i feel short when i hear this, from early 60's, weekly staple. hay, weren't the lenin sisters hot? best was the 4 of them on a quad bicycle. i think this show is why i like acordians even todqay.
I'm envious of all the nostalgia that all the commenters here are experiencing. I only just discovered this song as it was playing on something that's NOT Lawrence Welk. <:P
I see I am not alone in not caring for L.W. much in the '60's. Ah how precious these sounds are now. My now departed aunt and uncle watched it faithfuly whenever it was broadcast.
I close my eyes and go back to that wonderful place in the 70s when I use to watch this show every saturday with my grandparents and mom....it was the best...unfortgetable memories I think I appreciate it much more today...those were great times....consider myself very lucky....nothing like it today.
Reminiscent of when I was a little kid growing up in the '70's. My parents watched this show every weekend and I despised watching it. Now as an adult, I fully understand why they loved this show so much. This is very wholesome, refreshing and inspirational music from an era that will never return in today's world of sex, violence and reality TV.
Remove this video or I will report it......the picture of the cat with the bottle and cigarettes is, I believe, a picture of a cat that has been hit by a car. Very inappropriate...........
Thank you for this!!! My Mom and Aunt Leatha used to watch LW and this song always stuck with me. I used to sing it to my niece when she was little at bedtime and now she sings it to her 21 month old...good, good memories!
Its great to see this show back on public television. I remember times watching it when I was young with my Grandmother, and to her it was not Saturday night with Lawrence Welk
Sweet, cute, and lovely video slide show! I can remember watching the show on Saturday evenings back when I was little, in the 1960's with my sister and parents.
My Grandma used to sing this to me as she put me to bed. As a kids we used to watch the show on Sat night. Sadly my grandma passed away last month at 94.I will always keep this song in my heart, and the many fond memories we shared together.
I can relate to this, I used to watch this with my grandma when I was younger, but I can no longer see her due to family complications (i doubt i'll ever see her again). :[ It is a true song to cherish for such memories as these.
Lord Jesus Christ please let this person see gramma real soon please in your precious name Amen! get her number it should be on google or if she's in a nursing home get nursing home number and have the song ready for your gramma to hear it and say love ya gramma thanks for the lovely memories
