocked by the "oo neat" factor. Complete waste of federal loan money. I hope to start AM in January and can't wait. Great job!

  • Great job! Really nice work. I loved Animation Mentor, But I had to leave after the second semester. Money woes :(

I never got to touch Bishop or Brussels and I SO wanted to. I'm gonna go back one of these years!

  • great job i really love the expression of " come on" when the card house falls, i just think the table knock over can be exaggerated a lil bit more but that's just me :)

  • Awesome stuff! After 3 lessons? Animation Mentor looks very promising.

  • Nice reel. I noticed, however, that the ball he was pushing didn't appear to be rolling. If a ball were that heavy, and he were pushing that hard, it would roll upward. You should make the hands appear to be rolling the ball up the ramp. Other than that, great job. =D

  • Wow! After only 3 classes! You are doing amazing work! It convinces me more and more to steer clear of the university programs.

  • 3 classes is 9 months time :P

  • great work :) love the acting

  • King Kong

  • complete them!!! put them together !! they would make awesome film!!

well I hope the future holds the best

  • Fantastic reel! I love the introduction.

I can relate with you regarding Universities and they're awful 3d-animation education. But I'm glad it worked out for you in the end.

  • great job! I can relate to that card castle shot haha! Man thats frustrating!

    Ral nice animations there :)
