@Lisa1488 I have both recordings of Wenn Alle Untreu Werden. I like both, but the fast version is slightly better. And the reason most of the originals went missing after the war? The occupation forces in the Fatherland destroyed them. Ostensibly as part of denazification but jealously of uniform awesomeness is my guess.

@Lisa1488 Yes, likely with the SS bolts engraved on them. These guys were so elite they had their OWN SWORDS! I have one too, and have every right to it: 17 of my grandfather's family were in the Waffen SS, none committed genocide. But they were awesome soldiers. In my forefathers honor, I proudly recite the Deutschlandlied (THE TRUE ONE), Wenn Alle Untreu Werden, Sieg Heil Viktoria, and the Waffen SS oath each morning when I wake up, in my black SS uniform and helmet, no swastika armband.

@aracy54 Hola, las ss puede ser que hayan muerto por nada pero no el resto del ejercito Alemán. En todo caso murieron por querer establecer un imperio, como el estadounidense, el británico, el francés, etc. Mucha gente muere por su ideología sino mira o más bien lee un poco de las brigadas internacionales en la guerra civil española. Yo creo que todo aquel que muere por sus ideales merece un poco de respeto aunque hayan sido de lo peor. Es solo mi opinión.

They were the best light infantry fighting force until the modern day Rangers. Did you know that the surviving waffen SS vets do not get a pension from germany?
