  • it's rectangular and has a screen on it! you'll be sued by Apple because of copying the ipad!

    sorry this is not innovation!

    2011 year of the copycats

    (ironic post)

  • Where will this stand with the next iteration of Android, IC, merging the phone and tablet versions of the OS.

  • Comment removed

  • iPad's got nothing on this.

  • I just don't get it. Why would I want to pull apart my device to turn it from a screen to a tablet to a netbook.

The cost of a network is small. I could buy these device individually and just use them as is

  • swiss army knife. Seriously. And can seamlessly switch between linux, android, and chrome OS on the fly. What can't this thing do?

  • French guys speaking english should be banned from internet :[

  • @hadesik LOL

  • 2 people dont like fancy things

  • Beautiful

  • I like-a, swiss knife-a, of innovation-a..

  • Nice solid device. good to see a piece of technology that actually looks like it is a machine and not a soap bar.

  • I never got this excited about an electronic device before. Think I need professional help!

  • Will it sell in the netherlands? I want one. And one for my wife.

  • WOW!

  • this is nice idea..

  • the viewing angl didnt look that good appart from that tempting :/

  • It's nice, but the average joe would shit there pants opening up the device. it needs to be simplified a lot imo.

  • @zbo7800 I think what they need to do it just build like a casket around where the mobile device goes (similar to like.. ipod docks and such) and cover the rest of the tablet. Because I honestly think that is the only intimidating part; the silicon showing

  • cant you please give an idea about how long it runs on the battery? I checked your website but couldnt find infomation on that

  • @donkekeli He's claimed 10 to 15 hours

  • MY MIND

    it is blown

  • A very cool device. Although I wouldn't us it myself I'm just looking for a netbook.

  • Yes. See dualscreen page on our website

  • Is the USB to HDMI adapter using DisplayLink silicon? Looks like that sort of thing to me.

  • I love this french-glish language...

  • Je vous remercie pour ces 3 minutes de bonheur :) et apparemment je suis pas le seul à avoir un accent fort fort prononcer en anglais vive la suisse

  • he talks very funny :D plug -> plög

the idea of this smartbook is very good!

  • I bet this thing needs a DVD Ron tray

  • DVD is for the previous century :-)

  • @gregoiregentil aw, that's not gonna be helpful.

I think you should post a video about your MID, that device that can be removed from the system itself and be used as a phone. I really want to see it's capabilities

  • @gregoiregentil tooo much pulling parts apart and using wires... sooo last Millennium

  • @Butters681 nobody needs dvd/bluray or any optical media...

usb flash drives are the best... u need nothing more...

  • @Butters681 what dvd ron? who is ron?

  • Sacrebleu

  • This new hardware is a little odd, but also interesting. I'm really tempted to just get the MID as a VOIP phone but there aren't (yet) any options in the store to buy the tablet and/or keyboard parts for a later upgrade. And what VOIP software is available?

    (I presume it runs Android)

  • Oh, my god.

I need some money... so I can give it to you...

  • @ringonian

i did got it, ure right. but i just say its pointless, i wont prefer it over the first touchbook. Instead they could save costs not doing it..

  • @Maverickx89 but other people like it such as my self including and plus it is all about ai making money not weather a few people dont like it more of if this product is going to sell. wich i think it will as long as it is introduced to the right market.

  • @Maverickx89, TEHO. they're still offering the touchbook with the updated webcam, bt keyboard, and a few other upgrades for the exact same price as the original. and i'm sure the backlogged customers will probably get the option to choose between the smartbook, new touchbook, and old touchbook.

  • awesome!

  • Sorry guys, its a funny idea but.. Where is the sence? If i want an ip phone i just connect my blutooth headset to the laptop, without takig all the stuff apart - which is much more comfortable an fast than this. Or i just use a smartphone which are voip-enabled today too but allowme me to skype even outside my wlan.

Secondary, i dont want to have to see the actuall electronics of the device exchanging its plugin: what i have static charge on my hands.

  • wow now i kinda im mad i dint wait. this makes the tb look like crap

  • Incredible as always. Keep on innovating!!
